Josh is one of the finest guitarists on RUclips. His mastery of the instrument over the relatively few years he has been posting on YT is impressive and his arrangements are exceptional, as he demonstrates on this number. Allison's voice is perfect for this cover, clear and perfect. They are a great duet.
At our YMCA pool, we have Sirius radio. A group of young, 17-22 year-old lifeguards always put the music to the "Siriusly Sinatra" channel, which plays 40s & 50's crooner music. The Bygones playlist sounds so good...I really think we have a yearning for this more decent, respectful, bygone era.
This has been recorded by a staggering number of performers, but probably none better than this. This is a Hoagy Carmichael song written nearly 100 years ago. Lyrics by Mitchell Parish. When these two perform one of these old standbys, I wish the composer were still alive to hear it.
Great cover of this old favorite. I recommend checking out another version on Justine Lucas RUclips channel( not sure how to put a link on a comment). Cheers!
The name The Bygones is brand new. They both have RUclips channels, his is josh turner guitar, hers is Allison young. They have been getting together about once a year to record a song or two. They are both on the streaming services under their own names. Actually Josh’s is Joshua Lee Turner. Lat year they did a brief well received tour in the UK and put out an EP of original songs. This year they came up with the name The Bygones, and just did their first two US shows, one in Nashville and this one in NYC,both sold out. So I think we’ll be hearing and seeing a lot more from them.
So beautiful - thanks for reviving these classic standards ❤

A musical duo of the highest caliber. They have mastered the ability to make everything appear fresh and new. Ed
Josh and Allison, this is again amazing and brilliant. Nice guitar work here Josh!

I hope so. I've been a fan of Josh for a while and have really liked what I've heard from this duo. So good.
