Informative and to the point, explained in almost 5 minutes same info that other videos took twice as long to cover. Don’t know why google always promotes the long winded British tutorials to the top.
Can you use it to fly in cockpit, and then Have a window to see yourself from outside the plane as you fly? I miss that feature from the old Microsoft fight sims.
All I have wanted to do since the inception of MSFS 2020, was to be able to move an "external" view to my 2nd or 3rd monitor. And do this while keeping my cockpit view on my 1st monitor. You have been able to do this in FSX, P3D for ever. Is this achievable? Thanks for the tutorial.
When you have multiple monitors and you bring up a new aircraft, you have to reconfigure the left and right window to align with the center window. I would think that flight Simulator should be able remember each rendering window for each aircraft. Am I missing anything?
@Gatcomb, thanks for the video. I've been stretching the main window to my second monitor ever since the sim was released, but the FPS takes a big hit, so I rarely use it. So, it's not truly a new Experimental feature...
Thanks for this video. As noted in above comments, it would seem you need to tweak these settings per aircraft. Also you can’t fix the view in one window say you overhead panel. Also if you change the zoom in a window it applies to all windows. Have I got this right?
I've been waiting forever for them to fix this problem before I was wling to purchase FS 2020. In FSX I had a monitor on the left and a monitor on the right and two in the front and so I simply created a another view and dragged it over to each monitor and then used the hat switch to create a left view and a right view as in a real world airplane. I was never sold on monitor stretching. It's completely unrealistic.
Thank you for posting this. Question: is there any way that two windows can display different views (say cockpit and external as is the case with P3D), or is it only possible to display the same view in each open window?
How can i move the plane view from the middel of the screns , on 2 monitors setup , external view , i can't even see the runway when i land , please help.
How do you set up the game for instrument tool tips like you have? I've spent a lot of time messing with each of the accessibility settings and cannot get just a simple label and readout. Or do you need a mod for that?
I'm using a 3080ti suprim x 12g triple monitors already but when I add new window it crashes game! I have new Nvidia driver etc but can't even get it to work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong pls ? 🙏
Good question. I come from XPlane 3 mon system and window location are saved. I think you have to go to windowed mode and relocate each time you reboot. unbelievably stupid. not sure. just another oversite by asobo. I can't find a way to boot msfs into 3 mons.
@@DownTheRabbit-Hole When MSFS catches up and gets the 'Master/Slave', 'Multi-mon/Computer' thing on it will be more pro, and amature sim-pit builders move over. Then it will be FU**** Awesome!! Till then I will keep both sims one from training and one for fun.

Thanks, all these quick tutorials gives us a look at the capabilities of MSFS! !! !!!

Definitely tempting to get a USB-C monitor or something and use it to display my instrument pack at all times.

I was watching a couple other videos and it’s way easier than how you went about it

Great addition!
How to set the zoom, without affects the other window camera? Does have a mod for that or some tip??
What program do you use to move windows without interacting with the others?
Thank you and nice tutorial !
There is no EXPERIMENTAL Button in my General Options. How can I get this?
Are you using Sim Update 10? (it's a beta version)

I have the same card and it crashes. Just purchased a 3rd monitor. 3rd monitor duplicates the first new view. This youtube toon isn't very helpful.
Thank you
So you showed how, but not why, or how this really could be helpful.
The monitors you can fill with a perspective view of the cockpit based on the location of the monitor adds realism and clarity
for people like me who have triple monitor setups but mismatched resolutions so just expanding the main window doesn't work
@@pkoya341 neither are mine, I have 1920 x 1080 secondary and 3840 x 2160 main monitor although one is taller it still helps imo.
Is there a way to lock windows on monitors so when msfs boots up the set windows always come up?
