God.... just heavenly🙏...these old time arrangements take me back a bit before my time, but to what seems like a deeply secure, relaxed, grounded, supportive time before the whirlwind of this crazy, frenetic modern world was unleashed. Alas, even back then in the 30s there was horrible suffering and strife with world war II raging, i know. Yet, the comparative simplicity and stability of home, society and community in the good old U.S.A. seems like it was so full, rich and supportive....as compared to the usual frenetic, chaotic dysfunction of family and societal life today. Thank you for your talent and excellent work of finding, compiling, and sharing these absolutely wonderful selections!! Priceless....
Whoever you are, thank you for your honesty. There were things back then that in themselves are priceless. I think my ancestors grew up healthier for not as much pollution in food, it water, in everything. And I agree about the dysfunction of families: people back then did not grow up in the chaotic world of today. Their choice of music in itself is proof that their minds were more pure. But I have hope for the future. Thank you for these touching songs.

I love these vintage carols that are so scarce and seldom heard today, when all you hear is 'Jingle' and other 'Bells' in a zillion similar versions. I so very much long for more authenticity. Thank you so much for bringing back that spiritual atmosphere during this unforgettable hour of gems.

Larry, I hope the reference to the Grinch isn't a bad thing. I hope you and yours are in good health and all is well with you. I hadn't heard from you much and was concerned that something serious had happened. I have had a Grinch of a year as well. I had to slow down on my posts due to my neck problem reoccurring after being trouble free for almost 11 years. I am looking at doing another neck surgery in 2020 but exploring options. They wanted to do it last week but I postponed it until after the holidays. I also want to explore my options, as this affects my life in so many ways. Merry Christmas Larry! 🎄🍬❄😇

I couldn’t agree with you more. Maybe it’s the surface noise or because life was more Chrstian back then 🎅🏾🛷.
@@mikewiebers8814 The shellac surface of 78's causes this effect on the recordings. It's one of the reasons they went later to using vinyl for records as it reduced the surface noise. I remove the clicks and pops and try to tweak these a bit without losing the high end too much. I have found over the years their is a trade off between noise removal and sound quality.
