Great video Aaron! Always look forward to your videos! Looks like a good harvest. Surprised Deere didn’t show up with a 9900 for you guys to try! ;) best of luck the rest of the harvest season!
I just subbed your channel, awesome stuff!! Just finished pitting our 1rst cutting Haylage a few days ago. On our Silage pits, I get them pretty high and the feeder guys use a long armed face rake that hooks on our loaders with a quick attach. I'm curious how this size of a pile is fed off.. It seems pretty high for any rake I've seen being used. Is there a chance that in the future you could shoot some video of it being loaded off?? If you have any vids of the process already, could I get the name of it? I'm in the process of going thru your vid collection now :)
Looking forward to checking out the 2019 Corn Silage harvest on Monday. Hoping to turn it into milk the most efficient way possible!...Atlantic Dairy Consulting, LLC
Dairies most are ginormous. But also they rent most of the ground or buy the corn from the farmer to chop which is what the ones in my area do. It’s very cool to see
Christ alive thats alot of feed!! How many cows in this place? I likr machinery and all but im a cow man, would love to work in one of those big dairy's in the US....also, does it take like a week to cover those pits or like 1000 migrant workers or something?
For 3 farms through the long Minnesota winter, East and West Dublin and Meadowstar Dairies. 8,800 just at Meadow Star they use a rotary that can milk more than 100 cows simultaneously in order to get the most from the herd. Shipping a tanker of milk every three hours for a total of half a million pounds of milk a day. East Dublin Dairy milks 5,280 cows twice a day.
Nice video great editing, it really captures the size of this operation. Unfortunately this kind of production is what is putting family farms out of business in America. Anybody paying attention to what's happening to the dairy industry? There used to actually be real opportunities for people to operate farms, soon its just going to be a few elitists. At least there's RUclips and farming simulators...what happened?
Kevin Kauffman Thank you. It is unfortunate what’s happening to small family farms, I grew up on one so I do feel the pain. Virtually every other industry has experienced this type of change though, from fast food to car auto parts stores. Even in ag, you don’t see small poultry or hog operations anymore. I realize this is just one example, but this company does things right, from keeping their sites spotless and repaired correctly, having a professional work environment that builds people up, and involving the local community as much as possible.
Does John Deere or any company in US make corn silage harvesters that just do 2 rows? I've seen them made in china, but its super sketchy buying crap overseas. We want to make our own corn silage for our small dairy farm instead of buying it, but would only have 15 acres of corn... What would be our best option?
John Deere 3950/3960/3970/3975, New Holland 892/FP230/240. Pretty sure they can all have 2 row heads. But they're all pull type, and generally should be powered by a 150hp or more machine.
Hi from Europe, bellow you can see how do it professionals in Czech Republic, Central Europe. Its pretty similar - big difference is that we in Europe use for silage so called "Sillage holes" = a place with 3-side concrete walls. This guys from this village of Smržice have a lot of cool agro-videos: ruclips.net/video/hWp0fTDuitg/видео.html
yes but i think they wouldt add more weight in the muddy field. it sucks if the truck stalls and have to be pulled ore pusd out of the field. its quicker-safer to load say half-3/4 loads if the silo is nearby
I could watch this all day would love to get back to it again but at 47 maybe bit to late ! 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜 thankyou for posting god bless you all
You guys are very good at your Job !!
Very good video! This is the same way farmers do it here in Southern Manitoba! No tractors and wagons. Man that’s a massive dairy farm!!
Been watching your videos every year. 👍

Great job as always, so cool to see how the real dairies do it.
Dylan Van Straalen are the others fake then
I have to say, seeing 5 machines at once on a silage pit is a first for me!! HOLY SILAGE MECCA!
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😜👏👏👏👏👏
I absolutely love this video.. Wish i had a job like this.
They're always looking for help. Well farmers. If you like to work and work hard they'll hire you.
Crazy cool. I am surprised highway trucks do that well in the field.
So amazing. The Music is Perfect for the Video

Ich hatte so eine Arbeit im letzten Herbst es war sehr schön
I can only dream and wish to work, live on that farm or similar like that. Awesome job.
Jest look at all those tires makes my back hurt
That must of been one heck of a job
Is the huge barn seen at 5:30ish in the video just a cow barn? Looks a lot different than Vermont that’s for sure!
Emory Richardson yes it is, that one covers 19 acres
Aaron Zenner how many cows do you milk?
wow! How many acres did you run? great looking video, i look forward to the hay harvest! (is it alfalfa you run? it looks like it). Thanks!
kubtractor we are just contracted to do the harvesting for these dairies, most of the ground we cover is owned by other farmers.
@@aaronzenner9888А где это происходит?.
Cool video! I wish we had that much feed inventory!! Haha
On FS17 this and hay is all i harvest. Seems to pay off more at the Bio plant and feeding the livestock. Awesome video 👍 👍..

Good video hope you make more. Keep up the good work. Greeting from Nebraska
I miss it I was part of this massive operation 2018 was my last year with fosse's
Is this farm considered als big or is it normal in your region?
Greetings from Germany
tobsi 1234 yes, these dairies are quite a bit bigger than most in our area
Dairies most are ginormous. But also they rent most of the ground or buy the corn from the farmer to chop which is what the ones in my area do. It’s very cool to see
It's from Corn field truckers ?
How many tonnes per hectare are you getting from that corn/maize? Or in any other unit, I can convert it myself.
bazgino we we average 23-28 US tons per acre normally
How many cows?
No subtitles or dialog... but I sure learned lot just by watching.
Christ alive thats alot of feed!! How many cows in this place? I likr machinery and all but im a cow man, would love to work in one of those big dairy's in the US....also, does it take like a week to cover those pits or like 1000 migrant workers or something?

Deere makes small pull-behind two and three row forage choppers that are made to feed into a forage wagon.

all this goes into beef production ? or milk and Beef?
A Riverview Dairy?
Wow awesome video!!
That's a freestall dairy farm right?
Que bonito video lastima que eso solo pase en USA
This sure looks like Riverview Dairy in Morris Minnesota. That's the way they like there piles
Travis Steinkraus these fairies belong to Riverview, they are about 45 minutes from their home location
Thought so we also chop for them in Nebraska
How many inch rows are those
Zachary Saurini just about everything we chop is on 22” rows
Aaron Zenner how many cows
Da bekommt man lust selber mal nach Amerika und mit zu häckseln.

Is this one by Morris mn?
TK these are near Murdock MN, but they are in the same system as the ones by Morris
Meus Parabéns, Muito Bonito
I have all these machines in FS19
Why do they get wieghed I wonder
Track tons/acre if not buying. If buying often the dairy pays by the tons recieved, corn grower will pay for harvest
Very nice Video
