    Thank you so much for sharing that glorious piece of clothing you crafted - I have ideas whirling around my head! I love collecting op shop embroidered, crochet and lace treasures and using them in my stitchery which I also share videos on. Definitely a kindred spirit in enjoying giving old pieces of hand crafted beauty a second life. Cheers, Christine

      That is fabulous Christine. My grandmother was big into creating all those things. I love love love browsing through the op shop for old hand made pieces too. We are definitely kindred spirits! ❤️

      @@artfiberstitch it is a lovely connection to our history and family. My nanna was a seamstress so when I’m sewing or playing with fabrics I feel she is close by. Cheers, Christine

    Soo gorgeous! I've got a passion for trying this now.
    I started working on paper with oil pastels, letting my intuition lead the way. And then I applied on fabric using the same technique and stitching.
    What fun! Thank you Traci!❤

    Beautiful. I just found some doilies at a thrift store. I love your idea. Have you ever made a napkin doll on fabric? You make a skirt with the napkin, the add another fabric for her bodice and head/hat. Would love to see your ideas.

      Hi Julie 👋. I have just had to try and look up Napkin Dolls to see what they are. I can remember my grandmother making swans and bunnies and such from cloth napkins. I will think on it 🤔❤️

    Without sewing the doilies how would you recommend attaching them to a solid piece of fabric?

    • @artfiberstitch
      @artfiberstitch  3 месяца назад

      Hard to know what to say, would depend on the use of the fabric afterward, and the doilies themselves. You could always try a fusible web
