I enjoyed your review. I come from California and had some trouble following your explanation, particularly the stats and I look at weight - the Smachet is 7oz while this baby comes in at 5oz. This knife is hard to fine in USA. I found retail store in Germany where I paid for shipping and the knife is on its way.
Yes this knife is much more slimmer and lighter than Smatchet. Leans more toward a tactical fitting design. The grip could be better since the finish is rather smooth. I hope you will enjoy your new knife. Have a nice day.
I really don't know it is not automatic the blade length is 4'' so if you have limitations on that parameter. The best way how to find out is to check with your local law enforcement.
In Germany you are not allowed to carry folder that can be opened with one hand if the blade has a lock. Also because of the blade this would be in the category of a combat knife which arent allowed to carry in general.

It snaps open so quick. Is it considered a switchblade?
No it does not. This is a manual opening knife that has ball bearing washers in the pivot this is why it opens so fast and smooth.
Design is very symmetrical, why did they stop at the clip? As a lefty this is a bummer.
Yes unfortunately this is the same with a lot of other broker knives.

nerv5th can you make some more hard test of this Atropos? Stabbing wood or something with full force. Make some feathersticks, sl
Unfortunately not at this time but I'm sure you can find hard testing on youtube on other channels that are focusing on testing knives.
I absolutely 💯 luv this knife 🔪. Unfortunately, here in Communist Colorado we can only conceal carry 3.5 inch knives.
