The reunion. Now cloud says that.
They will see her again. I mean both cloud and Zack are in different realms looking for Aerith. It's the resolve. It will happen.
*SPOILERS*
I hate how much they jerked us around in those last 2-3 hours. It was like Schrodinger's Aerith. Is she alive, dead, from a different dimension, an illusion, a ghost? It was a back and forth, back and forth. In the end it APPEARS she IS dead and a ghost that only Cloud can see for some reason, but man did they jerk around the viewers for as long as possible. And of course they left it nebulous enough that they could change things again in the 3rd one.
I think that's the point. Deny expectations. I couldn't resist looking up the ending as Aerith is a character I need to grieve for well before it ends and the adventure is what I want to be happy about without fearing.
The point is to deny the audience of the same loop. To make it confusing to lead to the next chapter. It's intentional, yet frustrating.
@@softlock231I don't mind the changes. Most of the changes that ARENT some time loop, dimensional rift bs are GOOD changes imo. Yuffie being early in the party, the friendship with Tifa and Aerith, the Wutai political subplot, etc. Like most of these changes were good. But this mumbo jumbo, weird, nebulous, kingdom hearts bs they pull at the end of every section is just not it. They should COMMIT. In this version of FF7 Aerith stays alive, THATS IT. Or maybe if they wanted some grit but STILL kept her alive she could have lost a limb or something. Or JUST kill her off as the original did. Or kill someone else off. Etc. But commit and don't turn the plot into a Twillight Zone episode.
