Very nice Truck, these Bull and Brick Nose Fords are fastly becoming the most truck build because they are the last of the affordable Classic trucks. I;m not a Ford guy but my next project is going to one of these trucks.
Oh absolutely, one of the last years of the classic truck designs. I definitely recommend getting one as soon as possible because i'm sure their values are going to skyrocket soon.
This truck reminds me of my dad’s 1985 F150 XL extended cab. Same color. 2WD. It did have power windows. 302. I think the only things yours had that’s different than his didn’t are EFI and the seats in your truck is nicer. I miss that truck so much and it was the reason I bought an 86 F350 XL that I’m going bring back to life.
Very nice truck ! That was a steal for what you paid for it, take your time with it that will be a very nice truck, the motor sounds super strong and healthy from that short time you had it running have to get it up to temp and make sure the head gaskets and all are good which they most likely are, that surge in the idle is most likely the computer relearing the idle if the battery was disconnected, also could be bad gas, just so you know to your truck has 3 fuel pumps in it and 2 fuel filters i would definitely change the filters out and the air cleaner, and inside of the air filter box there will be another little filter that is a breather for the pcv valve it vents through the air box, that will most likely need replaced also, keep us up to date with more videos ! Best of luck, any questions feel free to reach out to me. Btw the bullnose fords are my favorite my dad had one growing up with the same motor so im pretty familiar with them.
Thank you for the feedback, a few days ago I found some ripped vacuum lines which may be why it doesn’t like to run smooth, or at all haha. I’ll definitely have to go through this truck and clean all the filters I’m sure they’re all pretty nasty. Thanks!
I had an 86 Bronco with same set up ran exactly like that,,all the time

It’s beautiful
solid truck! Probobly wont take much to get it going well
Gonna change the oil, spark plugs, coils, radiator flush, brakes, and hopefully that'll do it
Simple lift some bigger tires go through the brakes, exhaust and cooling system should be good
