Congrats Dan on 100 lessons - great achievement. Tim is not only a great player, but a wonderful teacher also. I love the way he can take some of the most complex concepts like adjusting cube decisions to match scores and holding game cubes and explain is a simplified fashion. Lessons from him would be valuable.
of course, but Tim Cross states that XG was his main source of tuition. It thus follows that it can continue to be the main teacher of countless more aspiring GMs. It is clear therefore that the main beneficiaries of any improvements to xg will be GMs thus widening the gap rather than narrowing it as most of us want.@@BackgammonisBeautiful
@@TC66Backgammon Not totally contradictory, but there is no burning need for improvement as suggested. Xg is, as admitted by TC, the best player in the world, thus for 99.9% of players it is still the best tutor. XG was a good enough training tool to get the current GMs to where they are, 'improving' it will simply widen the gap between GMs and the rest of us. Thus, for the rest of us (the majority) XG is fine as it is.
Nice to see an all time UK great on the channel
love Tim, great guy, takes a loss like a champ too :)
enjoyed learning more about his BG story

We will all miss your videos Dan. Hope you´ll return with more at some point.
Thank you
Where can I find info on Tim’s Traffic Light System and race formula?
In the video, otherwise you'll need to tame lessons with him
If I'm not as good as Tim at the end I'm suing the channel
To begin by saying that XG is the best player in the world and then to end by saying that it needs to improve is rather contradictory.
Even the best players in the world can get better, no?

Hi , mobiusklein why do you think this is contradictory, surely the best at anything can always get better?
