Electric 50% Scale Split fuse Clipped Wing Cub

This documentary follows the design, construction and flight of a unique airplane. It is an electric powered, 50% scale replica of a clipped wing, J3 Piper Cub. It is currently the only electric powered Cub of that size in the world. Because of it's ungainly size for transportation, the owner/builder, Geoff Dryer decided to split the fuselage into two pieces allowing him to pack everything into his SUV and 8 foot trailer.
Video of the building process, which also had a large, web thread following, shows various stages of testing and assembly of this large model in Geoff's living and dining room.
Geoff and his Cub are featured on the current cover of the Model Aviation Canada (MAAC), July, 2013 edition.
