You can lovely, just make sure all holes that could be at the seams are sealed. You may have to add extra around the top of the cup if it's not level. I did one and it turned out ok. I bet Ayesha will make a stunner x

Hi, great video. Some people are using the resin to stick the two half’s of the mold together. Tried both ways and they both work great. Also this video made it onto Sophie and toffees website blog. Congrats.
I’ve had a world of a time with the cup mold as well. Then I wanted it to have “iced coffee” inside for my SO that has to have some everyday and it’s so hard to make brown colored resin! It’s a bit weird looking. Lol. But I’ll keep trying as well. Yours turned out great!
Nice one managing to produce a lovely cup. It's really lovely with the sakura charm on top. I got there in the end but I remove the middle last after trimming the excess off. I'm not feeling the love with my molds this month. But hey, that's how the cookie crumbles. Here's to the next box.....lots of love and hope today is a good one x

I don't think my mind set has been great for concentration recently so that will have added to it.....hence the distractions needed atm. My coffin mold came today......finally! So that's already got epoxy in curing 😉 Oh and I saw the pusheen Mac in the flesh today!! It's gorgeous! I completely forgot (altho how I could I don't know) Jaks gorgeous godaughter is a pastel girl just like you! She's at uni so we don't see her until she comes home. So I was wondering are you using tags when you post? Cuz if your not you are missing out on a TON of views! But if your getting over 200 views with no tags? Well that is a feat in itself lol! 😋 I think ur channel could blow up quick cuz so many new people got into resin this year, tutorials have always been my most requested videos & you got that down so ur good to go girl! I had to hold it by hand since the rubberband would cause the bottom to open an the cup to press against the center piece. Took entirely too many tries to get a large one lol. Thank goodness for protective gloves.
Girl I'm so glad the rubber band method worked for you. I tried a few times using a rubber band and the damn thing would not work for me. Love love love what you did with the sakura bezel! 😍 I really hope we have an easier time with next month's box. 🤞 I really don't want to waste another bottle of resin...🤦♀️

You're most welcome! Yes the same principle will apply for those tiny Starbucks cups! Wish you the best! As for wattage I'm not sure but seeing as you can use the sun to cure it I'm sure you'll be ok!
What do you use to file your pieces? I have so many that I should file but no one ever explains how to sand/file pieces and i don’t want to mess any up. That would actually be a really great how to video too!
You know I don't often have to file mine but I tend to use a dremel tool to do it... I don't really know much about the sanding process, I'm still learning that!!

I mailed them about mine! I think some of the molds didn't come out right.. those little holes around it don't line up with the other side there for all my resin leaks out weather I use a banding system or not..

Personally I wouldn't have put this in the Elves Box because a lot of beginners get this. And it stumped A LOT of us.. Even those who are more experienced. But they tried something new.. I'm trying resin for the first time tomorrow! How do you clean your tools/the brushes? Does resin ruin them? I mean, I see you're using the UV stuff and you might not have tried the stuff that just air-cures, but I'd love any advice
I tried the banding system but my resin leaked out the bottom of the mold 😣😣... mines really broke one of the corners doesn't close at all.. it has a raised bump but not to stick it into if that makes sense lol
I'm worried about your skin. The UV light can cause harm at such a close range. My light came with a warning. 😘 Be safe, beautiful! Maybe gloves will protect your hands. I love your style!
Oh thank you! Thing is it's the same kind of lamp I'd use doing my nails, so it's fine I think! I do need to wear gloves more to be honest.. I always forget! 😒😂

you can get a cheaper dremel at harbor freights for $10 to sand down the edges.

Omg I’ve had major issues!! All of mine are uneven, full of bubbles or super thin on one side. I gave up and threw the mold is my box! Drove me crazy!

Hello! I use silicone tools typically so they are easier to wipe off with a baby wipe! Sometimes I use a touch of rubbing alcohol too. Good luck!

That mould is ridiculous, they didn’t need to do that they could have made the cup part 1 mould instead of 2.
