I think it’s different because they are future owners of the company when he dies either way. So they basically have to make it work or his company will be sold and then who knows what happens to it
*hires all children* lol. He’d probably argue he very carefully planned and observed their onboarding and ensured their integration was not given nor disruptive. But honestly it’s good Dave brought them on. He’s strong headed and his employees fear him. You can always see Rachel challenging him and it’s really good for the company. My guess is his son does the same: but the title definitely sounds funny given the circumstances lol
I would not even hire friends of a family or any of the family members even if it was the President/Founder/Vice President/CEO's son, brother, sister, etc. because of the fact that family owned companies are really toxic once the company gets going, the friends and family probably have "zero" work experience in the field (namely IT), there is no chances of a promotion for the "neutral" company employees (non-family and non-friend members of the company), and the friends and family members will probably get to stay even if they did a whole lot wrong (like if they cost the company some money) while the neutral employees would probably get let go for having one strand of hair out of place (basically no reason for letting someone go)... Bottom line if you want to start your own company, work as an independent contractor or as a sole proprietor (I rather fire myself than have someone else that I don't know...who I probably get lucky to talk to once a year...who sits in the "easy chair" all day...do it simply for the reason they rather hire someone they "know" want in my spot) where you have 100% control.
I like DR a lot, but he takes it SO personally when people leave his company. It's not healthy, IMO. People have their own priorities and he shouldn't expect that those priorities are his company.
It does not sound like a good fit, given little bro drifts in and out, and place to place. Dave's stance on re-hires is at least something to be cautious about (however, companies have re-hired or have taken me back in as a temp, but that was my work ethic). That happened quite a few times. But little bro in this story does not sound like he has that, he is coat-tail boy.
"We almost never hire family... Unless it's mine." There, I fixed it.
Dave hired both of his children in his company…
Yeah, lol.
I am sure they weren’t unseeing to his expectations, so what is your point?
*3 His son, Rachel, and the other girl that handles the non profit or something.
At least one son-in-law works for him, too.

I could tell two sentences into his spiel that Tyler was a sales guy, lol
This guy has a distorted view of his position in that company. He mentions a new hire as a peer, he is low on that totem pole

Dave hired all of his children and his son in-law, Winston. I don't understand this take...

He sounds like hes reading lol
Clearly he wrote this underhanded ad of his company lol

My job hires family over anyone and it works out great. Wemt from basement to selling for hundreds of millions
I can see that almost all of the people that have commented did not watch the whole video.
Hasn't Dave hired a lot of his family?
You are not your brother’s keeper!
