Kluke batch 8, Kluke toasted batch 2, JDBP rye 136.3 proof, middle west spirits pumpernickle rye store pick, Driftless Glen Cognac finished store pick, Nashville barrel company 6 year small batch, Hemingway rye cask strength group pick, EH taylor sib, and a JDBP 133 proof.
So, I met a BT exec last night at a tasting. Stagg is the same mashbill and same warehouse floors as Eagle Rare (lower floors than Buffalo Trace, higher than BTAC floors). It is 8-9 years typically, so 1-2 years younger than Eagle Rare and cask strength. All barrels are taster verified for appropriateness, but all tasters at BT work at 40 proof. But in a nutshell, Stagg is Eagle Rare, 1-2 years younger, and offered batch proof.
Guys, I believe the reason you are seeing more is that the Chinese market has crashed. I just got back from France and in both Bordeaux and Burgundy staff at the wineries told me that their sales are slumping, when I asked them about how their sales are going over there. So, I believe this might be a result of you seeing more good bourbons. I hope this spreads to the rest of the country at well.
I think that the bourbon craze in the U.S. is crashing. We all have too much on our shelves, will take years to drink. Also, just too many random products flooding the market at ridiculous prices.
Nice haul!! For March I scored a 1792 Full Proof, Kings County Single Barrel 128.8 proof, James E Pepper Barrel Proof decanter series, Knob Creek 12, Barrel Bourbon Batch 35 and their Foundation, Weller Special Reserve, and Clyde Mays Special Reserve 5-Year.
No joke, missouri might get one case a month for the state, it's nearly impossible to get it here to the point I'll be in Kentucky in july and plan in buying at least 2 bottles because it's so plentiful there
I am going to Louisville this Sunday to trade for a M10! I am also going to get to the distillery a couple hours early so hopefully I will get something good!
I got EH Taylor small batch, 2 Blantons, Eagle Rare, 2 EH Taylor single barrel. Plus I am going to make a trade for M10 and hopefully scoring something at the michters distillery
I disagree, I think there is a big difference between the Michters 23A batches and other batches that year. I’ve been able to taste several different A batches and they all trump my 23E batch and it’s honestly not even close.
Wondering what you are going to do with these many bottles in a month... I really doubt these are for drinking. More and more, I believe you got these by sponsorship and free, and this channel becomes a whiskey commercial channel.
I wish we were able to get more sponsorships lol. We tell in videos when we have had product sent to us if it is either by Barrel, Bardstown Jack Daniel's etc. But if we don't say that then it was either bought or maybe traded for. But as of right now we have no such deal in place and none in the future.
I believe the James E Pepper decanter is a bourbon, not a rye.
Yes my mistake saying if it was a bourbon.
