His game intelligence is out of this world. Probably that's why he's so versatile. Look how he reads the situation and puts himself into position at 1:19, seconds before the ball is even launched!
I saw a video of a 2012 (?) taranaki game that he had a pretty sick intercept try in. I'd love to find a way to get a hold of games from back then, and also some of the footage of him playing 7s
At 10? Carter and Wilkinson are in that conversation for the professional era. Wilkinson had a great peak, and was perhaps the best defensively but didn't have to be the same level of leader and suffered so much from injuries. Carter might have been the best, but played in a team so good that they won the world cup with a 4th choice fly half.
100% agree. Carter, Wilkinson and Barrett are easily the greatest three 10s ever. No one else is even close. Barrett would be a top 5 All Black back of all time as well. With Lomu, Carter & Cullen.
Never should have taken Beauden out of 10. Play the best players in their best positions. Too much experimenting after 2015 ruined the ABs and they still keep trying to do it
What this video does not show is how many tries were scored by the opponents, because Barrett chased after an intercept ball, leaving a gap in the defensive line; or how many balls he had knocked on in an attempt to intercept a ball; and also how many penalties were awarded due to him not making a genuine attempt to intercept the ball, etc...
Mitch Hardy, who played for the Brumbies and the Wallabies, scored a heap of intercept tries. Reasonably quick winger, but he had insane anticipation of the opposition pass.
He "was" good at times. Not a kickers bum hole though. He's past his use by date now so ABs need to let him go. You all seem to forget he could be as bad as he could be good.
His interception out the back flick for the Canes is genuinely the coolest thing I’ve ever seen on a rugby field
the only competition is what he and Nehe did vs the Boks
Yeah man. 'I'll just intercept it and then no look throw it out the back door no problem'. Insanity man!
While it's very hard to disagree, I think TJ's diving intercept try for the canes has gotta be up there with both cool an amazing intercept.

Yeah man it's like the brother is psychic or something 😵
the pure pace of this guy has always amazed me
intercept for him means bye bye
It did! But I have to, unfortunately, say that he's lost a lot of his pace in the last 2 years. Still amazing though.
He’s so good! Can’t believe how many caps he has though… thought he was way younger
Love how the video started and ended with the same game
Just like that same game started and ended with his intercepts. In his 100th game
Yawn...
I don’t
I love the way in his hurricanes intercept offload the commentator shouts "Jordie Barret..." 🤣🤣🤣
Prime barrett was absolutely untouchable. His gas was unreal
He never lost a step imo. Still one of the top 5 players in the world. And an all time great AB in the same light as Carter, Lomu & Cullen.
is.. is unreal.
wheels and brain : deadly combo.
Beaudy is one of the smartest fly-half ever played

next do all his grubber kicks and regathers, I've rarely seen him fail at those. Supreme skills on the ground.
Love seeing this guy hit top gear. Absolute excitement machine
Simply brilliant. The guy should be arrested for game poaching!
My brother has legs like Usain Bolt! Put it in his hands and watch the goddam afterburners light up!
Beauden’s pace is unbelievable
Was.
I hope can stay with the ABs for a long long long time 😂 absolute magic ✊
Crickeys didn't realize how much intercept tries he actually got mate
LEGEND BEAUDY ABSOLUTE LEGEND! 🫡🫡 🙏
Beaudens one of the best of interceptions!
The commentator called Beauden Barrett "Jordie" in the second intercept. They do look very similar.
Love it!
He's an absolute beast 💪
Let’s see Benji Marshal do that flick pass 😂 both legends 🤙🤙
Unreal😮
just asking generally where does he rank all time. My favourite player for years but curious about how he stacks up against other players

@@kanecampbell3145your clueless bro show Johnny Sexton some respect g mega disrespect bruv
I’m only here for the intercept that leads to Jonathan Davies chasing down Ngani Laumape. EPIC.
I was at that game. Ended up being a draw at Eden Park. Very rare.
Unreal BB!!!😂
It's the speed that follows, after he steels the balls good luck catching him😂😂, he's probably one of the fastest10 if not the fastest.

Beauden The 50cal Barrett
Barret intercept king and Waratahs halfback Jake Gordon the prince
I guess you have never met Jean De Villiers from the springboks...😀
@@pietervanniekerk4453 yeah… there’s a clip of him giving an intercept away in this vid!!
na yu the bro beauden

Love Beauden Barrett but Bryan Habana is the undisputed intercept king!!
Mitch Hardy, who played for the Brumbies and the Wallabies, scored a heap of intercept tries. Reasonably quick winger, but he had insane anticipation of the opposition pass.
As a kiwi, I have to agree with you there
Not anymore....

Wheels of old kiwi cart horse are buckling.no longer a threat.tier 2 team now
They are losing consistently. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
