Breaking Bars. Massive crash on new jump track in Rotorua.

- The Dad's Army have travelled down to Rotorua with plans to hit up the new mountain bike jumps on Corridor in Rotorua's mountain bike park.
All starts off well until Graham goes huge on one of the mtb jumps and has a massive crash. He ends up snapping his Renthal bars but gets up uninjured.
We then have to try to find new bars before morning. Luckily the guy's at Mountain bike Rotorua help us out with some new Deity bars ready for day two.

@@bestdayevermtb2 They don’t bake them. Bought from a bakery in Rotorua every other day I believe. I was a tourist.... so don’t take my word for it.
The guy at the shop is the best and always helps me out for free with my bike

I have been riding a budget full susser acoustic bike, but just paid for a new Trek Rail and am piking it up at the end of the week.

Small world, I just realised that Graham is the same Graham that I did warm up laps with him and his son at Queenstown bike park in December.
Good to see he walked away unscathed.

Graham usually does read the comments but I will mention it to him. His bike is actually very cool the only thing I can say bad is the colour. Saying that I don't like the colour of most bikes including my own.
I'm probably 30% to 40% slower, so I'll stay with Zak 🤣🤣🤣
Really good riding lance getting better every time. I finally got my bike back with a new minion dhf 2.6 29 and a sram gx derailleur and it rides so well. But keep up the good work on filming and riding

"No Mates Eastman" kicks another guy off his bike. I do like to see guy who is not in a big hurry to move just sit there getting his breath back until he realizes that his ride is broken then leaps to his feet to check it. Another great video
Graham often doesn't move for awhile after a crash until he has assessed the situation. We are all standing there waiting to find out if he is ok. I did think it was funny though that he jumped up when I said the bars were broken.

Really lucky to walk away from that unscathed! That ground it hard and he certainly had plenty of pace when he came off. How’s the bruising now it’s a few days later?
This was filmed on the 1st Jan so Graham is all god now. We filmed an even bigger jump last week so you will have to wait for that one.
Great video. I really want to know what type of body armour Graham is wearing, because it seems to work really well! Maybe you could do a body armour review video :) ?
It is an old six six one set but seems light but good protection. He seems to wear it most of the time now.

The bars were carbon. I have had carbon wheels and bars before but I take your point.

I really don't know. I am keen to do it but it is always a matter of trying to organize it. I don't want to go down on my own. One day I would like to do a big road trip and ride all the best spots in NZ. I have never even ridden in Nelson another must do location.

I had the same bars which broke on Huck Hound a couple of years ago. To be fair most bars would have gone the same way.
I do wonder what would have happened to aluminium bars. I don't think they would snap like that. I agree that most carbon bars would have done the same.

I still find it bizarre that people want a selfie with me. I am a middle aged over weight e biker who struggles with technology. Not really the best combination for a youtube star. I do enjoy meeting followers of the channel though.
You should head ba K up to maraetai forest on a dry day it's actually pretty amazing
I have ridden there in the dry and must get over there again as they have some good tracks.
