good video Rich. thermal hasn't changed since it came out. you still get what you pay for. even tho it maybe a budget scope i'd like to see how it performs in poor conditions.
I'd have killed for a bag of crisps! Yes, you're right. Not sure what was going on sound wise. It picks up every rustle of my jacket, but even so, it wasn't great. I hope it didn't spoil the video for you.
wie698 Some maintainess would probly help after all mild stil gets eaten with rust . So paint it or and oily rag would deffo of helped. Maybe next time 😊 👍🏴🙂✌️
Nice stuff id like to see some info on richards gun . It looked as pricey as the fx lol good show nice bit of pest control. Fae Richard liked your set up 👍🏴🙂✌️

Hi Rich & Matt, another great video. I have noticed that neither of you have contributed to the January 2025 Airgun World magazine. Is this a permanent parting of the journalistic ways?
I've been through a couple in the last three years. I've always put it down to the fact that it spends most of its time creeping around the farm at three or four mph and rarely does a long trip...
@RichardSaunders-w9b thanks Richard, I only do 6 miles a day in mine ,but apparently, you can change the alternator in forscan from being a smart alternator that only gives 70% charge ,to giving out 100% charge, i also had 4 negative wires for my spot lights and dash cam connected to my negative battery terminal and not to body earth ground ,disconnected them tonight and will do another drain reading in the morning, don't want to get rid of the Ranger as I also use it for metal detecting
The thermal mode has a 3-12x magnification. The default is 3x, which I prefer as it gives the widest field of view and sharpest image for spotting. If you get the chance to look through one you should really give it a try. Don't just take my word for it!
I think a little quality was lost in the recording. Real time the image clarity is fine for close range spotting/targeting. If you're comparing it to the new 335 and 635 models, then yes of course the 225 isn't as clear as the new models have higher spec thermal sensors and cost more as a result. The 225R model is also a lot more affordable. I've no complaints, especially for 12 ft/lbs use.

John the Brinkworth smithy does the feeders, cheaper as well. I've got 8 of them bomb proof
Mine rusted badly over one winter and the welded on attachments to hold it on a tree fell off. Wouldn't buy again.

Hi. Yes, that's right. We now write for Airgun Extra - both the website and RUclips channel.
Nice video guys, Rich, where did you get the rifle case from please?
Thanks Adrian. The one in the video is from Buffalo River. I've just a new bag from Jack Pyke which is really good though. Thanks for watching.
Richard, off topic a bit ,but do you ever have battery problems with your Ford Ranger ? Had 4 batteries in my Wildtrak in about 6 years

ThermNight thermal reduce the size of target too, then i don't like this scope.

Be sure i appreciate really your video. I use also Hikmicro habrok miltispectral bino.
I compare pard T32 miltispectral and DNT thermnight.
ye agree great video but that mc has to go mate
Thanks, and yes it wasn't great was it? I hope it didn't spoil the video for you...
uhhhh that thermal resolution is utterly dismal compared to the new models

Well, that's what he has. Not everyone wants or can afford the latest and greatest.
