Time goes so quickly, and it only seems a short time since a young man called Semyon Oblomey (Семен Обломей) died. His death like many deaths in this disgusting war was deeply heartbreaking as he died on the 21st of June 2022 a few days after his 22nd birthday and 12 days after his marriage. His death angered and upset me so much that at 60, I volunteered as a driver taking aid from here in Poland to Ukraine. That's all I could do, if I was younger I would do more, but what sickens me to my living soul is what is happening in my country of Poland right now. I am deeply ashamed of my countrymen who dare ask that disgusting creature Putin to come and sort out our government and Brussels. Don't they remember what things were like here under the foot of Moscow, I will never allow that for my grandchildren, and I will fight till my dying breath to stop this happening. I made a visit to Kyiv six months ago and laid flowers on the grave of Semyon Oblomey and it reminded me of our national motto here in Poland since 1791, “Za wolność twoją i naszą”, "For your and our freedom", we fools in Poland sometimes forget what this means, Ukrainians don’t.
