The unlimited damage buff is nice for early to mid game and still struggles versus anything fortified, with a lot of HP or just a freeplay ceramic, but for a tower that costs 27k it's a pretty good deal! Have you guys gotten to check out the Bomb Blitz after the buffs? How is it?
I just do this map with helicopters because you can build them off to the left and be able to upgrade and access them at all times. Also, I’m surprised you didn’t upgrade your village to give the other bonuses to your primary towers which effects the cannon tower. I’ve also gotten into the habit of getting 5xx and xx5 mermaid towers to buff units endgame as well forcing Moab’s to go around in an extra circle in range of my other towers. They also buff nearby towers pierce and your Hero’s ability cooldowns.
My take on bottom path mermonkey is that the stalling is best on shorter maps, where you could be almost doubling the track length for the bloons. On longer maps I feel like traditional stalling is stronger though, such as x4x ninja, 024 glue, x4x ice etc
@@nicjoy4407low key middle path ice I just don’t like, the ability feels like it lasts for only a second or two. Idk if there’s something I’m missing but it feels like worse bloon sabo, feel like I use it more for freezing water than actual slowdown
@@megarotom1590 Yeah it's a little split in function because it has the slowdown in radius on non-moab bloons which practically doesn't matter past 80, and the ice on water as part of the power budget so the ability has to be worse. I think unless you can get value out of 2 of those effects it's not as good as a sabo. Also sabo is 15 second slow with a 60s cooldown, snowstorm has 30s cooldown so can be better on shorter maps where you need it up more often. Overall I think sabo > snowstorm but snowstorm isn't completely overshadowed

Bomb Blitz and Blooncineration seems to be a really good combo now! Especially with striker as the hero. BB can carry the early game and blooncin can clear up its fortification problem.
Its kinda like the x3x dart. Its decent when you get it...but then doesn't go anywhere. For me, there's just too much of a gap between T4 and T5 top path bomb shooter.
The buffs were necessary. The tower/path struggles early, against black balloons, and against blimps. Its good in its specific role in close range, but I hardly ever use it anymore. When there are towers that pop all bloon types and/or have global range and/or do just as well against blimps why would I use this?
I think the reason they keep buffing this tower is chimps, half the reason you use this tower in any other mode is the screen wipe factor but in chimps you lack that so if it doesn’t have a strong base then what’s the point. I still don’t think this will be a staple of chimps like early game druid or moab glue support but it definitely will be a option that you can make work.
Since the 44 Update i played more and more with the bombtower. Today i played a solid r90 midgame and was like... did it always had this much range with primiere expertise..? Thank you, NOW i know

I assume xx4 mortar or x2x alchemist would work well with the bomb blitz. xx4 mortar especially with striker, and alch for buffing bomb blitz?
doesnt xx3 remove the frags and change them to bombs, kind of negating the buff to frags for this path? (still useful for top path)
If they give back bomb blitz fortified damage it would actually be a good tower

I just use 2-0-4 bomb shooters. 2 or 3 within the radius of a monkey village 4-2-0 do quite a lot of pops for a low cost
And I also use other different primary towers in the radius of the village. All are good tbh
