I want to try something since the comments seem to be going into a black-and-white mentality about the man being a predator. I don’t know the context of this game, I’m going to go based on what I see. I’m also not a therapist/psychologist/expert in the matter, but I just want to consider some things others may not. I will write my version of a character analysis shown here and I will try to stay as neutral as possible. So everyone is debating about the man. We don’t know if he is after the girl or not. First, we see him get up immediately after the girl and grab her hand, stating that he gets off here as well, followed by asking the girl, Willow, if she lives here. Given that they were on the same bus and he reacted in this way, it means he had been watching her and noticed that she was alone. They both seem to be the only ones on the back of the bus, but I can’t tell from the small screen. With this knowledge, he is either trying to prey on Willow or trying to protect her from other predators. The fact that she is alone either makes him see this as an opportunity, or a need to protect her. The man got up and grabbed Willow’s wrist/hand to stop her in her tracks. We don't know how hard, but it was loose enough for Willow to later break free. This gesture could be one of a possessive nature or simply to get Willow's attention and make sure she is listening. This gesture isn't the best for a guy to use against a little girl (An adult for a child in general, really), and a more common gesture would be a light grab or tap on the shoulder or simply speaking to get Willow's attention. So a grab like this is often viewed negatively, leaning towards a predator nature. But just because the gesture is negative doesn’t mean the intentions aren't, it depends on other factors. His movements also didn’t seem like a rough snatch, but who knows how fast it is for other animations in the game. The man’s expression, mainly his eyes, seems more generic and not like a predatory leer nor shifting nervously (don’t know the game’s style, so who knows). The way he leans in could be interpreted as invading space but it can also be interpreted as concern. The first thing the man said was: “I will be getting off here too” followed by “Do you live here, little girl?”. The man didn’t first ask questions like “Are your parents here/expecting you?”, “Are you alright?”, or “Are you lost?” His first statement seems like a justifying one, that he feels the need to give this reason for getting up before he asks his second question. It seems oddly placed as he is holding onto Willow’s wrist as he says this, which is a red flag. However, the man does ask if the girl lives here. This could be to get a location, but it could also be a question to see whether or not Willow was lost. We don’t know what his follow-up questions would have been as Willow didn’t answer. One other thing to note is the man did not know who Willow was, given he said “little girl” instead of her name. So he was obviously not a relative or even a relative’s friend. He was a stranger. This does not help his case as a predator, but a stranger can still show concern for a child on their own regardless of whether they know them or not. When Willow breaks free of the man’s grasp, he doesn't seem to try and pull her back towards him when she does. We even see his hand move back to his side when he feels resistance. He wasn’t trying to hold her to the back of the bus where there seemed to be no one there. His hold, then, could very well have just been to get Willow’s attention. He then calls for Willow to wait as she runs out of the bus. He is being vocal, and this could alert other people to the scene, which predators would likely want to avoid unless he tries to play this off. But more likely it seems to be of concern. He saw a girl on her own running out of a bus (potentially into traffic) and he may be thinking of keeping the child in his sights to make sure she is safe. He may feel obligated to do so as he was the only other person on the bus (from what it looked like) who saw this girl on her own and he wouldn’t want her to fall to a real child predator or other dangers. When Willow runs to Lady Victoria, the man catches up. The man then sees Lady Victoria and Willow together and asks, “Oh hi, do you know this girl?”. This could be a way of playing off the fact he was running to catch up to Willow if he had bad intentions. But this doesn’t seem like a question asked out of nervousness or panic, as there is no stuttering or pauses. He doesn’t seem frustrated at being caught or deterred. It seems more casual (and maybe relieved? It’s a possibility.) He could be wondering if Willow was safe with Lady Victoria, especially if they are related and could act as a guardian. When Lady Victoria mentions Willow as her niece and asks if the man had any business with her, He says no and that they were on the same bus. He is telling the truth about the bus, still keeping the casual tone with ‘not really’. He could be lying when he says that he didn’t have any business with her, it is possible he really did, but some of his other reactions say otherwise. Finally, when Lady Victoria mentioned that Willow looked scared and he needed to leave, he just replied with, “Well bye then”, and walked away. No protests, he just left. Who knows if he was deterred by Lady Victoria and just wanted out of the situation before any consequences could befall him, but it could also just be a sign of respect for both Lady Victoria’s and Willow’s space. He did somewhat lose his casual tone, but it is difficult to tell. Since there was no comma it is one sentence, so it seems more casual than dejected or annoyed. He could simply be relieved that Willow was safe and he didn’t have to worry about it anymore and continue on with his day. After doing some light research on the game, Willow is dealing with hallucinations after encountering a stalker and she cannot tell what is real and what isn’t. The player must navigate the game with this in mind. What this likely means is the developer is likely to put hints of negative or positive situations to confuse the player, so that could have been what happened here (estimation). The man seemed like a predator at first, but it also seemed that he was fine later (whether or not he was faking it, I don’t know). Many games make the player think one thing when really it is another. This isn’t the only reason the man was acting the way he was, but it can have a big influence. From Willow’s perspective, she reacted by running away from the man because she wasn’t sure if he was real and if he was a stalker. She already had to deal with one once and she didn’t want to risk finding out if the man was a predator or not. Her instinct was to run to Lady Victoria, afraid of the man due to her past experiences. this is an understandable reaction, always make sure you're safe before understanding the situation. There is a reason we say ‘better safe than sorry’. From Lady Victoria’s perspective, all she saw was Willow running to her, afraid, with a man chasing after her. This would set alarm bells off in anyone and she wanted to protect Willow from a potential predator, whether or not the man actually was one. So, she defended Willow and told the man to leave. The man was likely real and not a hallucination if Lady Victoria could hear and respond to him. I could go on, but I wrote so much already and I’m sure you are tired of reading. I just wanted to go over some of their perspectives because it seems no one else has considered them (on both sides of the argument.) Yes, men shouldn’t automatically be deemed predators when they are interacting with children and women shouldn’t be always viewed as safe by contrast. Society has issues with what is socially acceptable and forbidden. But it cannot be ignored that danger is always a possibility, and males take up the majority of child predators (that we know of), so there is reason to be concerned in situations that may seem off. But if it turns out someone is just your average Joe, then let it go. I personally think the man was fine and simply concerned for Willow. I am still keeping in mind the possibilities though, If I was in Willow’s shoes or Lady Victoria’s shoes, I wouldn’t risk it either. But If I really want to be sure of anything, I would have to play the game. I don’t know if the man is a recurring character or if we later see if he is a good person or not. Some of you probably need to see the game for yourself as well. Anyway, thank you for coming to my TedTalk, please consider every perspective and side of the story before coming to shallow conclusions. Feel free to add in your imputes, so long as they are considerate. Tl; Dr: There is none, I implore you to read the entire thing to get an accurate perspective. I know it is long and I don’t apologize for it. Edit: I realize that the man could have been touching her hip/behind (it was hard to tell from the art style since this was the first short I saw.) If that was the case, then the man was definitely a predator and was trying to play off his attempts to touch Willow and failed. I was going off the notion that he was holding her hand or something. I’m still considering all possibilities, but this is one of them.
@@idkwhatgwagais Thank you. I’m alright, I didn’t to this for reward, I did this because I wanted to understand. Many were defending and prosecuting the man and I just wanted to see both sides and why might someone would defend that position, whether or not it was the right one.
This is a really good and thoughtful analysis and I had fun reading it! It’s really interesting to see how people can have many interpretations. I don’t have the game or have played it so it’s interesting to see what the possibilities could be
So apparently not many people know this game and the man on the bus is supposed to be a predator since the game is made for awareness of SA and harassment but the creator should've interpreted the man in this scene better since it doesn't look like he's a predator and people might think its just sexism which is not
And how exactly does a predator look? predators can be either a stranger or someone u know , man or women, different looks as well, it’s about the ACTIONS they do, if a person stops u from leaving that’s a red flag, if they get off at the stop u got off right after grabbing u that’s another red flag ..ect , it’s about catching these signs and knowing u have to go find help before other things happen
That happened to me but I was walking alone to my friends house While I was walking I saw a random man come out of nowhere I never thought much until I looked back while I was near my friends house, I walked through the forest area and stopped there, I saw him looking around angry and went a way that also leads to my school but I wasn't there. I quickly ran out to my friends house and I saw his face.. It was a old man wearing blue, I told my friend but never anyone else because I was scared they would take it into the police.
I hope they feature the dangers of female predators, so they can know that not all women who seem genuine aren't exactly genuine. Context: I was touched inappropriately by a woman on the transit back when I was 12, and that's all I can say...
Tbh I find it sad stories like yours are drowned out. Anytime they are people act like we are trying to discount womens stories and take away from them. As if one cannot say "Hey, there are creeps on both sides, can we try to raise awareness for both and show people the signs of creeps from both sexes?"
@@panic39tf u mean i havent met a single creep My entire life yes The majority of creeps are men but still The procent of men that are actual creeps IS less than like 5 procent%
I was harrassed at such a young age I never got to really figure what I wanted to do with my life, because all I could think is I want to make some impact, some game or something, that can help others know they aren’t alone or that help is out there and this is literally the game of my dreams. I’m so sorry you were ever inspired to make this and thank you.

not so fun fact: sa and creeps like this does not happen only male to females, but also females to males and even males to males. my brother have been sa'd by a 30 year old female when he was 10, i had been sa'd by a 40 year old female when i was 13. way too many associate sexual assault as something only males do.
Because it's literally the truth of statistics. Men assault people at way higher rates than women do. It's literally just the truth I don't know why you can't accept it. 90% of all crimes on children are men , women only make up 10%. That's a huge difference in numbers. People only think it's mainly male-dominated because it's literally the truth I don't know why you're trying to act like it's not the truth.
Fun fact: men makeup 90% of all sexual crimes on children women only make up 10%. You're trying to act like actual statistic numbers don't exist and that people say this for no reason. It's insane how you're a victim and you're trying to downplay how much men do this.😊
Wow, my heart just absolutely shattered. I'm sorry for what you and your brother went through, and I hope you're both recovering, and I pray the people who caused that pain are dealt with to the fullest extent. I'll be praying for you both. Take care of yourselves❤❤❤❤❤
Ugh, I had a pretty similar situation, except it happened at a bus station. I hate the fact that even though there were a lot of people there, no one even reacted
I was gonna say, „Wow this is so cool! I love the art style, it looks like it could be a game!“ then I see that it is a game and I find myself in the Appstore tryna find it lol
the old dude was meant to be creepy, but personally i agree the harassment could've been interpreted better, it just shows the guy was genuinely worried of the girl instead of being creepy and disgusting and like a stalker, but i don't think the creators intention was to be sexist in any way, the intention of this game was to show how a lot of women suffer through sa and sexual harassment on the daily
If women/girls were to believe all men that ask if we live around here and follow us to our home have good intentions, a lot more of us would die or be assaulted. It isn’t sexist for a girl to be safe. Obviously not all men are like this, but you can’t just assume someone is trustworthy.
it’s not rlly sexism, sure not all guys are going to harass or assault a women BUT it’s other boys fault that women have this fear. i understand boys fearing girls because of trauma and it’s understandable for girls to fear boys because of trauma or because girls are more likely to be assaulted sexually.
Bro that's provqlly just an old man worried for a little girl who is alone. It looked like he had no intentions on being weird. Yall see something so small and think the worst, its funny how annoying and stupid yall guys can be.
The game is about a little girl walking home while being stalked and creeped on by grown men, no one was assuming anything, that’s what the game is about
If you’ve heard of or played the game, you’d probably assume that as well, considering the rest of the gameplay, the creator made to game to spread awareness on what women and young girls go through on a daily basis
That's because if we don't think the worst, we are prone to being hurt, stalked and other horrible acts by those disgusting perpetrators. We never truly know someone's intentions, better safe than sorry especially for younger girls. In the end, no matter how you look at it, an old man shouldn't be following a little girl around, it comes off as weird.
If women/girls were to believe all men that ask if we live around here and follow us to our home have good intentions, a lot more of us would die or be assaulted. It isn’t sexist for a girl to be safe. Obviously not all men are like this, but you can’t just assume someone is trustworthy.
This is a real story sent to me by a fan on my instagram. They asked I made the story and shared it. My mission on Virago since 2020 was to spread awareness on situations like this. I always posted daily despite not getting any clicks, it was always my mission to listen to my fans and integrate any story they have into the game and animation process. I’m grateful that I’m going sort of viral on RUclips because now I have a new audience I can share the stories too.
@ViragoGame, first of all, dont heart your own reply. It's pretentious Second of all, why would you use the same characters over and over? The busty nun thing kind of takes away from the authenticity of the story. Also, if that lady character is supposed to be a nun, don't over-sexualise them. Nuns have taken a vow of celibacy. Which, for the uneducated, means they deny all marriage and sexual temptations, and it would be insulting to throw that out the window for the sake of attention. Correct me if it's not supposed to be a nun, but this since this art is simplistic, it's difficult to discern what it's supposed to be. Do better.
I never used to really care when someone would pat me on the back or put their hand on my shoulder, but I do remember there’s one experience I had with a teacher and it really made me uncomfortable because bro really just like had his hand on my shoulder and he was kinda rubbing it too, it was kind of weird and I’m like yo, so I took his hand off. I looked at him, and after that, I don’t know I couldn’t look at them same. It was just weird.

I’m still considering all possibilities, but this is one of them.

thank you
but damn r u ok must suck for. the lack of reward for the analysis, great job however
@@idkwhatgwagais Thank you.

And how exactly does a predator look? predators can be either a stranger or someone u know , man or women, different looks as well, it’s about the ACTIONS they do, if a person stops u from leaving that’s a red flag, if they get off at the stop u got off right after grabbing u that’s another red flag ..ect , it’s about catching these signs and knowing u have to go find help before other things happen

not so fun fact: sa and creeps like this does not happen only male to females, but also females to males and even males to males.
my brother have been sa'd by a 30 year old female when he was 10, i had been sa'd by a 40 year old female when i was 13.
way too many associate sexual assault as something only males do.

FR!!!! FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT... LIKE BRO?💀🙏🏻😭
Man her auntie is looking fine
This is just sad, this is an example of
Sexism, bro is just worry a little was all alone in a bus
the old dude was meant to be creepy, but personally i agree the harassment could've been interpreted better, it just shows the guy was genuinely worried of the girl instead of being creepy and disgusting and like a stalker, but i don't think the creators intention was to be sexist in any way, the intention of this game was to show how a lot of women suffer through sa and sexual harassment on the daily
If women/girls were to believe all men that ask if we live around here and follow us to our home have good intentions, a lot more of us would die or be assaulted. It isn’t sexist for a girl to be safe. Obviously not all men are like this, but you can’t just assume someone is trustworthy.
I don’t think u know what sexism is or entails. Also, the guy was grabbing her by her waist and asking to join a little girl, how is that not creepy?
it’s not rlly sexism, sure not all guys are going to harass or assault a women BUT it’s other boys fault that women have this fear. i understand boys fearing girls because of trauma and it’s understandable for girls to fear boys because of trauma or because girls are more likely to be assaulted sexually.
Considering these are all based on real experiences of SA/Predatory behaviour- I’d have to disagree.
I feel like willow is the victim in almost every episode. But I STAN VICTORIA!!! 🔥❤️

You sure?
He was not
Yeahh i hope an middle aged person will follow every little kid home! And make sure to touch them randomly too so they feel safe❤️
"NIECE" GOT ME DYING💀💀💀☠️☠️
The irony to be saying that.
If women/girls were to believe all men that ask if we live around here and follow us to our home have good intentions, a lot more of us would die or be assaulted. It isn’t sexist for a girl to be safe. Obviously not all men are like this, but you can’t just assume someone is trustworthy.
Tall lady Victoria is caked up to the brim of limits💀💀💀😭😭😭
Im starting to think you're milking these types of interactions for clicks
This is a real story sent to me by a fan on my instagram. They asked I made the story and shared it. My mission on Virago since 2020 was to spread awareness on situations like this. I always posted daily despite not getting any clicks, it was always my mission to listen to my fans and integrate any story they have into the game and animation process. I’m grateful that I’m going sort of viral on RUclips because now I have a new audience I can share the stories too.
If you don’t like it then scroll on. This person has been spreading awareness for years.
@ViragoGame, first of all, dont heart your own reply. It's pretentious
Second of all, why would you use the same characters over and over? The busty nun thing kind of takes away from the authenticity of the story.
Also, if that lady character is supposed to be a nun, don't over-sexualise them. Nuns have taken a vow of celibacy. Which, for the uneducated, means they deny all marriage and sexual temptations, and it would be insulting to throw that out the window for the sake of attention.
Correct me if it's not supposed to be a nun, but this since this art is simplistic, it's difficult to discern what it's supposed to be.
Do better.
