And how the you woman said something similar to what was in the lemonade response video. And how it became obvious that she worked at the lemonade research facility. And how the murderer's motivation was finding the perfect lemonade, something lemonade facilities would be interested in. And the annoyed look the young woman gave the camera when describing how Chuck would ask her to taste his lemonade. Wait she killed him
God this is SO GOOD. The neighbor's look to the camera at the end, and how she uses the same verbiage as the corporate response, and her witness testimony being the basis of the suicide theory, *chef's kiss* BRILLIANT! This video tells a whole story!
Some of the Books behind the neighbor: “Poisoner in Chief”; “The Devil’s Chessboard”; “Acid Dreams”; “Phenomena”; “The Chemistry of Alchemy”; “Legacy of Ashes”
The editor: “To most people, except for me, this mystery remains unsolved.... Just an editor, huh? I showed Alan. I knew I could be a detective but did he believe me? No.”
I was 100% about to google this because I forgot it was a sketch. You deserve every bit of praise, congrats on the award. Kelly totally killed Chuck don’t @ me
Even the books behind your mom speak early 2000s and this style so much. A book on eBay business and a manual for the iPod? You can’t get a closer depiction of that era than that. Excellent work, love it and can’t wait for more.
The acting and editing make this feel so authentic. And the writing is amazing, especially with how things line up near the end. The attention to detail is genius.
Dude this is so accurate and on point to these types of documentaries. Out of the all the submissions I’ve seen so far this is the best one for sure. EDIT: omg I didn’t even realize the neighbor was the killer! The intricate clues revealing the mystery was a nice touch.
Kelly: "I'll miss him coming down the hall with a pitcher of lemonade asking me to try his newest innovation". ... later, Chuck mom said that the last few pages of his lemonade journal were missing. So, after killing Chuck, Kelly torn Chuck's last few pages (maybe containing the perfect lemon recipe).
Gotta say top props to the editing. There's lots of little touches even outside of the mystery that really sell this video. The ending of the commercial at the beginning, the elect screen at the end, the little bit of distortion at the bottom of the screen. The font of the letters even. Most excellently played
Definitely the best use of spicy meat-a ball-a and possably the best suggestion, I thought nothing was better than the one I just watched and now think the same about this one.
The Facts: Setting things straight - The threats were written in comic sans. The Lemonade Companies response was also in comic sans. Below the surface - Kelly, Chuck's neighbour, was echoing the lemon companies as her final words were copied, word for word mind you, from the Lemon Companies response letter. Digging deeper - Kelly has several books in the background about mad science and evil scientist stuff - This could be a hint that she used these books to poison the lemons Chuck would bring her, as Kelly said Chuck would come over and bring lemons. The poisoned lemon theory for Kelly being evil is further supported by Kelly's dog refusing the lemons... dogs have great senses... did the dog know about the poison within the lemons? All we know for sure is that this case remains... 𝚄𝚗𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚟𝚎𝚍 (Thank you to the fellow commentators for some of that info, such as the background books and dog hint.)
You know you're watching a good production when you forget how long it is, this legit felt shorter than any other submissions. So well done, amazing attention to detail, not at all surprised you own, and shocked you did this in 24 hours.
I came here looking for stupid, funny videos, but this has me hooked on a made-up mystery in less than 8 minutes, you are amazing at what you do, I loved every moment of this :)
This is so well made omg!!! Great job! Genuinely interesting and so well written as well! And your mom's acting? AMAZING :3 Person playing the policeman also 10/10 ^^
My theory: chuck was murdered by a hitman hired by the big lemonade company, since the death threat was in comic sans and so was the response letter. Besides this, the company had multiple reasons to kill him: 1: He had precious recipes that he did not share publically, 2: he was developing the lemonade faster than the company could, thus being a competitor. Now who was this hitman, you ask? It was his roommate, Kelly. Since she had easy access to everything; chuck's residence, chuck himself, and his journal (of which the last few pages and thus recipes were missing, most likely stolen to be used by the big company.)
BRO I WATCHED THE VIDEO AND WAS LIKE, "oh that's funny" but NO, THERE'S AN ACTUAL SECRET PLOT. Someone please spoil it all for me, my pea brain cant do it
Yo, this was amazing! and what's even cooler is that at the time of this comment this guy had liked nearly all the posts and commented on a few as well. This man is too good for RUclips.
it's captivating, enthralling, engaging and coupled with a tinge of ominousness. the attention to detail and subtle writing is also not to be flown under the radar.
This video is an actual masterpiece. I've watched so many crime shows growing up since my mum was obsessed with them and this was a prefect depiction of what these shows are like. And omg the actors are amazing as well it just so perfect 😭🙌 i literally can't even the way you did this was too perfect 😭😂👏🙌
Your parents killed it on the acting! All of you did!! This was so good and seemed like a legit unsolved murder show!! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉 Great Job!!! Seriously!!!
oh my god....this is amazing...i’ve never seen anything like it. i’ve never seen anything capture the essence of a true-crime show so well, i’ve never seen such acting this good, i’ve never seen such dedicated scenes and props...this is amazing..
0:50 this is a lemonade place. Notice the jar off to the side that clearly looks like one for lemonade and not just for holding water fancily. Since there have been many theories about the neighbor being the murderer (which I agree with) I would like to say that the neighbor took his notes and gave it to the corporation in which she was working.
Literally had to rewind towards the end to pick up on certain stuff. Genius. Perfect. Accurate. Give us season 2
first
Thanks for the input loser
Shut up jack
oh god
joe
"We never even got the meatballs" I DIED
Damnit you spoiled the humor
@@basicallysnake Thought you said tumor
@@biggaylol5438 LMAO this made me laugh too. Gotta love the internet sometimes.
So did chuck
I like how one of the harassing notes was written in comic sans and so was the lemonade corporation response letter.
I don't think that was a coincidence
And how the you woman said something similar to what was in the lemonade response video. And how it became obvious that she worked at the lemonade research facility. And how the murderer's motivation was finding the perfect lemonade, something lemonade facilities would be interested in. And the annoyed look the young woman gave the camera when describing how Chuck would ask her to taste his lemonade.
Wait she killed him
OH MY GOD
I was just going to say that lol it's a nice little detail
Stupid spoiler comment
“i didn’t join the force to be a pawn of big lemonade” brilliant
"He turned himself into a lemon. Funniest shit I've ever seen."
God this is SO GOOD. The neighbor's look to the camera at the end, and how she uses the same verbiage as the corporate response, and her witness testimony being the basis of the suicide theory, *chef's kiss* BRILLIANT! This video tells a whole story!
whoever plays your mom was so damn good
that's my actual mom!

Jeez you guys could appear on the Onion

Never thought I'd ever say "Aha! Comic Sans!" but here we are
Some of the Books behind the neighbor: “Poisoner in Chief”; “The Devil’s Chessboard”; “Acid Dreams”; “Phenomena”; “The Chemistry of Alchemy”; “Legacy of Ashes”
Excellent touches
Also a book on Stalin, who some claim died as a result of poisoning.
Does anyone else think the neighbor looks off camera like she's being coached at the end?
So much going on in this video, I love it.
I hoped I wasn't the only one who caught that. The phrasing she used was just slightly altered from the shady official statement
@@LightjetPilot not to mention the statement was written in comic sans, the font also used for one of the death threats
she sounded too much like the company's response. She's the only one who could have tasted the lemonade. I'm calling it
We also need to consider the fact that all of the books behind her have a "mad scientis" connotation.
Soon in a few years this will be an internet classic
Already is
Bro that ending... Imagine being the editor of the documentary and you're the one that pieces it together.
The editor: “To most people, except for me, this mystery remains unsolved.... Just an editor, huh? I showed Alan. I knew I could be a detective but did he believe me? No.”
The mom is an incredible actress. 🏆
Crime documentaries be like :
When life gave him lemons , he made lemonades .........Until he didn't.
I dont care if I'm putting a target on my back, CHUCK DIDNT KILL HIMSELF
be careful who you say that to. you never know who's working for them.
I was 100% about to google this because I forgot it was a sketch. You deserve every bit of praise, congrats on the award.
Kelly totally killed Chuck don’t @ me
Can I @ you if I agree?
Even the books behind your mom speak early 2000s and this style so much.
A book on eBay business and a manual for the iPod? You can’t get a closer depiction of that era than that.
Excellent work, love it and can’t wait for more.
If 2 pages of his lemonade Journal was ripped and if the lemonade companies killed him, does that mean he found the perfect lemonade?
Here's a clue: look for details, and you'll get rewarded.
he either got it or just got too close. and they made sure he didnt get any closer
I bet he did and that's why they killed him. At least he got the taste of the perfect lemonade before he was killed rip
That the home footage of chuck geniunely looks like early 2000s home camcorder really sells it. So funny
The acting and editing make this feel so authentic. And the writing is amazing, especially with how things line up near the end. The attention to detail is genius.
There is no need for this to be better than 99% of crime shows
He turned himself into a lemon. Funniest shit I've ever seen.
I lost it at “we didn’t even get the meatballs”
this is genuinely fantastic omg, netflix wishes they could make this
Give it a year or so, Netflix will ask for the rights to adapt this.
American Vandal is an amazing mockumentary with a similar vibe
Dude this is so accurate and on point to these types of documentaries. Out of the all the submissions I’ve seen so far this is the best one for sure.
EDIT: omg I didn’t even realize the neighbor was the killer! The intricate clues revealing the mystery was a nice touch.
I don't see enough comments mentioning the fact that lemonade company response was in comic sans.
“These sour delights have sour ends.” Funny how according to the autopsy report, there were lemons near or inside of his butt
Get it? Sour ends
This is the last thing I expected when he announced the contest. It works regardless. Definitely a stand-out submission!
“We never even got the meatballs” absolute class
Kelly: "I'll miss him coming down the hall with a pitcher of lemonade asking me to try his newest innovation".
... later, Chuck mom said that the last few pages of his lemonade journal were missing.
So, after killing Chuck, Kelly torn Chuck's last few pages (maybe containing the perfect lemon recipe).
🤔🤔🤔
Kelly waited for the day he did find the perfect lemonade, and was super eager to share his results. Then she struck, and took the recipe.
Gotta say top props to the editing. There's lots of little touches even outside of the mystery that really sell this video. That like to dislike ratio is a spicy meataballa.
All three lemonade corporations and the murderer disliked the video.
