I love watching and listening to you MIchelle, you don’t leave any details out and that is so very important when ordering online, especially clothing…trousers, yoga pants etc, the rise and where the waist lies and all the other measurement type things., this is so so important when you can’t try things on prior to purchasing. I know that I rely on reviews when ordering on line so you are AMAZING!
Thank you for sharing with us!

The problem that I had with Madewell jeans was that their straight leg was still too wide at the ankle. I will def try Mother. It looks slimmer + it has the shorter inseam. Wish it had a darker wash.

If you research it, Levis will tell you to never wash your jeans. I used to stress over washing the color out of my jeans and was always rinsing in vinegar, etc to try to keep the color. The last few years I began noticing than no matter how expensive the jeans, dark rinse will color transfer onto the backs of white sneakers, light colored bags, and light upholstery, so now, I tend to wash my black jeans and a few pair of dark (dress) jeans infrequently and the rest after a few wears. I am not a fan of jeans with high content of Lycra. The higher the cotton content the better. They will be tight after you wash them but will stretch to fit your body. High rise, 98% Cotten suck it all in and are my favorite. I never liked ripped jeans, but consider washed jeans with maybe a tiny bit of fray in pocket edges to be just the right distress for me. A boomer, I feel like the true distressing that comes from wearing your jeans is far more attractive than fake distressing and whiskering.

@@mscathyg7270 Truth be told, Levi, who invented the blue Jean, didn’t have you and me in mind. They were designed for cowboys and ranchers and were meant to withstand many hard wears with no access to laundry and probably no other pair of trousers to replace them. We are lucky to have those things, and if we didn’t, we would be lucky to have a pair of jeans. I’m sure that in his day, Levi Strauss would be appalled that someone would spend thrice the price for a pair of trousers that were deliberately faded and ripped).

Great video! I love the Mother brand. I have a few pairs-one is stretchy and the others have less stretch. I am 5’2” and I am really interested in trying their petite line. I have a pair of the Dazzler straight leg in a different wash and those might be my favorite! I think you would like the Insider style also as they are fitted through the legs and are a slight kick-out boot cut. I have a pair of those, but I am not a fan of the raw step hem, so I had them cut and evened out. Quality jeans really do hold their shape; however, I only wash maybe every 3-4 times, turn them inside out and wash in cold water and dry on low for 20 min or so. They are still damp and I hang them to finish drying. I have read that high heat will damage the fibers making the jeans more likely to stay stretched out. I would love to see you do a white jeans video comparing different brands. Thanks for the great video!

Good video, Your explanations are always precise and clear. Personally, I like wearing democracy jeans. These jeans come in petite, regular and plus size. The democracy jeans fit my body shape perfectly. I feel so comfortable when I’m wearing them. I usually buy them in Nordstrom rack. These jeans embrace my body in a positive way. I personally like mid rise jeans, straight leg, ankle, and ankle slimmer. They retained the shape even after many washing. I only have positive reviews on these jeans. I love wearing jeans. Jeans are comfortable casual, neutral in terms of color, any color top can be worn with jeans. No matter what age you are you could look great in jeans. This is why I like jeans is there easy to maintain they have versatility, and they offer great value for the price, offering more bang for your dollar. Thanks 👍

Flares are my favourite. I also like an original hem on my jeans. Otherwise, it ruins the look. Not every tailor/seamstress will do it because it's more labour intensive or they just don't know how.

Cute stuff! I don't wash my jeans...unless I get them dirty in the garden or spill something on them. Even when I do wash them, I spot clean and rinse them by hand. I hang them to dry. Washing in the machine, and especially the heat from the dryer, weakens the fibers and causes them to keep losing shape. I love my Levis. I do buy 95% of my jeans used.

I’m not sure how I found your channel cause I am not petite. But, I do buy petite length pants when I want a crop or ankle length pants. A 29 inch inseam is ankle length for me. I will order a boot cut petite jean to wear it as a kick crop. My inseam is 34 and if I wear heels, I will wear a 36 inch inseam on my jeans.

I would love a video of great jeans for small butts! I'm similar size as you and have been searching for straight through hip/thigh and widen out toward the bottom (preferably dark grey or black wash)- I have tried Mom jeans from AE and Levi's Wedgie and they look fine in the front but the bum is all saggy/bunchy material. I have several pairs of skinnies and slim flares that hug the butt- I just want the more trouser style that is flattering in the back.
