This collection was a miss for me. I love pastels but the orly spring color pass satisfied that craving for me. The only one I picked up was Sage Simulation. And I agree with you on that weird, foil-y, sparkly pink - yuck! It reminds me of cheapie plastic girls toys, like the ones you find at the dollar store. Idk why lol
Totally agree on all points, including loving Orly’s collection! Orly is consistently INCREDIBLE, both with their shade choices and with their ALWAYS amazing formulas. I find OPI to be kind of…. How should I say… hmm: OPI’s formula is what I dislike in nail polish but love in a pizza: thin and crispy.
Thanks for this review! I enjoyed your comments on formula and application. We are used to excellence from OPI in those areas, but I guess everyone can have an "off" collection now and then.
I was excited about the creme pastels but you've seriously made me reconsider picking them up! Thank goodness that Achievement Unlocked was good at least! The colors are so pretty so it's a real bummer the formula is wonky. I'm not a fan of shimmers but the silver shimmer in Quest for Quartz is gorgeous, I do need to get that one!
Thanks for getting this collection reviewed for us and this video so quickly. Loved the lime color, formula is questionable as ya said. That lavender was so pretty and formula looked good.
Sage Simulation and Can't CTRL Me are my absolute favorite polishes. Not just in this collection, but overall. I also bought Quest for Quartz, but I didn't get to try it out - I gifted it to my mom for Christmas. It is definitely very pretty.
It’s so fun to have my hobbies collide in this collection! What I do like with this is that to get a unique skin in game you actually get a physical product (that i will actually use) in return. Been wearing You Had Me At Halo all week and it’s refusing to chip! Have Sage Simulation waiting for my next mani. Good to know the crème’s are difficult since I was trying to figure out which 2 to grab from Amazon for the Halo Infinite skin. Leaning towards the lilac and that red shimmer, too many purples in my collection for the darker purple.
@@PolishLabRat after seeing the HoloTaco launch yesterday I’m very smitten for a lavender/lilac shade now and this one will win out for an extra Halo skin 🤩
I actually like a few from this collection, including the oranges and the shimmery blue. The only time I bought OPI was about 7 years ago and those were very patchy and hard to work with so I have avoided OPI. Interesting that you say the formula is usually good. Thank you for your review. Britt
Hey Britt, yes things have changed thru the years and the majority of their formulas have been great for me. That’s why these were kinda confusing to me hahaha
Oooh I see a couple here I’d like to pick up! I’m trying to pick up shades that I don’t already have… it’s hard 🤣 I love the light blue, the pink with silver shimmer is a YES! You had me at halo is absolutely stunning!!! I need these x
Oh no!!! That’s a shame some Of these colors didn’t pass the formula check. They look so pretty, but if I get cream polishes from now on, they better be some amazing formulas. 💅 awesome review!
Pixel Dust wasn’t my favorite either. It made the nail looked stained. I didn’t mind the formula of these and I actually really enjoyed the collection. Idk, normally OPI is whatever to me but I really liked these.
Yeah I’m glad I bought them. Not regretting it at all. I can make the colors work without issue (we usually can right? Haha) but other people might not so they were weird enough for me to have to mention it, just as fyi, but it wouldn’t deter me from buying them if I like the color hahaha 😍
I ended up getting 6 of these polishes. I thought it was a pretty typical OPI collection, but felt very drawn to them this time for some reason! I really think Heart and Con-soul is pretty interesting for OPI. So is Pixel Dust, but they really missed the mark on that color… coral always looks bad on me though. I hope they try that formula again with another color. Thanks for the review!!
I appreciate your swatch and review. What's up with the wonky brush? As a whole, the collection is pretty. I'm being more intentional about buying polishes that I really love. That being said, my faves from this collection are Quest for Quartz and Achievement Unlocked. I'll have to make sure there are no dupes in my collection first. TFS!
Seems like OPI is playing with the pastel formula trying to find something easy to apply. I applaud the move but sounds it needed more quality control time. I'm looking at the Quartz one.
This collection has been soo hit & miss so far from the reviews I've seen. Luckily, there are a lot of beautiful classic pastels coming down the line for spring 🌼
I don't like Pixel Dust either. I'm not a fan of foils and I don't like the base color in that type of finish. I did order Quest for Quartz and I have my eye on N00Berry but someone said it's a dupe for something I have. Such a beautiful purple though. Same for the pastels and now that you've said they have watery formulas, I'm definitely not getting them. I'm looking forward to receiving Quest for Quartz though. I like that one a lot.
I really like Quest and purchased that one. The formula was fine for me and I’m wearing it at one coat, but my nails are REALLY short. I filed them down short to begin with and then proceeded to ram them into every hard surface in the house and broke a few. *scowls* Anyway. I’m contemplating Achievement Unlocked, maybe Simulation, but I really don’t like most of this collection, particularly the frosty lookin’ ones. QfQ is BOMB, tho.
This was how i felt about the Grease collection- it was so disappointing!' i wanted a "hicky from Kinicky" (spelling???) polish! Also, that pixel dust polish was soooo old looking-
I so wanted to love this collection because of the theme (I am also a PC gamer) but they are mostly nopes for me. Heart & Consoul and Halo are the only ones I might go for. Definite *sadface*
The potential for some real crazy colors was there with that theme… I still do like it tho, it could have just been a little more crazy and theme would have allowed it 😂
Meh is how I feel about this whole collection, lol. That second polish was atrocious. I don't know who that would look good on 😬 thanks for the beautiful swatches!
I am not that impressed with the spring collection. I would only wear maybe 1 blue and 2 purples you like. Seems kinda like nothing new. Few of the colors just not flattering at all anyone. This is why I wait for reviews.
I appreciate how you differentiate between color preferences and the formula performance. So helpful!
Yw!! :)

😂😂😂 I mean in the bottle it looks cute; but on me it was like ugh

Agreed haha - I’m still not sorry I bought it tho haha

I think there are better formulated pastels out there honestly, but achievement unlocked is a go. And the Quartz one also a go for me :)
I appreciate your honesty in your review. I am waiting for 5 from this collection to arrive.
Thanks for watching!
The deeper purple is so pretty, it's almost the same color as Spyro!
True!!! Hahha
I sooo appreciate your honesty with formulas. 😘
Thank you!
Thanks for getting this collection reviewed for us and this video so quickly. Loved the lime color, formula is questionable as ya said. That lavender was so pretty and formula looked good.
Yw! And thanks for watching 💕🥰
I bought many of these polishes. Such a pretty collection! Thank you so much for the beautiful swatches! XOXO Heidi
Tysm Heidi! 🥰🥰

Quest for Quartz is so so so pretty! Check Ulta, they were having a huge sale today, maybe u find it! (Some OPIs were like under $3 😱)
@@PolishLabRat thank you, I will!

I enjoyed this review. A few favorites in there for me.

Yeah those are good ones 👍🏼👍🏼
I was looking forward to the peach and orange. Glad I watched your review, these won’t be coming home with me😊
Haha sorry! I just don’t think they were the best. Def seen better! 🤍
Oh no!!! That’s a shame some
Of these colors didn’t pass the formula check. They look so pretty, but if I get cream polishes from now on, they better be some amazing formulas. 💅 awesome review!
That’s the thing. We have seen way too many amazing creams to have to settle for less than awesome formulations :(
Thank you for this great review! I think I’m passing on this collection. I like you had me at halo so I’ll consider that one.
Thanks for watching!! 💕💕
Pixel Dust wasn’t my favorite either. It made the nail looked stained.

Wow. Totally not expecting this collection to be meh.
I think if I do get a polish from this particular collection it'll be Quest for Quartz. Tfs
Thanks for watching!

Hi! Love all your content! The brush in my Can’t Ctrl Me bottle is messed up exactly as yours 😞
Omg wow, what a coincidence haha
I’m getting most of these shades, I’m a gamer so I’m mainly getting these for the names and theme but I also love a lot of the colors
Exactly 😂 I was gonna get them regardless lmaoooo

Yeah those two are a yes for me hahaha
Are you from Miami? If so nice! We never really have anyone doing videos from here. If not that’s cool too, I like how real you are.
I am from Miami :) thank u!
@@PolishLabRat haha that's awesome! I figured, I know how my Miami people talk. Keep it real girl. I enjoy watching your videos.

The Quartz is nice!! 😍😍
I’m so torn cause I really like the sky blue Can’t CTRL Me, but I’ve never touched an X-box my whole life, just Nintendo and Sony consoles 🤣🤣
Hahahahaha
This collection has been soo hit & miss so far from the reviews I've seen. Luckily, there are a lot of beautiful classic pastels coming down the line for spring 🌼
I haven’t watched any reviews on purpose so that I didn’t bias my thoughts. Now I’m gonna go watch the other reviews haha
Hmmz, there definitely are some pretty polishes in this collection, but I don't think I will get the full set 🤔
Yeah prob not needed unless u r doing a review or something like that 💕💕
Pixel dust looks like crushed watermelon mush 😁 I'd only get the green from this collection, others are kinda meh
Crushed watermelon mush hahhahah

They are not really watery… actually 🤔 - they are patchy! Lol but also creamy, just, patchy. It’s weird haha
@@PolishLabRat That is weird. OPI is usually perfect in every way.

QfQ is BOMB, tho.
Yeah that one is really nice! I enjoyed it a lot and even actually wore it for a couple of days haha
Im a guy and im still buying these for collection of course
They are a must! Haha
This was how i felt about the Grease collection- it was so disappointing!' i wanted a "hicky from Kinicky" (spelling???) polish! Also, that pixel dust polish was soooo old looking-
I did get the pass is lime greener because it looks like a lemony yellow in a way!
😂😂🙌🏼
Yeah that one is nice and fresh!
Together it looks like a great spring collection but the individual polishes are meh
Yeah haha
I so wanted to love this collection because of the theme (I am also a PC gamer) but they are mostly nopes for me. Heart & Consoul and Halo are the only ones I might go for. Definite *sadface*

I'm an OPI collector but it's time for the brand to improve their brush. I think I'll pickup two. But, l hate "gummy" formulas 🤬
Gummy is the perfect word. I’m gonna pin ur comment. I didn’t know how to describe that. Haha (yeah their brush should be round paddle by now!)
Qué pena que los compraste, la calidad se veía bien dudosa.
No me arrepiento para nada :) así que no importa! Y así ya uds saben ☺️

😆🤣🤣
I don’t plan on getting any of these.

Agreed their formula are getting worse over time. They have new corporate owners
I’m gonna blame the finishes. We’ll see the creams in the new fall collection :) coming soon!

Yeah and i also recommend (if u haven’t already) watching various reviews as diff people might have other input and opinions 💕🥰
OPI really didn't do that great on this one. Weird for OPI! 🤷♀️
Yeah not sure what happened there, their formulas are usually perfect imo
