    I learned french for five years in school and never had a single real conversation in french outside of my lessons. I have been speaking esperanto for under three months and have already had conversations with people from at least 20 different countries. If you are wondering whether to learn esperanto vs a specific other language then there may be good reasons to learn the other language, however if you are wondering whether to learn esperanto vs no language I would say it is definitely worth learning.

      I think it all depends on who you are around.Esperanto is mainly useful on the web I believe. Any language is useful, and I'd you enjoy it all the better

    I love the efficiency of Esperanto - if you learn the root ox, you instantly know the words bull, cow, calf, herd of cows, cowhouse, calf shed, beef, veal etc., because you just produce the words 😄 "Buy 1, get 20+"

      Actually, that's a great point! It's a lovely 'mix and match' language

    A good general introduction for people who may want to learn Esperanto. To learn any language your must have an interest in that language. I stared relearning French as a hobby. (I like the French language, culture, art etc). I had been to France many years ago and was annoyed that my level of French was ok for a tourist but I could not carry on a conversation. Now after relearning French it has changed my life, as fluency in the language opens one to new experiences. The same happens when you learn Esperanto and any other language.

    What is valuable can vary so much from one person to another that it is really a tricky question to answer, but these are great general guidelines. Way to keep it simple!

    Esperanto needs to have more entertainment, someone should create a tv channel on RUclips streaming news on live in Esperanto, translate more books in esperanto, create new songs in esperanto.

    I'm learning Spanish now already reaching level A2 and I started learning Esperanto 2 days ago
    Guess what I already speak French and know some German so it's very easy to understand and recognise most of the vocabulary
    I mean I really feel like getting fluent in a month wish me luck 😹
    Dankonn!! 🙏🏻

      Hahaha Maybe some people do but seriously, the majority just want to learn it for whatever reasons anyone learns any language.

    Dankon pro la video :)

      Mi konsentas. Plue, mi lernas lastatempe ke estas multaj sciencaj malkovroj, ke estas aŭ estis forgesitaj ĉar publikiĝis en aliaj lingvoj (ne en la angla). Tio estas malĝusta!

    Hello is there a way to have Esperanto meetings online, and join them ?

    • @KeepItSimpleEsperanto
      @KeepItSimpleEsperanto  4 года назад +1

      I believe that quite a few meetings are online at the moment. Go to meetup.com and there may be something local to you. I'm very sure there are other places to have meetings online, but I don't specifically know of any. Anybody else know?
