He said cooked green chillies sauted in oil along with Channa dal till golden brown. Then maybe add little tamarind & salt & grind to a paste. Seasoning in oil with mustard, dry red chillies & curry leaves poured over the ground chutney!
For Maduraites like me, this hotel is the one which brings in the nostalgic days with our Appa and others. Here, still we can eat the traditional Poori set, which means two pooris sandwiched with urulai masal. I think our Rajesh missed this. The tiffin sambar, typical native of our early times, kadalai maavu sambhar is yet another speciality.....

We went there a fortnight back as visitors to Madurai after reading reviews about it. Sorry to share that it is very pathetic. No taste, no hygiene, poor ambience. They have to improve the cleanliness and hygiene.
You are expecting a star hotel ambience Like shiny , glossy , a/c where they use refrigerators, lots of added ingredients, previously processed cooked items, food color for taste and to satisfy your eyes , added ingredients to ferment etc etc. these small center dont make much profits. Very little and prepare daily. U can talk to owner or cook easily . No need of appointments, no need to be VIP. Still food is served on banana leaf and not on paper plates with paper napkins. Which u can’t expect at star hotels at minimum price. They r running business only by word of mouth for multiple generations. They dont go behind copyrights or patents And are Simple people not running business as money minded.
