I decorate with cross stitch pumpkins and faux pumpkins- when my granddaughter isn’t decorating with them! We have gone to a local pumpkin farm before. Our small town hangs the plastic pumpkin buckets from the trees on Main Street every October! Everyone loves it! #6,7,11.
Here’s my pumpkin story: Every time I put one or more out on the porch, some neighborhood hooligan comes in the middle of the night and smashes them in the street so….I haven’t put pumpkins out for several years. I heard that there's a shortage on pumpkins this year so the prices are going up. I live in Arizona originally from Michigan. Don't decorate with pumpkins on the porch here because they rot in the heat and sun very quickly.😢 #11

Great visiting with you this morning. One year a friend grew a giant Atlantic pumpkin for a contest and won. He then gave it to use for my kids. We carved it up and my youngest could fit inside it! But darn no photos!!! Last year my husband and I made papier-mâché pumpkin heads to surprize the kids. We will be using them again this year as a decoration. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11. We go to a local farm, Gordon’s Farms, every fall and get pumpkins for carving and for decorating. They also sell locally pressed apple cider and we pick up a couple gallons to take home and spice. One of our favorite fall traditions!
I usually get pumpkins from the fruit/vegetable stand. When the summer season is over they plant pumpkins and sell them. It’s cute, they usually have a couple activities setup for the younger kids and wagons etc. 1,5,6,11
I love to decorate for fall and use both real and fake pumpkins. Last year I went to a local orchard to get apples and then took a wonderful walk around their huge pumpkin and sunflower fields. I wanted to buy all of it! Another awesome place I’ve bought pumpkins from is the produce auction. There are so many rows full of produce and flowers. I rarely decorated while working, except maybe a few little pumpkins. Since retiring, I decorate more and buy from where I find and they look good and are not too expenseive.
I love to decorate with pumpkins, inside and outside the house. My office also has a pumpkin decorating contest and we go all out to be the most creative. One year we all took shifts hot gluing candy corn to this huge pumpkin to make it look like a blow fish. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11.

Hi Priscilla & Chelsea! I buy pumpkins, all different kinds, and decorate the interior of my home with them. I buy them from the Amish farmers in Lancaster, PA, who have extremely reasonable prices. During the winter we cut them up and feed them to the deer who frequent our property. The pumpkins are nutritious for them and helps keep them fed in the cold months when food is scarce. They love the seeds! We also have a sheep farm down the road who also appreciate getting some pumpkin treats. I miss seeing Cash in the videos but enjoy seeing him on Instagram. He is so adorable and I hope he enjoys soccer. 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11

I just grow pie pumpkins in my garden. After I pick them, they get to stand outside curing and add color to my deck. It's low scale, but workable for me. I love seeing everyone else's grand pumpkin decorating. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11

Some years I grow pumpkins myself, but I always go to my local pumpkin farm. They were featured by Martha Stewart a couple of years ago, so they’ve gotten really busy. I like the Casper white ones and the Cinderella variety too.

1,2,3,4,7,11 My pumpkin story...when I lived in New England I decorated with freshly picked pumpkins, gourds, and all the colorful leaves I wanted. But now that I live in Florida I do very little decorating for fall I only have a few cross stitch finishes that I put out and a couple candles. I know I miss the ability to just go to a farm and pick what you want and even a farm stand. Not much down here in my area. Have a safe/fun trip Priscilla see you next week!!!!!
I mostly use fake pumpkins after finding a rotten one too many times! I do buy one small enough to fit in the oven. I clean it out and stuff it with a ground beef mixture and bake it! My husband loves it! 1,2,7,11

The best part of my Saturday morning coffee time is spending it with both of you and having fun listening to your family fun and trips to apple picking orchards, etc. My kids and grandkids are grown and out on their own so I cherish the memories of when they were small and we did family outings with them. Now I am a great grandmother of three beautiful little boys from my oldest granddaughter and husband. I get to see them in Facebook since they live in Texas. Have fun finding all the right size pumpkins this next week. Your garden will look lovely all decorated for Fall. As for whether I decorate with real pumpkins, no I prefer decorating inside with Hobby Lobby pumpkins in tier trays full of stitching projects. We buy from a store for porch and actually one local business has a contest where you decorate pumpkins and they choose winners for prizes. We did a Covid pumpkin 2 years ago with mask, winter hat with various sick items in brim of hat and won. 1,2,3,4,5,67,9,11
I am love to decorate with the new white & aqua pumpkins they have out these days. I have 2 threw pillows with those colored pumpkins on them that I decorate with, some white pumpkins going down the steps of my deck also. We go pick out our pumpkins at a farm market, which also has apples, cider, and great donuts they make there. They are in huge crates and set up in displays outside. They also have mums and a sunflower field! My daughters and grandkids make an afternoon of it every fall. Such a fun tradition! 7
Our schools where I lived in Bothell,Wa would do field trips to pumpkin farms and part of it was a pumpkin for the kids, which worked out great. Now a days it costs 35.00 dollars a person just to enter and pumpkins are 25.00 each beyond that price 🤯 5, 6, 9, 11

As always thank you for the inspiration! When my girls were little I purchased the fake hollow pumpkins from Michaels. They aren’t styrofoam but some kind of material you could carve but not go all the way through. When you stick a battery candle inside the design is lit up from behind. He never messed with anything and walked around as if he was looking for somethjng. We made certain he had food and water. My pumpkin story is that I decorate with pumpkins, I stitch pumpkins and craft pumpkins, I've grown mini pumpkins, I've carved pumpkins, but never once have I baked or cooked with fresh pumpkin - always canned! Once in December a few years ago I threw some mini pumpkins in the compost bin but one apparently fell behind the bin because the next fall I had a massive crop of volunteer mini pumpkins. 2, 6, 7, 9, 11. I like your explanation of how you get so much done. Pumpkins are central to my Autumn decorating. I use decorative pumpkins in the house accompanied with little acorns, fall leaves and small gourds. I do put a few real pumpkins from the pumpkin patch on my front porch. The best part of autumn decorating is I start in September and it stays out until Thanksgiving, then I clean up for Christmas decorating. Last year, we went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was fun! But I did not buy a pumpkin. I usually do several faux pumpkins in my decorations. We do decorate with pumpkins but on a small scale - we have a planter in the front yard that we include pumpkins and mums in the fall. 1, 2, 5, 6, 11. You will love Michigan - when you come here you should do a side trip to Frankenmuth and check out Bronners - they have a HUGE Christmas village and nativity setup.

Great visiting with you this morning. One year a friend grew a giant Atlantic pumpkin for a contest and won. He then gave it to use for my kids. We carved it up and my youngest could fit inside it! But darn no photos!!! Last year my husband and I made papier-mâché pumpkin heads to surprize the kids. We will be using them again this year as a decoration. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11

1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11. We go to a local farm, Gordon’s Farms, every fall and get pumpkins for carving and for decorating. They also sell locally pressed apple cider and we pick up a couple gallons to take home and spice. One of our favorite fall traditions!
I usually get pumpkins from the fruit/vegetable stand. When the summer season is over they plant pumpkins and sell them. It’s cute, they usually have a couple activities setup for the younger kids and wagons etc.

I love to decorate for fall and use both real and fake pumpkins. Last year I went to a local orchard to get apples and then took a wonderful walk around their huge pumpkin and sunflower fields. I wanted to buy all of it! Another awesome place I’ve bought pumpkins from is the produce auction. There are so many rows full of produce and flowers. I rarely decorated while working, except maybe a few little pumpkins. Since retiring, I decorate more and buy from where I find and they look good and are not too expenseive.
I love to decorate with pumpkins, inside and outside the house. My office also has a pumpkin decorating contest and we go all out to be the most creative. One year we all took shifts hot gluing candy corn to this huge pumpkin to make it look like a blow fish. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11.

Hi Priscilla & Chelsea! I buy pumpkins, all different kinds, and decorate the interior of my home with them. I buy them from the Amish farmers in Lancaster, PA, who have extremely reasonable prices. During the winter we cut them up and feed them to the deer who frequent our property. The pumpkins are nutritious for them and helps keep them fed in the cold months when food is scarce. They love the seeds! We also have a sheep farm down the road who also appreciate getting some pumpkin treats. I miss seeing Cash in the videos but enjoy seeing him on Instagram. He is so adorable and I hope he enjoys soccer. 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11

I just grow pie pumpkins in my garden. After I pick them, they get to stand outside curing and add color to my deck. It's low scale, but workable for me. I love seeing everyone else's grand pumpkin decorating. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11
I love Autumn and decorating with pumpkins! I usually get pumpkins from a big box store. This year I'm also going to decorate with gourds that look like pumpkins but are different colors. Some years I grow pumpkins myself, but I always go to my local pumpkin farm. They were featured by Martha Stewart a couple of years ago, so they’ve gotten really busy. I like the Casper white ones and the Cinderella variety too.

1,2,3,4,7,11 My pumpkin story...when I lived in New England I decorated with freshly picked pumpkins, gourds, and all the colorful leaves I wanted. But now that I live in Florida I do very little decorating for fall I only have a few cross stitch finishes that I put out and a couple candles. I mostly use fake pumpkins after finding a rotten one too many times! I do buy one small enough to fit in the oven. I clean it out and stuff it with a ground beef mixture and bake it! My husband loves it! 1,2,7,11

The best part of my Saturday morning coffee time is spending it with both of you and having fun listening to your family fun and trips to apple picking orchards, etc. My kids and grandkids are grown and out on their own so I cherish the memories of when they were small and we did family outings with them. Now I am a great grandmother of three beautiful little boys from my oldest granddaughter and husband. I get to see them in Facebook since they live in Texas. Have fun finding all the right size pumpkins this next week. Your garden will look lovely all decorated for Fall. As for whether I decorate with real pumpkins, no I prefer decorating inside with Hobby Lobby pumpkins in tier trays full of stitching projects. Don’t usually go pumpkin picking but buy a pumpkin at the store. Went pumpkin picking when my grandson enjoyed it but he’s a teenager now and doesn’t want to carve pumpkins. I do decorate with pumpkins. Like nos. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,11.

I am love to decorate with the new white & aqua pumpkins they have out these days. I have 2 threw pillows with those colored pumpkins on them that I decorate with, some white pumpkins going down the steps of my deck also. We go pick out our pumpkins at a farm market, which also has apples, cider, and great donuts they make there. They are in huge crates and set up in displays outside. They also have mums and a sunflower field! My daughters and grandkids make an afternoon of it every fall. Such a fun tradition! 7

Our schools where I lived in Bothell,Wa would do field trips to pumpkin farms and part of it was a pumpkin for the kids, which worked out great. Now a days it costs 35.00 dollars a person just to enter and pumpkins are 25.00 each beyond that price 🤯 5, 6, 9, 11

As always thank you for the inspiration! When my girls were little I purchased the fake hollow pumpkins from Michaels. They aren’t styrofoam but some kind of material you could carve but not go all the way through. When you stick a battery candle inside the design is lit up from behind. My pumpkin story is that I decorate with pumpkins, I stitch pumpkins and craft pumpkins, I've grown mini pumpkins, I've carved pumpkins, but never once have I baked or cooked with fresh pumpkin - always canned! Once in December a few years ago I threw some mini pumpkins in the compost bin but one apparently fell behind the bin because the next fall I had a massive crop of volunteer mini pumpkins. 2, 6, 7, 9, 11. We go to a pumpkin farm, but the pumpkins are usually already picked and stacked to buy. The kiddos loved when we did find some pumpkin patches they could run through looking for the perfect pumpkins.

I like your explanation of how you get so much done. Pumpkins are central to my Autumn decorating. I use decorative pumpkins in the house accompanied with little acorns, fall leaves and small gourds. I do put a few real pumpkins from the pumpkin patch on my front porch. The best part of autumn decorating is I start in September and it stays out until Thanksgiving, then I clean up for Christmas decorating.

Last year, we went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. It was fun! But I did not buy a pumpkin. I usually do several faux pumpkins in my decorations. I did grow them a few years ago, and was even able to make pumpkin puree for bread and pies. I would like to grow them again next year. I would be interested in #'s 3,5,6,7,10, 11. Thanks so much!

We do decorate with pumpkins but on a small scale - we have a planter in the front yard that we include pumpkins and mums in the fall. 1, 2, 5, 6, 11. You will love Michigan - when you come here you should do a side trip to Frankenmuth and check out Bronners - they have a HUGE Christmas village and nativity setup.
