What does Al-Quddus mean?
Al-Quddus has 2 meanings in dictionary. One of them is cleanliness the other is abundance.
For example, Arabics call a bowl with which they are cleaning themselves up by filling water in it ''Qades'' Because they are cleaning themselves up with it, They are using the word ''Qades'' coming from the root Quddus.
And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds. (21/Anbiyâ, 71)
What is the name of this land? We call it Baytu'l Makdis,
O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you (Mukaddas)!
So, When we say Quddus, 2 meanings will come to our minds:
One of them is cleanliness. What do we mean by cleanliness, brothers? Allah is free from all deficiencies that would come to person's mind.
What do we mean by abundance? When Allah cleans something, meanly, when his name Quddus appear there, as Allah is clean, Allah creates abundance there.
Throughout History, the biggest issue between Muwahhids and Mushriqs, Prophets and Tribes, was that They attributed any imperfection to Allah. Prophets and Muwahhids tried to prove that Allah is Quddus.
And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." You have done an atrocious thing. The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open (19/Maryam, 89) and the mountains collapse in devastation (19/Maryam, 90)
This World which Allah created, in which we live knows Allah so well that The heavens almost break from above them so, this makes heavens very angry. This must make Muwahhids angry in the same way as well .
Allah is free from deficiencies:
The effort of someone who tries to save himself from sins, with ihlas:
He must be purified from sins to get the content of Allah. Because he thinks that Allah who is clean wants a clean deed.
Believing that when leaving something for Allah, Allah will give him a better one:
One of the ways to attribute deficiency to Allah is the fact that he believes that Allah will leave him Alone when the person leaves a very good thing for Allah, or something that is useful to him.
Allah is clean and accepts clean deeds
Brothers, Allah, Al- Quddus, wants to clean his servants as he is clean. and he wants his servants to present their deeds that they present to their lord after they clean it. Now look, When Allah calls to family of prophet:
''Allah intends only to remove from you the impurity [of sin] O people of the [Prophet's] household, and to purify you with [extensive] purification. (33/Ahzâb, 33)
Du'a with Al-Quddus Name:
'O Lord, clean our mind, heart faith, responsibilities towards brothers and all deeds we have done, with your name Al-Quddus and make them perfect.
Makind Du'a with Al-Quddus is not enough, we have to clean our deeds and do our deeds with ikhlas.
