When I feel bad, because my expectations were not fulfillled, I, with enough money to live decently, free, in a country (Portugal), that is democratic, and mostly catholic-it has the five wounds of Christ in our flag, and Our Lady of Fátima, I remenber Cardinal Van Thuan, always kind with his guards… how spoiled are we living in This materialistic World…we are becoming egotistic spoiled children! We need ressurection everyday of our lives!
Rather than the idea that God allows or gives us suffering, I see suffering as a part of life and God carrying us through it....i cannot grasp that God "sends" it .
