29:00 I really like that statement; "What an honor for us to be given this test of life".
"Indeed, We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they ˹all˺ declined to bear it, being fearful of it..." (The Noble Quran, Al-Ahzab:72)
39:25 Even as a Muslim, when I first saw this video, I gained another positive perspective on the story of Adam a.s. from his explanation
45:48 This one in particular, the whole story emphasizing the "preparation" stages for us humans to be ready to become the khalifa of the earth. I always thought of it as a punishment from Allah because Adam and Hawa disobeyed Him (the traditional Christian narrative)
1:18:11 Couldn't agree more. In addition, Allah already created such a being that always obeys Him unconditionally without having a free choice; the angels.
    Allah Knows Best, wassalamu'alaikum...

This Mathmatican analyzed the Quran and found reason and answers
Another philosopher found his answers in the depth of the Quran
A scientist found scientific answers through the Quran
A lost person found the way with the Quran
And the list go on. This is just amazing. We really know very little on the comprehensiveness of the Quran and the different ways it speaks to people.
Allah is the most wise ❤️

In response to what you mentioned at 53 mins something came to mind.
I have come to the understanding that, one of the reasons that Allah created us was because he wanted to honour us. How? By knowing and recognising Him, All Gracious & All Powerful, and that honour being increased by us having a choice, and then doing His will, as opposed to ours.
(The fact that He knows which of us will be successful has zero influence on what we ultimately decide & do).
This is the purpose of life, and this is the life which will be tremendously rewarded.

📌 1:40:25 (the first part of you reflection ) :
I know what you mean. a tiny example: Imagine you explain to a 4 years old child over and over with clear language suited even to his age, that Suffering can be good for you. no matter how hard you try and how pure you are toward him and how much love you have for that child he won't grasp it!! And the reason all of us are searching for is impossible to find in this world: Our Creator can't be encompassed. We can understand vaguely that Allah is Wise, that Allah is merciful.. etc. But He and his Wisdom, mercy etc is still much more than that, etc.the intellect is blocked because we are limited.. we see a faint glimpse of that when we reason with a child.
However, we can increase our understanding by asking Allah more light to appreciate Him more and He is the Light of Heaven and Earth. May Allah grant all of us and and brother Jeffry Light to love God more and be pleasing to him when we meet him. Amin

    • @sutil5078
      @sutil5078 15 дней назад +2

I say "glimpse" "we see a faint glimpse when we reason with a child about suffering" tiny glimse because the gap between a child's intelligence and ours is much smaller than the gap between us and Allah, in fact virtually there is no gap no comparison!! see how difficult it is to find the reason?? But Allah grant Futuhaat (dawning moment , higher level of understanding) the more we get closer to him..

  • @Gulchih
    @Gulchih 11 дней назад +1

1:43:19 if you feel you lack the words just ask Allah He'll give you just the right words 😊 That's one of the best things about our religion, we directly ask Allah to put His gifts into our basket, and if we lack a basket to even collect His gifts, we ask Him to give us a basket and then His gifts too! Seriously! Isn't it amazing. Allah loves it when you ask Him and doesn't like those people who don't ask much from Him. He loves that we ask the best thongs, not mediocre things (we ask for the highest station in Paradise, even if se don't deserve it Allah like ambition in dua). For example if someone feels he doesn't know how to make dua, what words to use, then he can ask Allah to show him and He will guide him!

    Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verse 31:
Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
    Also from the hadith:
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When Allah loves a slave, calls out Jibril and says: 'I love so-and-so; so love him'. Then Jibril loves him. After that he (Jibril) announces to the inhabitants of heavens that Allah loves so- and-so; so love him; and the inhabitants of the heavens (the angels) also love him and then make people on earth love him".

1:43:08 second part about "how to explain it to others"" ?
that is not easy because Guidance is from God that is why you read in Quran God saying to the prophet "you are only a warner" he even mentioned that the prophet was so distressed so God told him "Then perhaps you would kill yourself through grief over them, [O Muhammad], if they do not believe in this message, [and] out of sorrow." The Quran 18-6.
among other verses explaining to the Prophet that he only convey the message.. that is it.. yet we struggle to control our desire God knows that and compensate us for our desire but teach us to be realistic "guidance is from Him" so we limit ourselves to convey , later remind them (if they are open minded or tolerant) and that is it..

There is an interesting quote by Marcus Aurelius that everyone should reflect upon, it says: “Since it is possible that thou mayest depart from life this very moment, regulate every act and thought accordingly. But to go away from among men, if there are gods, is not a thing to be afraid of, for the gods will not involve thee in evil; but if indeed they do not exist, or if they have no concern about human affairs, what is it to me to live in a universe devoid of gods or devoid of Providence? But in truth they do exist, and they do care for human things.”
-Meditations by Marcus Aurelius: Book II, Verse 11
God exists, and He loves us and He cares for us, and because He loves us, He sent guidance to us through his messengers peace and blessings be upon them all.

I felt safe that Allah is my Lord, and I remembered the Hadith that says: Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah laughs at the despair of His slaves although He soon changes it.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, does the Lord laugh?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'We shall never be deprived of good by a Lord Who laughs.

55:16 we know he was joking obviously about the Basketball match but it made me think how distraction (sports, social media etc) Ephemeral, fleeting!! imagine you know the result of that game now and go and tell your friend who even support that team about that old result of that match (maybe 14 years ago) not only they would not care AT ALL but they may question our mental capacity if we did so. Even if you go now to the the retired players of that match telling them that you memorize all their game results in their career.. by Allah they would not care and if they are intelligent would look lower of us and rightly so. I am not against sport at all to the contrary but it shows how insignificant the many thing we schedule ourselves to see... they should be taken very very very lightly as a distraction and fleeting fun between important task. beneficial hobbies are much better for us than those things... at least we can grow, or earn a side living from them. I'm always fascinating of important soccer match and how it would mean nothing even 10 days after!! many don't even remember who won the last world cup even if we watched the matches.. let alone 16 years ago or 20 years ago!!

When you think that from the children of Adam there was prophets and righteous people who worshipped God and did good in the most perfect way by CHOICE when they could do the opposite and not because they were made that way unlike the angles (who are created specifically to do good only and exalt Allah swt), this just shows how much of an honoured position humans can get before their lord they can even be better than the angles in rank
Also the wrongful deed Adam as and his wife hawa did wasn't eating from the tree actually obeying the devil and disobeying God
Another point I want to make, if humans were born in paradise and lived in paradise for eternity I don't think they would appreciate its true worth and will obviously never work to aim it and try so hard to fight their desires to get it
Last but not least the islamic understanding of suffering is indeed different from what humans are used to, the ones who suffer the most in life in the islamic point of view are the most righteous, the believers (the prophets have the ultimate level of suffering) and we are seeing our brothers and sisters in gaza they are one of the most religious people in the muslim world yet they are facing the worst why? cause the greater the suffering the greater the reward and because allah knows how righteous they are he chosed them to strive and be martyred in his cause , while on the other the quran teaches us that wealth, status, health, powers.. etc are not always blessings from god but a more reason for tyrants to more transgression and so they will be more increased in punishment
01:19:00 you made such a great point, well explained

“Whoever desires this fleeting world ˹alone˺, We hasten in it whatever We please to whoever We will; then We destine them for Hell, where they will burn, condemned and rejected.
But whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it accordingly, and is a ˹true˺ believer, it is they whose striving will be appreciated.
We provide both the former and the latter from the bounty of your Lord. And the bounty of your Lord can never be withheld.
See how We have favoured some over others ˹in this life˺, but the Hereafter is certainly far greater in rank and in favour.” Quran 17:18~21
People might envy someone with power, position or money, which they may perhaps enjoy it for a certain of time. But what about the great rewards in the hereafter? Only the wise will compete for the rank in the hereafter.
