My sister who is heavily Venusian/Mercurial was madly in love with _One Fish, Two Fish_ as a young child, because of the rhythmic pattern and quirky words of Dr. Seuss. I don't even remember her learning to read; it seems like she always did. Years later, my nieces had the same feeling for a couple of Wilson Gage books, for the same reasons.
The ways that Natal Venus in Gemini has manifested in my life (conjunct Mercury in Gemini, 7th house) - much of my life and relationships have been centered around music since I was a teenager. I've had a knack for creative writing since I was young. I identify as gender fluid. Of the five at least somewhat serious relationships in my life so far, all of them began with some unintentional polyamory, always someone else significant in the picture before we could get together. I can be very reserved and inward with my chart's Taurus sun, Scorpio Moon and Cap Saturn, but when I go to parties I tend to bring a lot of life and antics from seemingly nowhere! Venus Gem!
My daughter has Venus in Gemini! She is super talented singer songwriter who has very quickly and easily been learning the latest tech around recording music. She has a beautiful voice. Alot of what you said though so spot on! She is only 15 so will be interesting to see how this unfolds over time etc.

My son has Gem Venus 7H and it's his Jupiter return this year. His German gf's flights home have been cancelled, so they will have plenty of togetherness all summer. He's not happy she's stuck here, but he's happy she's stuck here.
My husband has venus in gemini and mercury in taurus. He loves to make music trough softwares, that thing of the “how the spirit have fun” is true,, it is difficult for him being more materialistic. And he is extremely neutral and polite in his public persona. And he speaks different languages but I assume that is more related with Mercury in the 9th house. The complicated thing is that his mercury opposes saturn and mars, so he can be zero assertive in his family communications. Sorry to extend myself so much. Being a Mercury aries me, this has been the issue of my marriage.

I have Venus in Gemini. I'm sure it's probably because of my double Cappy nature that I'm one of those that something beautiful has to have a practical application. I also find intelligence attractive which is why I married my super technically minded engineer husband. Even choosing what songs and cartoons my daughter watches the requirement is that it needs to be intelligent. The only person I will be super goofy with is my husband.
Venus in Gemini conjunct Mercury in Taurus, best of both worlds :) Just to mention a few things... I love to play with words, how to put things as beautiful and at the same time as correct and meaningful as possible. That can have a downside of taking to long to know what to say or how to say it. To not get lost in finding the right words, I get back to basics. Pictures paint a 1000 words. Metaphores and fairytales are music to my ears. With Venus and Mercury in the 11th house it can get surreal. And yes, as above so below, heaven and earth dynamics. All you say in this video sounds familiar to me. Looking forward to part two.
I think I love Venus in Gemini. I am teaching myself how to use iMovie and I have been making movies using a lot of nature videos, music, and "monologues" . It's a return to acting/performance for me and I can't get enough of it. Oh gosh, the childhood toys, you totally got me walking down that lane: Slime, Silly Putty, Operation, Jacks, Slinkys, Weebles, Nerf (70's child!!!). Good times, and we had the coolest toys IMO ! :)

A suggestion for introducing your daughters to playing and learning music and that is to look for a Yamaha YPG-235 keyboard, its a really cool "Smart 76 key keyboard/DAW" , that has on board an actual piano teacher, 6 track recording, 16 channel midi capability, and lighted keys to teach what finger and key to play, and tons of background sequences to support learning to play along with. Now look, this keyboard it runs about $329.99 new, obviously overpriced, as you can easily find one as I did used for 60 to 100 dollars or less on craigslist. I just got my Granddaughter who is 6 years old, a YPG-235 in pristine shape and working order for just 60 dollars used off the Denver CL/craigslist music listings and my 6 year old Grandaughter is just enthusiastically immersing herself in it during this long quarantine/home sheltering here in Colorado and my daughter and I are both loving how this inexpensive used keyboard teaches music while a child or anyone of any age turns it on and starts to play with it I play keyboards beside guitar, and I have expensive electric grands and high end KARMA and Triton Studio Korg DAWS in my studio, but I am thinking of buying a used Yamaha YPG235 for myself now too cause the units are just so much fun to play around on for anybody ! LOL! . Cheers !

Have you observed any noteworthy conclusions about how retrograde periods affect those with natal retrogrades? This is a little self-serving, but I don’t hear much about this topic from other astrologers and I have a retrograde Venus in my natal chart.

I have venus in Gemini in my 12th house(sun in cancer in the 12th also) and this transition has already been a doosie. When the 'planets aligned' last year my boyfriend proposed and we were engaged. Hes been sober for over 2years now. About a month ago things got really strange and I confronted him about a relapse, more like a family Intervention. The issues are reoccurring though and I feel like my intuition wouldn't have guided me to so many shocking discoveries had it not been meant for me to make some serious changes around here. ✌❤🕉

I have the Sun and Mercury in Gemini in the 7th house in my natal chart so Venus is transiting those and I’m feeling and seeing the influence in my life.
I had a breakup in early February and waited to let the visceral pain of it pass before considering anyone new and I definitely did not want to be available for a rebound. I can’t have relations with people casually.
I have known someone online for 2+ years because we are in a similar social circle. I do more sensual or tabu modeling and he is a photographer. We always wanted to collaborate and shoot together but it just never materialized but over the length of time have developed this kind of slow growing friendship and understanding of one another even though we’ve never met in person. He lives in LA and I live in San Diego, CA.
We are both parents and both quarantining this entire time and unable to express ourselves creatively.
We made a quick decision for him to come over to my house because my daughter visited her father for the weekend and had a shoot. Very last minute and no prior planning.
It was such a marvelous experience. He mostly kept his distance from me physically and we found creative ways to use the enforced distance protocol.
Some of the poses I did had to be dramatized to make up for the distance. He was drawn to my hands more than anything and the dimensional bony structure of my facial features and ended up changing his lens to a manual black and white filter.
One thing he said was that I was much tinier in person than he had expected this whole time which he could see colored his idea of who I was as a woman. I often get shot at low angles which makes me look tall and lanky and powerful. Larger than life and almost intimidating. In reality he noted that I’m tiny and modest, warm and welcoming. Sensual but also very mentally active. We had such an amazing time. He arrived at 5pm and we didn’t realize how long we had been shooting for. It was midnight when we finished.
We were laughing and playing and joking, quoting movies from our childhood like, “it’s not a tumor!” From Kindergarten cop. Haha 😆

Adam, your girls might love that one. I’ve been really into movies from my childhood recently like Jim Carrie & Adam Sandler and he had coincidentally been watching those with his kids too.
The experience was so much more impactful than a normal shoot can be sometimes because our interactions have been so restricted and colored with pain & loss. It was like being in a time capsule together for half a day where nothing else exists but that interaction.
He captured at least 1,000 photographs and they were beautiful. Nothing about it was forced. It was just this safe environment for us. At the same time however there were those awkward belly nerves you get when meeting someone from the Internet for the first time.
I love how the concept of ‘time’ influenced our art making together and the chemistry between us. Knowing of one another for such a long time and just kind of waiting for the right time under no pressure but there was always that sense and tension that ‘waiting’ was an element that existed between us in an unspoken way. It added deeper value to the evening and the results we got in the photos.
He was much more of a gentleman than I was anticipating. Evolving past that more shallow “hot chick” photographer to someone who wants to display something different and more spiritual the way a woman can. I like that stage in a man who’s walking through a door of starting to really embody and understand a woman’s value.
He and i both like the idea of restraint, patience, tension, and innuendo versus explicit raunchy media.
The process was erotic and sensual as well as pleasurable because i could feel and tell that he’d photographed me creatively a few times in his mind before this point which inspired me but there was something pure, simple, and sweet about it because of the energy feeling somewhat like being in middle school again and the kind of nerves that heat you from the inside out and make you dizzy.
That feeling wore away eventually and it was just a very nourishing, intimate evening.
I’m am beginning to feel less ashamed of my choice in art and less afraid to talk about it now also. I’m beginning to find a middle place where I can be spiritual and modest and an erotic model who understands boundaries better at the same time which is liberating in and of itself.

My Mercury squares Mars in Pisces in the 2nd house. Sagittarius rising at 24 degrees and Moon in Capricorn also in the 1st house... Wowza! So, I'm thinking it's why I'm left handed, a bit dyslectic and attracted to highly intellectual and quirky men and work within a Venusian life style of the arts. I have 3 children with Venus in Gemini. The first two, are my 1st and 2nd daughters that have their sun's in cancer. The 3rd, is my 4th child and 1st son. He has his sun in Taurus, his Venus in Gemini, his Moon in Gemini and his Mercury in Taurus. Sidenote: ascendant in Aries, north node in Taurus and Mars in cancer(like you).
Another interesting sidenote, my midheaven, South node and Saturn are all in Gemini.

Wonderful explanation of these two energies at work. I have my natal Mercury in 0 degrees Libra, which is a kind of Mercury Venus energy. It can definitely manifest as a childish bubble gum vibe as you say. Strange that it’s happening in the context of this apocalyptic Pluto Saturn Jupiter in Capricorn era. It’s kind of like that breath of fresh air that we all need right now and at the same time, due to Pluto and Saturn getting ready to practically meet up again this year, feels like we can easily get punished for taking it too far. My venus is in Gemini, along with my sun and moon in my 7th (and my Mercury is in Taurus). "Sapio-sexual" was the term you couldn't remember the word for, and that is me! I am primarily attracted to intelligence expressed verbally: wordplay, poetry, lyrical swooning. I am good with long distant connections because of this! Also, interestingly, I am often seen as very balanced between yin and yang and have a hard time finding "polarity" in relationships. I have been told by homosexual men that I am strangely attractive... since I am female, and quite feminine in my appearance and sensibilities and even suuuuper nurturing (I have saturn at 29° Cancer conjunct Gaea and Aura). "Words of Affirmation" is my love language. I don't feel loved if I don't feel "heard". I do lean toward multiple love interests (I manage this with friendships that are just as deep as a romance when in a monogamous relationship). Though I come off as playful and light, I actually need a very deep mental understanding to be interested in someone for a long time.
Negative: once I am bored with someone's mind (say they stop growing or aren't willing to let me keep exploring or they bend toward less heady pursuits) I lose all attraction. Unless the shallow shiny, venusian things that initially attract are backed up by deep wells of ideas to explore... I fly.
Virgo and Gemini in my chart and mercury in Scorpio in the third... I find I like a garnish of vulgarity if it serves to drive a point home. None of it and it feels bland and too much and it isn’t palatable. Depends on my mood 😆

Yep! I'm Virgo rising, Gemini MC (right on Aldebaran) and have a stellium of Sun Venus Mercury Jupiter in late degrees of Leo, 12th house. Was born a day after the inferior conjunction so I'm in the early phase of Venus cycle, both Venus and Mercury retrograde in my natal as well. As I've grown into my self over the years Mercury definitely rules my life and Jupiter is there to expand and dive deep into all the topics/studies/ideas/etc. Sometimes it's so hard to shut me up about topics and info that I'm passionate about LOL - but I also feel like the Mercury Jupiter allows me to channel in the info and explain it in a nice way? Venus is the planet closest to Sun in the stellium and it definitely plays out -- I am really into herbalism and floral design and just love the beauty and aesthetics of plants/tea/medicine/etc. I wouldn't say "love" rules my life as a common interpretation of Venus, but I definitely think I'm obsessed with the world's beauty.
Would love to hear you expand upon the fixed stars that are involved in this Gemini retrograde + Mercury coming in + New Moon --> not sure if you work with fixed stars or not.

I have Sun, Mercury and Venus in Gemini in the 10th. Venus is combust, not sure how that affects me. I'm also Virgo ascendant, so ruled by Mercury. I think I am dominated by Mercury so perhaps Venus takes a back seat. I'm not so interested in technology though, I'm an aromatherapist which I consider to be Venusian. Love learning always in my head. Love crafts and being artistic, learning to play the Clarinet. Like to be light and playful in relationships, laughter and fun. love spending time with fellow Gemini's. But Saturn in Capricorn in the 5th so it can be a battle.
(Re: Venus/sensual vs. Mercury/intellectual) I was amazed to discover in Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales" that the Wife of Bath relates a Medieval version of the modern "Women are from Venus & Men are from Mars," except she says men are from Mercury! I had never heard that before, I wonder if it was a common concept in Medieval times? There are actually a lot of really interesting descriptions of the planets in his book and it makes me realize that I think the Christian prohibition against astrology came much later than the 1200's! (It's also an extremely entertaining book, and the English is amazing and fun to read aloud, too)

I have Venus and Mercury conjunct (4º orb) in Gemini. My experience of it is a bit affected by Venus' close conjunction with the South Node (6' apart -- yes, minutes, not degrees), and all three in trine aspect with Neptune, and sextile aspect with Pluto.
That said, to keep it fairly simple: I LOVE reading, books, writing, communicating, computers, media -- and above all, I LOVE to laugh, love comedy, but not slapstick so much (I attribute that non-preference to Venus). I've been told I could have been a standup comic. As a teenager I went crazy over puns -- so words and laughter together.... One thing to say about Venus with Gemini or Mercury contacts is that it may tend to fickleness, inside and outside of romance. Novelty is key, in all aspects of life....Unlike, say, Venus in Taurus, I love art, music, beauty, etc., but I rarely take the time or trouble to get into longterm physical projects like decorating or decluttering. I have too much to think/write/talk/learn about! My appetite for new info and for learning lots of stuff (I'm a demon Trivial Pursuit player) is unquenchable.

Tik Tok is bad news for kids.
I let my daughter have one a couple years ago and she started to gain attraction. She’s uncomfortably gorgeous for her age and it’s a playground for pedophiles.
She gained some attention of older males and i ended that immediately.
There’s been some scandal in the media about tik tok being able to show locations of some of these kids and those predatory types having better access to those kids.
Good call on your part. It’s interesting how vulnerable our children are in these times.
There isn’t an enviornment for them to come inside for dinner when the streetlights come on the way it was when we were kids.
I’m curious to see how it impacts our societies future when they are grown.

Its hard to decipher what that venus return on my saturn conj. a transit north node could be suggesting. She just moved into a more formal setting so I couldn t see her moving again when she likes roots and I m not.
I have Venus conjunct Mercury in Capricorn (Venus 20 Cap Rx, Mercury 21 Cap, descendant 23 Cap) and I think it has manifested in a few ways. For one, I've always tended to be a bit of a peacekeeper, as I've often needed to be the calm, objective third party to sort of help people see the other side in an argument. I also tend to care a lot about the aesthetic value of my words. People have often been impressed with my writing, I've found. I do sing, although I am more primarily a musician in a general sense, as I produce my own music from start to finish. I definitely find myself going into excessive detail, as I want to make myself as clear as possible. I'd say it's one of the more positive placements in my chart, lol, even though it's square Saturn in Aries (conjunct the midheaven) which has been cause for some frustrations, social anxiety, etc.
I think "mediator" is more the word I was going for.

This is Taylor Davis' cover of "He's a Pirate," Jack Sparrow's theme from Pirates of the Carribean. Venus in Gemini has been an important placement in my life for around a dozen years now; and the pirate meme is one of the main ways that it has manifested.
I also don't think it's a coincidence that The Mandalorian came out last year, even though it wasn't under Venus in Gemini directly. The subject matter is related, though. Piracy, bounty hunting...anything which is about persuit or attraction via movement, and which also largely happens outside of conventional systems of morality. The purpose of ethical systems is to restrict, and Mercury is very much about a LACK of restriction, so criminality is a major part of it. It's not usually about genuine amorality though; mischief is the word.
