I feel like the Irish have the best sense of humor. Everyone can just laugh and feel comfortable with them. English humor, just sometimes feels like forced awkward laughter.
pcarebear1 I watch Irish and British TV a lot and I can say the Irish, English, Welsh and Scottish all have a very similar sense of humour. They share a lot of qualities and I say that with certainty because of those people I encounter they tend to make similar jokes and laugh at similar things.
pcarebear1 I agree and so are mine as well. Based on my experiences they have similarities when it comes to humour. Yes, you are correct you have no engagement with as much TV but I only wish to say Father Ted and Mrs. Brown Boys are both Irish but enjoy overwhelming success in The UK. That is all, I'm merely stating what I've encountered. I do have to say the Scottish are more belligerent and crass, Irish are more whimsical, the English are more dry and the Welsh are the ones I can't figure out that well but yeah generally I say they laugh at the same things. My English friend has Scottish and Welsh family and well one favorite humour is dark humour and well they quite enjoyed dark jokes very much so.
Abandoned Hope I think English people get offended more easily than Irish and Scots, 90% of Irish friendships are built on taking the piss out of each other.

I'm Australian but I lived in Ireland for a while and I remember when I would go out with my girl friends they would see me and say "aren't you wearing any makeup" or "why are you wearing flats?! Get your heels on now" my friends would wear tiny dresses, massive heels, caked on makeup and fake tan and lashes, then there's me wearing a simple dress, flat boots and natural makeup with no fake tan (I'm blessed with that Aussie tan) haha I just remember I found it so funny but I always looked more basic out of my friends

I'm sure there are some unpleasant Irish but I've never met one, love them great sense of humour, warm and friendly people, very different to the English for sure 💕
I can’t speak for everyone but I think the reason many Americans claim Irish ancestry (or Scottish/welsh/English) is because most of us have mixed heritage and since our ancestors emigrated we don’t have that sense of culture or heritage or ancient ties to the land which I think many humans have an inherent desire for.
When Covid is over I'm going on a city trip to Dublin! :) So exited, we Dutch people have a very good image of the Irish. Perhaps buy some fake tan? Haha.
I took a Trip to Ireland Scotland and England and I found the Irish to be the friendly of all of them but the Scots were good to the English not so much.
*For all the Americans, here are 3 things to take into consideration before going to Ireland* - DO NOT refer to Ireland as the UK or British - Its Irish, not Gaelic, just like in France there's french, Spain there's Spanish, it's not so difficult to understand - Do not mention anything got to do with lucky charms or pot of gold, people would just look at you like, what the fuck is he at?
1:47 while the theory of Mediterranean settlers from the 1400s mixing with the Irish is an old one, I read recently that DNA evidence shows the Black Irish phenotype is actually a much older remnant from Mesolithic Europe. Europeans had brown skin back then, which ofc lightened over time because damn there is No Sun lmao. So he’s got quite the legacy in his blood to be Black Irish!
That's probably true, my father did a dna test when they were offering them at his work and his results came back 99% Irish 1% Iberian. We thought the Iberian bit was pretty random but it turns out it's not uncommon for Irish people to have a little bit of really really old Iberian dna show up in their tests! My grandmother was disappointed because she and many in her family were the kind of tanned or 'black' Irish and she loved the whole potential Spaniard lover thing, lol.

I'm sure there are some unpleasant Irish but I've never met one, love them great sense of humour, warm and friendly people, very different to the English for sure 💕
Would love to see a stereotyped of Scotland
We are the best people EVER in the world!!!! Full stop!!!! No one loves having a laugh better than the Irish!!! Derry girl in the house!!!! 🇮🇪☘️
Do one with greeks next!!
Haha.
Haha! I hope you have an amazing time here, in Ireland.
God bless you.
Lots of love from Ireland
I'm from Galway and no one has EVER said 'top of the Morning' . And if you do say that you'll get thumped
All these are so true!!!
Irish are like the funniest bunch! They are loud and they are kraaaayyyzaayy too! Love my Irish friends!
friendliest people in the world=TRUE
As an Irish person I have never seen lucky charms in my life until last year...
They used to be sold here in the 90s they taste literally like eating spoonfuls of sugar
Man, people really are mean on here.
Ah it's just a minority of bastard's
Tell me who hurt you and I'll call up their parents ASAP
No joke, as soon as the lucky charm bit came on i noticed a rainbow outside!!!
I took a Trip to Ireland Scotland and England and I found the Irish to be the friendly of all of them but the Scots were good to the English not so much.
What did we English do wrong?
I don't know about the drunk thing because in Gort there's 2 pubs but I don't see too many people there
*For all the Americans, here are 3 things to take into consideration before going to Ireland*
- DO NOT refer to Ireland as the UK or British
- Its Irish, not Gaelic, just like in France there's french, Spain there's Spanish, it's not so difficult to understand
- Do not mention anything got to do with lucky charms or pot of gold, people would just look at you like, what the fuck is he at?
Irish people are the most friendliest ppl I met.. 1000% true...
Love the accent!
I was like what in the hell is CRAIC?!?!!?!
I hope that when aliens finally visit earth, they choose to land in Ireland. They really are the best people in the world.
Good golly. Bayleigh is so cute. She's just my style,
I would love to see a drink-off between a group of Irish people and a group from Wisconsin.
MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
Irish would smash it
Red hair with freckles is the best though!
DominicanStud101 agreed! I don't understand why red heads are made fun of and bullied in schools! 🙁😞
Vika10 because they don't have souls
agree completely although I am freckly PALE Irish ginger!!! LOL
4:56 She didn't give a damn about what she said throughout the whole thing. xD I love it.
