Ticking off another bucket list achievement today was super fun! We LOVED our first ever bullet train ride and even more special seeing as it was a Shinkansen! This made us even more excited for our trip coming up on the Tōhoku Shinkansen to explore Sapporo! 🤩
Over the 20 days we were on the move around Japan we use our JR passes to travel as far as Hiroshima and also up as far as the northern island of Hokkaido to Sapporo! We had the BEST time, but would love any recommendations for anything we missed! Any places or food we should try on our next visit? Please let us know! 🫶🏼

You were very lucky to be able to see Mount Fuji from the Shinkansen. Actually, there aren't many days you can see Mount Fuji from the Shinkansen.
It was very good to be able to see Mount Fuji.

The fact is even if it's a fine day, there are many cases that Mount Fuji is covered with clouds.

The wet sheet on the sandwich is for cleaning your hands before eating, not for wiping your hands after eating.
I think Japanese people have a wonderful sense of hygiene.

Hi, thanks for your reply. 👍
So you came to Nara this spring. (I didn’t notice that it was included in the Osaka video.😅)
Next time you come, please visit ‘Hou-ryuu-ji temple’ the oldest wooden Buddhist building in the world and a World Heritage Site. How do you feel about your visit.
At least for nearly 1400 years, it has been repaired over and over again to convey the appearance of that time.
The location is halfway between Osaka and Nara, about 10 minutes by bus from the JR station.
Nara used to be the old capital of Japan, so the ruins of the palace from that time are buried in the ground, and some of the buildings from that time have been restored. They can be seen from Kintetsu trains.
Finally, we are waiting for another fun video of the two of you. thank you very much.🤗🍀

That’s ok we didn’t really show we were in Nara it was just added to our trip in Osaka as it’s so close! We had such a wonderful time in Nara even though we were only there for the morning, it was such a great place and super chilled and we loved the mochi yummy 😋
Oh wow thank you so much for all of your recommendations we love getting recommendations and it sounds so beautiful 🤩 you’ll be pleased to know we will be coming back to Japan (hopefully soon) and we will be doing loads of bits we missed so we are excited to see all of your recommended places to visit. We didn’t know it was the old capital either 🤩 that’s amazing! Thank you so much and hope you are enjoying this series 😍🇯🇵

2:52 That green/yellow sign smack in the middle of the screen is asking you to stand and not walk while on the escalator. If let you eyes zone out a bit, the outer yellow part is the Japanese kanji for 'stop'. Brilliant sign.

The Tokaido Shinkansen you rode was built hastily in time for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Therefore, the track has many curves and does not go very fast. The Tohoku Shinkansen has many straight lines, so the speed is faster. Run at 320km.
