    Shout out to BA for becoming hands down the best online repository of cooking videos. Not only are all the recipes solid and on point, but everyone you've chosen to feature has great personality and their own style. Also, Vinny doesn't get enough love for making these videos fun to watch. Editors never the respect they are due. You do great work man.

      @@delson007. He's both. He does the shooting and the editing for a lot of videos, which is why the It's Alive with Brad videos are edited differently than other videos. Brad alludes to it a lot in his videos too ("cut that out vinny," "make sure to include this one vinny," "edit x in here vinny," etc.). Also, at 7:57 of this video (and in many parts of other videos), there are frequently editor's notes. I doubt the editor was standing around with Carla waiting for the caramel.

I wouldn’t make it again, not worth the effort and time put into it just to become like a basic caramel chocolate candy like at the end

    if the pie weight is metal instead of like, dried beans, does that affect the cooking time? Since metal is conducting heat and the beans are not...?

    • @tarawasserstein
      @tarawasserstein 6 лет назад +2

      Agnes Gröndahl beans do conduct heat, just maybe not as much as metal.

    • @creefer6670
      @creefer6670 6 лет назад +2

      I think it doesn’t change the cooking time as the metal doesn’t get hotter than the surrounding temp in the oven.

    • @agnesgrondahl1117
      @agnesgrondahl1117 6 лет назад

      Tomer Hirschler some recipes say to adjust the time if it’s metal or beans so I’m just confused I think 😅😅

    • @creefer6670
      @creefer6670 6 лет назад +1

      Agnes Gröndahl oh lol maybe because the metal while not getting hotter than the oven, the metal does heat quicker. I’m no chef so I don’t want to lead you wrong haha. But I guess experimenting is what needs to be done in cooking/baking sometimes

    I made this a couple months back and my caramel turned out too runny. I don't really know what went wrong but I'll try it again. Even though the caramel was oozing out back and front the tarte was still everyone's highlight desert.

    I am so used to Tasty, but what I love about this is that she teaches you the recipe and she also teaches you why the ingredients works and contribute to making the dish a better dessert and what I love most about it is that the things that they teach you, you can use this methods to make your other dishes even better. Where as Tasty only teaches about the dishes in Tasty 101,
