I was playing this with my friend, and we were doing the voices for the characters, and I just so happened to be doing Nageki. I started to choke up on how this ending went....

he is an empath, and his plight resonated with me so strongly that during the finale I cried. I was surrounded by friends and played that game and I cried. It is incredibly moving.
It's been a year since I discovered my friend had seen this ending, and I convinced him to watch a full play through, like I had. Time flies, doesn't it? Unless, you know. Your clock is broken and you never age and can never leave the one room you are inside of.
This track reminds me of something that came out of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. For that, it makes it that much better. ;-; this track makes the ending all the more sad.
I've always imagined that after Nageki fully passed from this world, he watches over the main character like a guardian angel from Heaven. He loves her... He watches her fall in love with another, have children, grow old... He watches her laugh and be joyful, but also weep and be sad. He does all that he can, protecting her and those she loves. All that he wishes and hopes for... is that she remembers him and his love for her. ...I'm making myself cry, dammit! ;_;
The last time I cried as hard as I did during this ending was when I watched Tales of Ba Sing Se... And that episode with uncle Iroh was the hardest I had cried in my entire life, period. Q___Q
Deadass though I was listening to PMD music when the melody of this song started to play in my head. I couldn't place it to any PMD song for a while until I had a eureka moment which brought me to the wonderful HB corner of RUclips once again. It's a nice place to be, though, regardless of how depressing it is to hear this song once again.
