On the topic of relocating base: On pc you press "B" Then press "Z". It teleports your whole base to you. You will need more links if your base has a lot of buildings. We found that out last night playing.
For me, one of the best things about the game is that it's also an MMO. Like, I would still think it's super solid as a single/small party multiplayer game. But having all these mechanic and seeing other people and their bases is so cool!

Great Video! 1 Extra note I would add about food: Jerky and canned foods dont expire, glass bottled sodas also do not expire, these are easily craftable and items you wont have to worry on them expiring.
@@IndyMotoRider trust me i already know the info. Mushrooms and related buffs arent that great if you have a proper build together. Can use morel mushrooms for high tier food but theyre worthless otherwise. What you want is the high tier preserved meat to further up your acid drops from enemies, TRUST ME, you'll need that more than worrying about mushrooms.
For everyone saying stuff about the tos and the Eula they quite litterally made a twitter statement saying that it was wrong,in certain country’s it may require that information but not all,check it out

This is an excellent video! I've been playing by myself just learning as I go, and I've gotten to level 36, learned a lot, got a great base going with deviations, oil farms, bio generators etc, but even still obviously I don't know everything about the game. It's easy to miss little tid bits that makes the game a smoother experience. Videos like this are a great way to catch those things that you miss and find things that you would think would be common sense XD. LIke I didn't realize the passives every 5 levels were a random pool to choose from. I kinda want that one that reduces the log and ore weight! I did get the solar drill though, so that's pretty neat.

I have mot been able to turn that game on, reason being I haven't been able to turn this game off!! It's insane that this game is free to play. IM ABSOLUTELY LOVING EVERY MOMENT OF IT..
Here's a summary: A cycle/season lasts 6 weeks. At the end of that 6 weeks you lose all of your progress; weapons, gear, gathered resources and you start back at level 1 with a new map. You'll get to keep your blueprints that you can't do anything with until you gather the materials again. Have fun!
@@pluse697 Literally downloaded the game and learned this in the video and decided not to play. Maybe I'll consider it if they change that. I hate having to wipe and restart, especially that often... I play DayZ plenty but most of the servers are up for around 2 months and progressing isn't nearly as time consuming as this looks. They really should have two different game modes, ones that wipe and are maybe more competitive and those that don't and are far more chill.
Its amazing how a game of this level is free, It gives me the vibes of Dayz Mixed with Tom clancy;s breakpoint, and some other survival games, REally well done

I was off for the last two days, i downloaded it on Friday morning and started that night. And was off yesterday i have 17 hours in this game already only lvl 19. And i want more but im working lmfaoo. Great video ❤
Im almost 30 and its very hard for me to stay away past 10 pm usually. When I play this game though ill look at the clock, and its 2 or 3 am and i have to get up in a few hours for work 😢
What I like about the game that it seems to have no handicap system in it. You can change everything when you want like you want. Never eat raw meat by the way, very lethal 😂
@@cameronroberts4296most raw meat now is so clean it could be eaten raw. Normally wild animals are very filthy, and no not talking about their furs. I mean where they drink what they eat where they eat.
@UniverseGlider2 exactly. The first descendants gameplay is fun, but the monetization is typical of Nexon. They're beyond greedy and always have been. Sadly, even with competition, Nexon never usually competes for players and will bleed as much money out of the whales, then so twelve to twenty-four months will shut down the game and servers, then move on to their next grift. The first descendant has potential, but the hyper monetization and it being Nexon will almost guarantee they'll not budge from their greed and scumbaggery.

Absolutely dumpstering hordes of enemies with a team doing missions that felt similar to Strikes in Destiny. But everything else. The battle pass. The descendant prices. Having to wait real time for research?! Come on now. I honestly wish it was a paid game with cosmetic only micro transactions like Diablo 4 or Destiny 2 (Even though it’s F2P now). So idk. Just imagine how fun it will be when the season ends and you lose all your progress except blueprints you can't do anything with until you've re-gathered the resources, from scratch.
I play games like poe, rust, they all reset, I see the reset as a refreshing thing and motivating to beat my last playstyle and do better, just like some few like replay single player games and do better etc same shiet basically @@IndyMotoRider
Watched the whole thing. You make the best guides on RUclips!! One more thing that should have been covered in this video is how to upgrade your blueprints to higher stars. Each blueprint starts out as 1 star out of x, where x depends on the rarity. You can then use blueprint fragments to upgrade the blueprint to the second star for increased damage or health, and so on.
Another way to put stuff on your hotbars. Is to mouse hover over the item and push the key you want it to be hot keyed too. This also works for many other games on the market.
This is my favorite little detail. I haven't felt pressured to buy microtransactions. I feel like I might do it just to support this type of monetization.

Haven't even downloaded the game but I was definitely curious about it, then I clicked on your 1h video and watched it completely and I must say, I'm downloading it tonight.
The mystical crate is easy to find as it glows red. The weapon and gear crates takes me hours if im alone and minutes if not hours as well with friends.
A little life hack is that if you get the little bot that mines for you, he can get different resources than what you can find in that zone, I still have the base in the starting area but he finds tin and iron so for now I don’t even need to move since I built an army of those, I have like 6 of them. But unfortunately now I need refined parts and fireproof plastic to craft 4 wheel vehicles/upgrade the bike and to start using electricity so tomorrow I’ll go explore the new zone even though I’m not leveled up enough (I’m less than level 20 and that zone is around 25)

There are Morphic storage crates aka "mimics" ... You won't ever find them in Rosetta areas will 100% run into them in monster areas. I have also run into like 1 or 2 in vulture areas that have monsters around them. If you aim at the storage create and your aim marker turns red it is a mimic if it stays white it is safe. They are immune until they pop out but run up then back away quick to avoid getting hit. They take a moment to pop out.
I have a large fish that is a melee weapon...does great damage but costs sanity when I use it. I also fought a giant disco ball at an outdoor rave. This game is wild!
The ingame tutorial is a bit infodumpy without giving exercises to let you learn these things, thanks for making a clear and concise breakdown with all the visual examples.

Have you played one in which you lose all your gear/weapons and resources every 6 weeks like you suffered a perma-death and the map is wiped clean? Let me know how cool that is!
That’s not a “Backwards K” or an “X” in the blueprint menu my guy, it’s a puzzle piece. You’re finding blueprint fragments piece by piece until you have enough to fuse them together to make a full blueprint. ALSO, if you get more fragments than needed to create a blueprint, you can use the excess fragments to UPGRADE the blueprint. (That’s what those little diamond shapes are for under tier level for each weapon in the gear menu.) In addition to leveling up the weapon/gear tiers, and calibrating them, you can also upgrade the blueprints themselves before even crafting anything to improve your gear.

I'm hooked, playing with a friend makes it even better. Good tips here. I'm having horrible lag at times, no other games have anything like it. It might be my internet sure, but again playing any other game I'm okay. Usually happens in boss areas with my friend so idk what's up.
My only complaint is all the visual spoilers. You reveil what future boss fights will look like and it kinda ruins it for people that want to see it for the first time when they get there. Other than that I really love the way you take it slow and explain thing very clearly. Thank you for this video!

This is the first F2P game that I immediately dumped money into. I love everything about this game and I felt the deserved it. Plus some nice cosmetics are available!
Looks like A cool game that I will probably not play. Not for lack of trying. My first experinace with this game was not being able to get into the game after 2 hour worth of downloading and patching. Once that was done I was presented with the servers. So I choose low population and can you guess what happened? it said that server was full then recomended a medium population server and can you then guess what happened? That server was full also. So I tried a differnt low population server and the same tihng happend. I repeated this process about 10x before saying "Oh Well" and uninstalling it and removing it from my steam account. For all those that where are able to play the game and enjoy it I say good for you. Sadly it was not in the cards for me.
Try again brother i swear its worth it this might jus be a fortnite save the world killer among other game elements i hope you give it a go at least once more to set ya roots
Those that are complaining about privacy. If you are under the age of 50 all your data is already out there for the most part you have been on the net your whole lives and giving it out willy nilly. Every thing collects your data now, best thing you can do it get an app that secures you and watches for leaks like guardio and something like aura to wipe it from certain databases. That is the extent on what you can do. Secondly most of you complaining probably didn't even read it and don't know what you are talking about you are parroting someone you heard. Think for yourselves, learn to protect yourselves on the net and you will be okay.

You don't need to place a camp to teleport back to your base, you can do so anywhere in the open world on a 10min cooldown

I have also run into like 1 or 2 in vulture areas that have monsters around them. If you aim at the storage create and your aim marker turns red it is a mimic if it stays white it is safe. They are immune until they pop out but run up then back away quick to avoid getting hit. They take a moment to pop out.
You can also find/make unique armor and can only have 1 unique equipped at a time. It’s like the exotics from destiny 2

That first boss i killed with a pistol and crossbow and then started to melee. Legit the first quest didnt realize it was seperate.
I have a large fish that is a melee weapon...does great damage but costs sanity when I use it. I also fought a giant disco ball at an outdoor rave.

This is the best open world survival MMO I have ever played.

6 weeks is maybe too often, but yeah I love seasonal mechanics in games and wipes to keep things fresh.

That’s not a “Backwards K” or an “X” in the blueprint menu my guy, it’s a puzzle piece. You’re finding blueprint fragments piece by piece until you have enough to fuse them together to make a full blueprint.
ALSO, if you get more fragments than needed to create a blueprint, you can use the excess fragments to UPGRADE the blueprint. (That’s what those little diamond shapes are for under tier level for each weapon in the gear menu.) In addition to leveling up the weapon/gear tiers, and calibrating them, you can also upgrade the blueprints themselves before even crafting anything to improve your gear.

I'm having horrible lag at times, no other games have anything like it. It might be my internet sure, but again playing any other game I'm okay. Usually happens in boss areas with my friend so idk what's up.
If you see a big torch on the floor pick it up and it them on mobs, it kills them fast. Also use them on a boss it takes a chuck of the HP off them.

Sometimes it hits the rocks normally but from time to time it snorts some of that white stuff and goes at it at maximum overdrive 😂

My only complaint is all the visual spoilers. You reveil what future boss fights will look like and it kinda ruins it for people that want to see it for the first time when they get there. Looks like A cool game that I will probably not play. Not for lack of trying. My first experinace with this game was not being able to get into the game after 2 hour worth of downloading and patching. Once that was done I was presented with the servers. So I choose low population and can you guess what happened? it said that server was full then recomended a medium population server and can you then guess what happened? That server was full also. So I tried a differnt low population server and the same tihng happend. I repeated this process about 10x before saying "Oh Well" and uninstalling it and removing it from my steam account. For all those that where are able to play the game and enjoy it I say good for you. Sadly it was not in the cards for me.
Try again brother i swear its worth it this might jus be a fortnite save the world killer among other game elements i hope you give it a go at least once more to set ya roots

Those that are complaining about privacy. If you are under the age of 50 all your data is already out there for the most part you have been on the net your whole lives and giving it out willy nilly. Every thing collects your data now, best thing you can do it get an app that secures you and watches for leaks like guardio and something like aura to wipe it from certain databases. That is the extent on what you can do. Secondly most of you complaining probably didn't even read it and don't know what you are talking about you are parroting someone you heard. Think for yourselves, learn to protect yourselves on the net and you will be okay.
