I think I just discovered something about all of the Assassin's Creed game trailers which could give us information about Unity (It's credible); The end parts of the trailers, where it shows the Assassin's logo and the game's name shows what animus you're using, so this way we can tell if in the modern day we are working for the Assassin's or Templars/Abstergo in the game. Here's sort of what I mean, I'll put the game, and then the style of the background/Animus effects next to it: Assassin's Creed - White - Okay, this may be an exception, because it was the first game in the series, and it is the earliest Animus we get to use. Assassin's Creed 2 - White, with grey lines and squares, etc... (Just like the pause menu, main menu, etc...) - Assassin's Animus was used in the game. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - The same as Assassin's Creed 2 - Again in the Assassin's Animus. Assassin's Creed Revelation - Black/blue and glitchy - This is an exception because it relates to the story since your mind was being preserved in the Animus. So I like the fact that Arno (and the other Assassins) seem to only have one hidden blade, but performing a double assassination is still possible. I'm also enjoying the new kill animations so far, as well as the rapier-styled swordplay.
Ok Ubisoft, the THREE things you NEED to do: you should be able to CUSTOMIZE your ASSASSIN. There should be a CROUCH MECHANIC or at least a WATCH DOGS-ESQUE COVER MECHANIC (after all, it is a stealth game). Finally, you should be ABLE TO PLAY SINGLE PLAYER as well, I know the whole new concept is playing with friends, but SOME PEOPLE (me) DON'T HAVE FRIENDS WITH PS4'S OR XBONE'S OR FRIENDS THAT'LL GET THIS GAME. So please make it single player as well, just in case.

rellman31 That is true. The story of Assassin's Creed has been going quite bad since the end of Ezio. Since than, it was more about the main character than assassin's and templars. AC1 and the Ezio series kept a nice balance between the 2.
It looks awesome and I'm so exited but, I just feel like in real life there won't be very much coordination, everyone will just rush in without strategy on co-op. My real life friends aren't really game players so I'll have to deal with strangers. Also though I suppose mics will help communication, but either way co-op is totally a plus to an already amazing game.
I won't have that problem if my friends get the game or if there is split screen, but even in multiplayer there are a lot of people that try to use strategy with other people. Sometimes you just don't know it because they don't have a mic and are using a different strategy than yours, hoping you will catch on to it.
true. the concept is great and it will still work. what will happen though, is that as soon as you spawn theyll rush in and alert all the guards lol, and one person will go head first and kill everyone. the only way you can be stealthy would be if there was splitscreen, or if tons of guards would come in once you alert them, making it really really hard to complete the mission.
MukeshPandya1985 according to the AC:Unity guide, if you run to the middle of 5 guards for example, you will easily die, they made the combat system a bit more harder and you will not be able to counter and start a killing spree anymore, it's hard to explain but, if you battle against too many guards alone, you will easily die, the guy will be forced to use team work or he will die if he does what you are saying.
JokerPoker5RP well the combat system must be harder, but keep in mind that it's an open world, you can't make hard fight an only enemy, but with 2 or 3 yes!
Unity is a masterpiece the player's combat styles , parkour , movements everything is out of the box and never seen in any other assassin's creed game. The Most Realistic graphics I've found in any assassin's creed game.. Wonderful Wonderful!!! and yes i'm talking about actual gameplay.
I like that this game has a bit more physicality to the assassinations. Like instead of instantly stabbing them and being off, you will sort of smack them and stab, and with an air assassination, you land and then stab, instead of fusing the two motions.

HOT DAMN. What engine is this?! The description just says "all new [Engine Name] engine" This is all so breathtaking in a technical sense that I'm, understandably, a bit skeptical. Especially with some of the last minute downgrades that have been happening. The scale of the Paris cityscape looks incredible. The level of detail both inside and out is ridiculous. Arno's new animations are silky smooth (I don't know how you guys continually improve that with every game). The amount of AI in the crowd is yet another thing that's impossibly impressive. And then co-op on top of it all... haha what in the hell?! Each one of those things on its own I could see happening, but all of it cumulatively... how? How did Ubisoft squeeze out all this power from the seemingly underpowered next-gen consoles? I don't want to be a cynic. I genuinely want to be proven wrong. Pls Ubisoft.
actually I didn't have any problem running it on Windows 8.1 the main reason I hate this game is the awful combat mechanisms and a bad story by the way Arno is way much better than Jacob

Its a miracle how fast these guys can climb walls and jump so high. Like, look at that first hop onto the fence in the beginning. That was like a 7 feet jump!
She has a beautifully intelligent voice and soothing tone. They made a great choice for a demo narrator - from their own staff. That in itself is a great marketing strategy.
Kyy A None of Your Business is telling the truth, As stated from Assassin's Creed wiki the developers removed the Counter kill feature in order to make the game more challenging, and in addition to that they have removed majority of the haystacks BUT NOT ALL take note so the players will use the parkour down feature more often :))
Almost here.... few more months.... I just hope Ubi stays true to the Single Player mode and not head towards multiplayer like everyone else. Single player is the reason this game sells so much, and if they keep doing more and more multiplayer, like they have been doing passed few years, I might stop buying these games.
It was also a callback to the stories back during the revolution. Holding the head of a decapitated person up for the crowd was common, not for the crowd, but because it would be the last thing the executed would see. Even back then they knew that the brain would stay functional for at least several seconds before dying.
unfortunately, im pretty sure this is not the case. It seems to me as if you play as the main character. watch dogs style, everyone looks like the main character on their screen, but the others look different. yeah you could probably upgrade your skills and abilities, but the most in cosmetic change that i'd expect is maybe a different color of clothing or two lol
Co-op is cool and all but will anything change if I play it alone vs with 3 other people? I like my AC story experience alone. I like this, the parkour or free-running animations look more fluid, combat looks fine, just don't degrade the graphics again like you did with Watch_Dogs, and we'll get along just fine. There's no confirmation on Comet yet, or AC's last game on the last-gen of consoles. So I might as well start saving up for a PS4, and besides, lots of cool games coming out in 2015.
No. Arno will be the main story character. The other 3 will probably get names, but Arno wi be the one controlling the story. It's designed to be single player, but the coop is available as an option.
I started a random co-op mission like this one once (by accident) where your target is a guy like this - A rich noble in makeup. I quickly quit the game after the session began because I wanted to join my brother's world.. So.. there are group assassination missions where you and your friends have one rich noble target.. right? Because I saw the cut scene of one but now I've completed all the co-op missions and heists, so how to I play this one and the one I previously saw? And are there more..? Are these not missions but rather natural happening s around france?
I played this game in 2020 and it still so incredible , I guess after 20 years people are gonna still love this game , so I request Ubisoft to please create a remastered version for this game or a remake of story instead of thinking about black flag 2
I love how in the trailer they use the scientific fact that if a head gets cut off a body it can stay alive for about 10 seconds like how to head moved a little bit.

rellman31 That is true. The story of Assassin's Creed has been going quite bad since the end of Ezio. Since than, it was more about the main character than assassin's and templars. AC1 and the Ezio series kept a nice balance between the 2.

I remember when everyone was amazed with the coat physics and how it flew.
It looks awesome and I'm so exited but, I just feel like in real life there won't be very much coordination, everyone will just rush in without strategy on co-op. My real life friends aren't really game players so I'll have to deal with strangers. Also though I suppose mics will help communication, but either way co-op is totally a plus to an already amazing game.
I won't have that problem if my friends get the game or if there is split screen, but even in multiplayer there are a lot of people that try to use strategy with other people. Sometimes you just don't know it because they don't have a mic and are using a different strategy than yours, hoping you will catch on to it.
Sewshut Yeah, I just have to get better at syncing strategies with other people. It's just with other games it tends to be a kill race.

true. the concept is great and it will still work. what will happen though, is that as soon as you spawn theyll rush in and alert all the guards lol, and one person will go head first and kill everyone. the only way you can be stealthy would be if there was splitscreen, or if tons of guards would come in once you alert them, making it really really hard to complete the mission.

according to the AC:Unity guide, if you run to the middle of 5 guards for example, you will easily die, they made the combat system a bit more harder and you will not be able to counter and start a killing spree anymore, it's hard to explain but, if you battle against too many guards alone, you will easily die, the guy will be forced to use team work or he will die if he does what you are saying.

Unity is a masterpiece the player's combat styles , parkour , movements everything is out of the box and never seen in any other assassin's creed game. The Most Realistic graphics I've found in any assassin's creed game.. Wonderful Wonderful!!! and yes i'm talking about actual gameplay.
I like that this game has a bit more physicality to the assassinations. Like instead of instantly stabbing them and being off, you will sort of smack them and stab, and with an air assassination, you land and then stab, instead of fusing the two motions.

This is all so breathtaking in a technical sense that I'm, understandably, a bit skeptical. Especially with some of the last minute downgrades that have been happening. The scale of the Paris cityscape looks incredible. The level of detail both inside and out is ridiculous. Arno's new animations are silky smooth (I don't know how you guys continually improve that with every game). The amount of AI in the crowd is yet another thing that's impossibly impressive. And then co-op on top of it all... haha what in the hell?!
Each one of those things on its own I could see happening, but all of it cumulatively... how? How did Ubisoft squeeze out all this power from the seemingly underpowered next-gen consoles? I don't want to be a cynic. I genuinely want to be proven wrong. Pls Ubisoft.

I had a xbox before don't get me wrong not a fan boy but Microsoft problems, more money, and the kinect. The ps4 is just a better GAMING system...Microsoft is slowly making updates to improve but eh not a fan anymore

The French Revolution was crazy and I think this game embodies it well.
You guys know the studio working on this is ubisoft Toronto. The Same studio who made ac2. And they made Ezio so, no doubt that this character will be as awesome

Its a miracle how fast these guys can climb walls and jump so high. Like, look at that first hop onto the fence in the beginning. That was like a 7 feet jump!
She has a beautifully intelligent voice and soothing tone. They made a great choice for a demo narrator - from their own staff. That in itself is a great marketing strategy.

Kyy A None of Your Business is telling the truth, As stated from Assassin's Creed wiki the developers removed the Counter kill feature in order to make the game more challenging, and in addition to that they have removed majority of the haystacks BUT NOT ALL take note so the players will use the parkour down feature more often :))

Almost here.... few more months.... I just hope Ubi stays true to the Single Player mode and not head towards multiplayer like everyone else. Single player is the reason this game sells so much, and if they keep doing more and more multiplayer, like they have been doing passed few years, I might stop buying these games.

It was also a callback to the stories back during the revolution. Holding the head of a decapitated person up for the crowd was common, not for the crowd, but because it would be the last thing the executed would see. Even back then they knew that the brain would stay functional for at least several seconds before dying.

unfortunately, im pretty sure this is not the case. It seems to me as if you play as the main character. watch dogs style, everyone looks like the main character on their screen, but the others look different. yeah you could probably upgrade your skills and abilities, but the most in cosmetic change that i'd expect is maybe a different color of clothing or two lol
I just hope this game is enjoyable without coop mode as well. I can't wait though!

Co-op is cool and all but will anything change if I play it alone vs with 3 other people? I like my AC story experience alone.
I like this, the parkour or free-running animations look more fluid, combat looks fine, just don't degrade the graphics again like you did with Watch_Dogs, and we'll get along just fine.
There's no confirmation on Comet yet, or AC's last game on the last-gen of consoles. So I might as well start saving up for a PS4, and besides, lots of cool games coming out in 2015.
No. Arno will be the main story character. The other 3 will probably get names, but Arno wi be the one controlling the story. It's designed to be single player, but the coop is available as an option.

I started a random co-op mission like this one once (by accident) where your target is a guy like this - A rich noble in makeup. I quickly quit the game after the session began because I wanted to join my brother's world.. So.. there are group assassination missions where you and your friends have one rich noble target.. right? Because I saw the cut scene of one but now I've completed all the co-op missions and heists, so how to I play this one and the one I previously saw? And are there more..? Are these not missions but rather natural happening s around france?

I played this game in 2020 and it still so incredible , I guess after 20 years people are gonna still love this game , so I request Ubisoft to please create a remastered version for this game or a remake of story instead of thinking about black flag 2
