Beautiful Becky. There's no other words. Your projects are so professional looking. The runuculas flowers from Walmart are gorgeous and I also bought them this past year. I used to quilt 30 years ago but this type of quilting is so much easier and what a stunning look. Your tool box is amazing with the paint inlay . Just such pretty very shabby chic DIY's. I Jeannine! I first painted it in Waverly Chalk Paint in the color Ink, which is black. After drying I applied Valspar Weathered Crackle Glaze, following instructions on the jar. Finally I applied Folk Art Home Decor Chalk Paint in the color Cascade. I love the chippy finish of this technique!

I love the paint inlays, unfortunately, they are kind of expensive (they actually went up when the spring release went out, big time bummer!) for what I charge in my area for my items in my booth....However, I HAVE found a decent & inexpensive way to mimic that look! I find a lot of of the one time use products (inlays, transfers, decoupage papers, etc) are still a little expensive for what I charge (we have literally ONE place that has booths that allows handmade and its in a part of the city that has more middle class working folks that like a great deal & I started my booth bc I wanted to offer 'the latest' decor in thrift flips at AFFORDABLE pricing esp where I volunteer at a thrift shop 1 day a wk and get items half off). Anyway, I ordered Rice Paper from Temu (Amazon has the same exact paper & most sellers on Amazon also sell on other apps, they just dont offer the super fast shipping, but its half the price!) in long sheets, then I go to either Etsy and find a digital artist or I go to websites that offer free digital art. Etsy has some amazing digital artists that also offers affordable print outs & gives you the licensure to use on items you're selling (MANY will sell their digital art in packs, some even sell in packs of 100 images that have a related theme or color! AND many of them have sales all the time!). OR I go to a place like Flickr where you can search Public Domain pictures that have no license (old images and license expired, or many just ask to credit the artist which you can do on your price tag!) or other places that offer free images (Graphics Fairy is a big one) that allow you to use the image in your work even if you sell the item (NOT the digital art itself). Then I simply set my printer to print out a LEGAL size paper, set ot No Border & make sure the image isnt cut off, lol, and print it out! That way you can use the image over or if you buy a pack of 100 prints with related themes, you can make SO many different items, but in the same color scheme or theme which works great if you are a shabby person or you like coastal items, etc.... I find it is so much more practical, affordable and helps YOU to keep your own costs down for your customers! It seems like buyers are also moving towards more practical, practically priced and environmentally friendly purchases these days. I also find that reusable products also fits in far better with "upcycled" or thrift flip items, plus makes it more affordable. I also find that if I am always looking for the next new release, I never go back to the last one and just keep moving towards the NEXT new item, lol, I cant tell you how many transfers I have that I havent even used....from releases put out 2 yrs ago =/ "trends" move so fast that it just seems more practical to make purchases I can use over and over & also that reflects in my pricing =)
