For some reason, Buck hasn't ever received the recognition he deserves. They guy is an amazing guitarist. I'd put him in the top 20 of all time. His guitar is the signature sound of BOC
Hands down one of the most mind blowing solo I’ve ever seen. I have no words to express how amazed I am and how talented is this man. All Time Classic ✨✨
Buck Dharma is one of the greats...borne of the time of guitar gods. I like his boldness as a player. He makes a solo take off & soar & always rock hard. His solo from "Subhuman" is one of my ATF solos. The song is all 70's prog-metal, but his solo is all experimental 60's San Francisco. It gets me every time. I don't know what today's budding rock guitar players listen to. But if they wanna rock, it should include Buck Dharma & old BOC. He'll melt your ears, and then your eyes.
I was at this show... I highly recommend checking out the DVD: A long Days Night. It is amazing. I just saw BOC this week and they are still just as good.
Buck/Don is such an underrated guitarist. I've always wondered why he still hasnt gotten the appreciation he deserves yet. Oh well, he'll always be one of my favourites :)
guys is happy as a pig in shit he doesn't have to deal with being over famous & people who now how to play appreciate his talent what the hell more could you want?
I agree that he hasn't. I think he was limited by the eccentric, non-commercial nature of BOC music, BOC's unfortunate commitment to comic book culture lyricism, and poor management.

It’s because he plays a weird neck-less Swiss cheese guitar! Jk.
One of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Is BÖC even in the Rock & Roll Hall of Shame yet?
people like you deserve a reward for posting buck like this. he's underrated.. look at this solo. that's magic

Buck one of the unsung guitar heroes. The guy always had his own style. One of my heroes.

He reminds me of Rory Gallagher.
gotta love the swiss cheese guitar
allen's solo is actually pretty rockin in this version two, a little more laid back of course but it sounds sick
Amen
Interesting syncopation in early parts of his solo.
right on brother
Bruno Kirby on guitar!!!!!
Kileer player...sweet guitar!
The beggining sounded a bit like those ".... shreds" things, but then it becomes amazing.
Buck is an amazing guitarist.
you are sssssssssssssssooooooooooo right...
Which is true? 1) More notes is better? or, 2) Better notes is more?
Since Buck has both the question has been answered.
@nucleardude11 Where did you hear that?
Hundredth like
Is that Dennis Dunaway on bass?
Danny Miranda ...
yup the ole'
'cheeseberger'
When and where was this taken?
Looks like circa 2002 .... not sure if it's the Chicago gig ??
Buck fucking wails. End of story.
Wait sorry I was looking at the rhythm guitarist (even though Dennis is a bassist), yeah the bassist doesn't look like Dennis.
great player....nice guitar work but song needs more cowbell

Yeah, real shame they chose to sing about something interesting instead of drinking/partying all night & women troubles ....
Killer bass line...interesting how Buck is falling apart on the fast stuff while most of the thrash guys play at this speed for most of their career.
Buck plays like Swiss cheesel
