@@delson007. He's both. He does the shooting and the editing for a lot of videos, which is why the It's Alive with Brad videos are edited differently than other videos. Brad alludes to it a lot in his videos too ("cut that out vinny," "make sure to include this one vinny," "edit x in here vinny," etc.). Also, at 7:57 of this video (and in many parts of other videos), there are frequently editor's notes. I doubt the editor was standing around with Carla waiting for the caramel.

Carla is BOSS. I have so much respect for this wonderful chef. One of my personal favorite videos from the Bon Appetit test kitchen is the cheese journey Molly and Carla embarked upon. The sisterly bonding was a delightful complement to the final conclusion of their collaboration.

to get the baking paper to fit better into the crust for the ball bearing/ whatever you use, scrunch it up into a ball then unravel it. its then more malleable and will fit into the corners much better. :)

Go dab some Δ9 isolate and tell me if that feels like what you think cannabis feels like to you. It's a pretty major difference without the entourage effects from CBD(and the various other cannabinoids, but primarily CBD) and the various terpenes.

As a non-native speaker I find myself rather confused sometimes as I a see native speakers make changes like that I was thinking [how many times I must've embarassed myself by saying "squeezed" omg] but then I remembered that Carla often do this lol
@@lf546 honestly, native English speakers make similar mistakes to what you described all the time. Hopefully, no one makes you feel embarrassed because you are trying your best.
I made this recipe, but there were a few problems: the crust cracked after it was baked, so I had to do an alternative to cover up the spots and the caramel became so hard that I couldn’t cut through it and had to put it above boiling water to make it melt. I wouldn’t make it again, not worth the effort and time put into it just to become like a basic caramel chocolate candy like at the end
Marais fan 4 life ofcourse I’m allowed to, at the end I’m making it aren’t I, I have years of baking experience and I’m just saying that it isn’t worth the time and effort because it wasn’t even special or even tasted good. I ate it just so I don’t throw away food.

I made this a couple months back and my caramel turned out too runny. I don't really know what went wrong but I'll try it again. Even though the caramel was oozing out back and front the tarte was still everyone's highlight desert.
I am so used to Tasty, but what I love about this is that she teaches you the recipe and she also teaches you why the ingredients works and contribute to making the dish a better dessert and what I love most about it is that the things that they teach you, you can use this methods to make your other dishes even better. Where as Tasty only teaches about the dishes in Tasty 101,

Honestly, a chocolate tart can be exceedingly simple. Just do it without the caramel. Doing a regular shortbread crust will also easier.

if the pie weight is metal instead of like, dried beans, does that affect the cooking time? Since metal is conducting heat and the beans are not...?
Agnes Gröndahl beans do conduct heat, just maybe not as much as metal.
I think it doesn’t change the cooking time as the metal doesn’t get hotter than the surrounding temp in the oven.
