- We start our summer in Alaska in Fairbanks! Fairbanks is Alaska's second largest city and the coldest city in North America. While it does get the coldest, its probably the warmest city in Alaska during the summer since its in interior Alaska, not by the coast. We explored the Northernmost botanical garden in North America - Georgeson Botanical Garden. Grabbed some delicious pizza for lunch. We had to see Pioneer Park and we loved walking around and checking out all the historic log homes that were moved here. And we end the day with a delicious dinner at an awesome restaurant that serves Eastern European cuisine, something we are both familiar with.
We are so excited to finally be in Alaska after the longest journey getting here. If you enjoyed the video, give it a "like" & subscribe if you haven't already. We'd love to have you!

I love Fairbanks Alaska ❤❤ my town for 7 years on 2 more I’m go back to my country and I go to miss 😢God bless Fairbanks AK
Aww 🥲 hope you get a chance to come back but at least you will have 9 years in a place you love.
5 years in Barrow and settled in North Pole
Just curious, did you visit North Pole Alaska when you were in Fairbanks? It’s about 20 miles out of town and a quirky little community all its own with a year-round Christmas theme.
Yes we did! Probably should have included it in this video since it’s so close but decided not to since it’s a different town.
@@NickandJulie Different but not really separate. Like a lot of towns in California that aren’t LA but have merged into it. I understand. I graduated from North Pole High School. And sadly, because of its size, North Pole probably doesn’t rate a video all its own. Did you make it up to another local sight, Chena Hot Springs?
Im missing Alaska..With this 103 degree weather..
wow that’s hot 🥵 we had a cool summer up here, already moving into fall. Send some of that warmth up here, we’ll send some chill 😆
@@NickandJulie I wish I could.We were stationed in Anchorage
@@jaec6462oh nice! Did you do okay with the winters? I just know I’d struggle with the dark & cold for so long. I had a hard time in Ohio winters 😅 We spent a few days there, didn’t film just did a bunch of errands since its one of few places in Alaska with all the stores.
Take off your hats at the table!!
Okay!

Alaskaland, not pioneer park.
Did they rename it this year?
@@NickandJulie No, the Traditional name we refuse to relinquish, on one of the buildings they have an old map of Alaskaland back in the day. the powers that be changed it because it sounded like an amusement park.
