Congratulations to Madox for speaking up. ❤ After podium at BBWC, WBC and GBB 18 and 19 and tens of millions of views, I was still just investing on it. That’s one of the main reasons I quitted and started focusing on something else to become wealthy and provide for my family. If a company big like SBX would have valued me and guided me in the business, probably I’d still be making beats. I wonder how many other talents are being wasted like this. With a little bit of long term view they would understand that sharing financial success with the artists would benefit also them and 10x both revenue and impact.
sei un vero musicista e mertiti di avere successo, puoi avere un lavoro e continuare a fare musica e sono sicuro che il tuo canale crescerebbe tantissimo. Non mollare!
EXACTLY Dumb pork like them want money quick and never think that long term business is valuable Anyway I'm so glad to ear something from you NME I hope everything is going well in your life and I don't worry beatbox will stay wile sbx will vanish and yoou will be able to enjoy your passion again!
Well said brother short sightedness shows in their business in their business model, no actual company would grow when hoarding money like this, instead they went monopolistic route becoming 'status quo' of beatbox media ownership, I think its time for next gen iteration of it to take their place, an organisation that is more like growing ecosystem and is transparent with revenue distribution
I really hope it doesn’t put people off beatboxing. I wish more fans would support beatboxers on their own channel, so there’s not felt this need to participate through the big competitions, but just everyone is free to collaborate with who they want.
@@YnEoS10 I definitely think it's becoming the norm. With guys like Colaps, Remix, Napom, Helium, Vilardo, etc. making their own channel reacting to and creating content, I have a feeling that they will start getting a lot more power in their brands than they used to. For a very long time, the *ONLY* way to get beatboxing content was through Swiss Beatbox. That's changing, and changing fast. They're still the biggest, but with shit like this and the stuff that happened a couple years ago - I don't think it will be for much longer.
Turns out Dkoy and Vocodah pulling out was a foreshadowing of how bad things are behind the scenes. This was all so shocking to hear. I'm so sorry Madox, not being paid for 100s of millions of views is straight-up insanity. Pepouni's power-tripping here is just absurd, but the part that left me completely speechless was no prizepool for GBB - arguably the biggest annual beatbox tournament. I don't know what to think. As a beatbox lover, my world got turned upside down Also, good on Chezame and Sxin for rewarding the Top8 in their tournament. It was honestly the best non-GBB event we had in a long time 👏
Best event for sure, i enjoyed that shit so much, not even the gbb was that fun and i would love if they make it regularly maybe yearly or every two years.
If i remember correctly oniichan even paid a small amount to the people that lost round 1. They really showed us how amazing beatbox tournaments could be.
@@finncho8198 It's not sustainable though, sadly. They paid money from their pocket and lost money on the event overall, so they would need sponsors for the next one That's where the GBB model won in the past. They underpay everyone including the staff, which is ethically and morally terrible but gets the things done. But with the best staff members leaving, it's biting them back again
Did you Listen to the discussion? There should be no „giant“ controlling the bbx content. So another platform controlling everything is counterproductive, Even though it could be more fair…
@@finngleitze5712 no one said, that madox should build his own monopoly. just a company/beatbox org in competition to swissbeatbox. and within this, collaborate with artists, use your spotlight to give others publicity instead of devouring all the IP
This video made me gain a lot more respect for spencer than i ever had before... hes a very smart and sympathetic guy, well spoken and very thoughtful.
@@MajuhsAlt it’s a crazy exaggeration considering swissbeatbox, let alone pepouni have prob seen nowhere near that much. Maybe a couple million at most over 10 years
@@jdiedzzz yeah the amount they are claiming is wrong by probably 100-1000x it's not even a slight mistake or exaggeration. It just makes them look dumb.
Yeah... but let's not forget that this guy who sits here, saying he doesn't care about the views, is the same guy who posts fake-ass pre-produced beatbox videos, with him lip-syncing to it.
You guys NEED TO break away from Pepouni and rest of SBX. You guys know how to run it without them. Have to be bold. Hire an attorney to make sure there are no contracts, obligations or anything SBX can legally hold most of the beatboxers against them. Non compete, NDA, etc. Give me a break. People like Maddox and so many other are even better than Sinja for audio production. You don't need them anymore. Break away from these goons!
This does not come as a surprise to me. Madox, All that work you did for them and this is how they treat you? I am in moral digust. Spencer, I just got to speak with you for the first time a month or so ago. I wish I would of spoke to you sooner. When I heard you disappeared because of the community, I completely understood why. I am glad your back to voice your opinion. I guess my point on this whole topic and others.... I know there is a lot of wrong and right in the community. But the good people get shadowed out by the wrong voices. I had a very rough start into the beatbox community. So I made it very clear years ago that "MisFire" wouldn't be apart of that beatbox community. That is why I started my own journey. Because I knew it would be my community and I would instill positivity throughout it. It may seem like I didn't want to associate with any beatboxer. But that truly wasnt the case. I just didn't know who I could actually trust to call a friend at the end of the day without them having some malicious end game goal. I really wish I could have spent my first few new years to beatboxing surrounded by a like minded group. But I guess you could say "the community scared me away". I really hope that having you guys and other positive minded individuals come together to start and mend this community is enough to save our music family. I think we all deserve a place that feels safe and respected. Thank you Madox, B-Art and Spencer. 🙏
Ive heard from several people that working with SBX is very irritating and a struggle in itself, with someone having already left the team because of that. There have been loads of situations that just proove that SBX is not what people think on face level Having been someone affiliated with them in 2021 for the GBB, my experience was pretty good as i have been around mainly Jack and Rachel (two super great people) but the entire team was super stressed and i got to know a lot of stuff that went TERRIBLY wrong behind the scenes, its insane. Things can go wrong but some of the situations just stem from personal failure by various people and taking out their frustration on others. There is SOOO much more to go into but we are just scratching the surface
we don't realise how madox carried the whole scene, since he left swissbeatbox is not making views anymore, last gbb had shitty sound and visual, had 2 min of useless talking before every video and content was so uninteresting to watch. It's been years since i've seen an enjoyable or memorable video on sbb, without him we would never had the prime of beatboxing in 2017 to 2019. Thanks you so much for your work, really hope things will get better soon
This is why I respect Vocodah , Dkoy and others for disconnecting from sbx a long time ago and speaking out. And also River in his interview with Madox. And this is probably just the tip of the iceberg. We can't accept this anymore❤
THANK YOU. As someone who relies on the financial growth of the beatboxing scene to earn a living, this video hits close to home for me. Swissbeatbox has developed a free work culture so that they can cash in on the hard work of others. This has kept money out of the hands of artists who want to do independent work - the vast majority of my client base. I am limited to charging less than minimum wage for top-quality beatbox track productions that require 12+ hours of work and even at those prices some of the best beatboxers in the world can't afford what I charge. Even for the new Beatland battle where audio production value is judged, I'm not getting much work because people aren't even given the funds for their productions. And what do you know, they work with SBX.
I strongly agree that it's weird Beatland asks for a better production level leaving the cost to the artists. Given the high prize awards they could have distributed better so that at least something went to the elimination battle videos
@@pabloverdaguer8251 the artists who get invited to an island aren’t realistically getting it all for free. They are paying with full production music videos.
Bro, I'm so proud of you for finally being brave enough to speak out against this! Cheering you on every step of the way. Let's all not forget that this one hour video is honestly just the tip of the iceberg.
45:25 I almost thought "No way Madox is the reason..?" But honestly? That makes so much sense. I was wondering why GBB 2021 video production was worse from 2019, you can't even see the faces of the crowd properly. I just brushed it off thinking "Oh it's the venue" or "Oh it's the lighting" Now that I actually compared the videos side by side, it's pretty much apparent lol. Worse camera angles, worse focus on the beatboxer, meaningless camera cuts that make no sense, no more cool sweep shots and just worse quality in general. As someone who is not educated about audio/video production, this isn't directly obvious at first too
I didn't know how shady it was behind the scenes. Thank you, guys. Big fan of Bart and Madox. Also have to say that Spencer X is very articulate for his age, nice.
This is some real sh*t. I am so upset. Pepouni basically told Spencer to go f*** himself. It's been 9 years of following Swiss, and now I can't think of following them again. I'm lost for words. I've never thought about Sbbx being a company, I always thought it was a friendship community because that is how it was presented to me. Big ups to you three telling us about it. You are right. Things need to change.
D-Koy and Vocodah were the first to air their concerns, but they never got much traction. Good that Madox and B-Art are sharing about their experiences now.
I'm so sorry about what you had to experience, Madox. Part of the problems obviously come from the informal, casual community beginnings of beatboxing, but I wonder how much of what SBX gets away with also has to do with the age of most of the beatboxers. A lot of them are in their teens/early 20s and naive about contracts, copyrights, etc. so it's easy for a big company to exploit the artists. It would be interesting to get Gene's insight in navigating negotiations with SBX. Other kinds of artists and performers (writers, actors, athletes, etc.) have agents or unions to help them with these situations. To really elevate beatboxing to a profession with living wages, there needs to be an organization/group that helps build some kind of infrastructure to help protect the rights of the beatboxers.
This was dope hearing from Spencer X about this, I wasn’t anticipating him to be so familiar with the scene. Although some of the things he said were off color, like “GGB” “MB12” etc 😂 he’s clearly not into it like most of us are but that’s fine cuz he’s focused on making his own content and making money lol so big up. I have grown a lot in my respect for Spencer X over the years
The community needs to expand beyond the bottleneck of beatbox battles and world championships, and start hooking up with talent managers to organize beatboxers to do music festival tours. Thats where were at, thats the next evolution... its an evolution that should have happened years ago.
Wow men. I am stunned. I had the "chance" to talk with Pepouni last month at the Florida Beatbox Battle, we talked for at least half an hour about Swissbeatbox and I thanked him a lot for what this RUclips channel has brought to the beatbox world, he seemed "sincerely" touched and proud, he even told me a little bit about the beginnings of Swissbeatbox, how the company was created and the difficulties it faced at the beginning. I was really happy with this discussion, but now I just feel disgusted and betrayed.
Oh he was probably genuinely touched and proud, he just probably was proud of his "work" and not thankful for all the work of most of the other folk, probably considers all of that a credit to himself as well.
It'd be nice to see Codfish speak to you guys about this problem, I believe the reason why Codfish left is because of the right of content, prizes and ownership. Enjoyed hearing some of the inside works of SBX...
Yeah, ofc it had nothing to do with the toxicity around him xd. How fast can you guys forget that he was called a false champion for like a whole fucking year until dlow won. Ofc he left the community, he was being hated af
@@Fqnd0lNasay can I get some context to this? I got into bbx around '18 and everyone was bumming the shit out of codfish. I still see comments talking about him in a "aww man where codfish" way, even. So the false champion thing is interesting to me.
@@kickassidy333 Codfish went HUGE with his RUclips channel about that time, you can see that his most famous videos are around that date. That and his style, that isn't a battle style at all, started most of the trashtalk. People complaining about him wining against X beatboxers (the bataco one was the most discussed one around that time and imo it's ok because it was a damn close one) but that just fueled the hate on him. Then he slowly disappeared, focusing on his crew the tribe and doing live shows I think. I mean, he's OK, he's doing what he loves and having fun so it's been always more of people talking about him than the man himself.
@@Fqnd0lNasay That's a fair assessment, I felt bataco lost due to Codfish having a lot more power on the mic due to fundamentals, and the counter. I think contextually, it was understanding why he won 2018 in terms of the fanbase and exposure he had accumulated independent of SBX (something to think about in the context of this video), and working a crowd with showpieces that are already familiar with his work really played a part I feel. Also, his style was very popular then in that things like poh snare and other sounds/styles hadn't come to light. Ultimately, from a personal perspective, I see why he won, and also appreciate his art, but with the way the scene has grown it's obvious that there are a plethora of battlers these days that overshadow what someone like Codfish can do in a competition purely from a standpoint of tech, soundset, and a lot of these guys have great structure and musicality to boot. It's a shame there is a lot of hating on bbxers by fanboys, I certainly have my favourites and dislike certain styles elsewhere, but it's never something where I feel the need to bash or put down artistry. (my biggest example of this is believing Helium should have won against Inertia in BBU, and perhaps even GBB, but I wasn't there to hear the live sound or feel the vibe so that's debatable) Thanks again for your perspective, I love the scene and history/culture surrounding it, just wish there was more love in the yt comments sometimes.
Really hoping that this gets to a bigger audience, the more people that see this video the more likely something will change. Thank you guys for taking the time and putting in the effort to make this video, as well as all the hard work you have done and not gotten proper recognition.
Contracts are important. My mom was a copyright lawyer and taught me how to copyright and trademark before she retired. If anyone needs help let me know! The processing fee in US is only $55.00. Never get screwed and own your stuff because you made it!
Also think of it in Economics terms. You want to keep your money in your country, in your city, etc. Do what you can to contribute towards small businesses which helps your economy grow. But don’t give your products to a bigger company to help promote your stuff. It won’t help your economy grow unless you have a contract saying you get at least 51%
That's the perfect moment to subscribe to your channels, dude. I am also a videomaker and beatboxer and all this stuff... duuude. This BS Pepouni did with this loving community and taking advantage of people is CRAZY. I'm with you guys!
If you want to talk about what's bad in the scenes, and how to change it, you can get dkoy to come to your podcast. For having hearing him, he has brights ideas for the future of the scene.
Okey, so... The theme is a hard one and all. But I'm just amazed at how Spencer is just so invested in it. He was the invited guest but it almost seemed like he was the one leading the podcast with his sincere reactions and everything else. Big respect to him and you guys for sharing with us!
That s because Spencer is coming from a world where beatboxing is used to make money and in this situation with swissbeatbox owning everything beatbox evolved just because of the passion and the hard work of talented people that never realised how much they are worth.Since Spencer is very aware of this because it is his world,it s obvious that he is blown away by the situation.
the beatbox community is so wholesome that even with all of this happening many of the beatboxers still want to do this, not because they want money (proven by this video) but they want to bring creativity and that’s what this community’s all about and i really” respect that from the pro beatboxers, i think if there’s no swissbeatbox, people can live off from this beautiful artform👏🏼
37:00 thats very interesting, since Rachel only just recently joined SBX in 2019/2020 but left in early 2022 i think, because working with Pepouni is...a struggle
What Spencer is saying is the truth ..... i remember searching for Codfish's songs from his channel thinking that there's probably a lot of em and i did not see em , apart from the previous ones Madox thank you for opening my eyes , i didnt think that would be possible👀you and B-Art(thats my heart healing)
I was a fan of SBB(the maddox/freddie beats version) right at the start of like 2018. The scene was phenomenal and the whole thing was almost instantly nostaltic in status. I even got a "man of culture" from Madox for saying a B-art sound was "me starting my truck in yhe morning". This whole movement is wonderful to be a part of. Honestly I was thinkin... it will be no time til these beatboxers are huge and become even more mainstream or get promotions... which SBB did get the promotions... but hardly any of the individuals that deserved it were even a part of the profits. truly upsetting and I hope this all comes full circle in the end and EVERYONE gets what they deserve!
As the day goes by, more and more dark secrets of Swissbeatbox come out of the shadow. Since last year we've had big names in the art form boycotted Swissbeatbox like Vocodah, D-Koy, River, etc. Now it's Madox, someone who's been heavily involved with them since day one. You could say Swissbeatbox would never achieve its status now had it not been for his contribution. It's high time people started taking Swissbeatbox abusing and exploiting artists more seriously and do something about it.
This is why a lot of beatboxers do not participate in any competition anymore, even Bảo Trung and River'. The Community is slowly falling apart, it's pretty sad to think all about what we have built
I appreciate Madox's courage in addressing this difficult issue about the SBX monopoly and the lack of fair compensation for beatboxers. Unfortunately, many influential figures within the community remain silent or refuse to acknowledge the issues (Chezame and Sxin) due to their loyalty to the SBX "family". This creates an abusive dynamic where beatboxers feel powerless and dependent on the organization. To create change, it is essential for the community to organize and unite and voice their concerns collectively. Influential beatboxers should speak out on social media and promote self-reliance by creating their own content on RUclips and hosting livestreams. Additionally, pooling resources to hire legal representation could help explore possible legal actions against SBX. It's time to challenge SBX's assumption that the community won't unite against them and advocate for beatboxers.
For me (Madox) it was also really hard to come out of this, its been almost 3 years now that I left SBX and I just now found the courage. I can understand that lots of people are scared to speak up, but I hope this example will motivate them.
Finally some inside knowledge. I've been following the scene with MAD excitement since 2017, I went to local battles, even bought GBB tickets right before covid appeared. And we always heard whispers and rumours, but we could never be sure. And now we are. Please keep talking about these issues. Just like I praised SXIN and Chezame's move to create the BBU and openly up the bar on battle prizes, I praise you for talking with no filters and restrictions about such sensitive things, that I'm sure every beatboxer in the world cares about. I'll look forward to the next part. Thank you again.
I had this same question long back why is there's a monopoly in this beatbox society. And there comes the ugly truth how the real ones get sidelined and get no recognition for insane amount of hardwork they add to every content. Had to unsubscribe Swiss Beatbox after this... And finally saying... Kudos to you mate for throwing this all out there for the world to know. Insane respect @madox
This is very hard to hear it's messed up I've been doing beatbox for a long time and following swissbeatbox on youtube and now hearing from you guys it's very messed up I just gotta say thumbs up for the bravery to publish this and thank you!❤ peace and love Madox, b-art and Spencer x love you all can't wait for part 2!
I was asked in 2016 by Pepouni to do a shout out video while at the great north battle and I turned it down because he said they would have full rights to the video and I would not be allowed to post it on my own channel .
I’m speechless 😶 I’m so mad at them and sad for Madox. What the F is this?! If the community just knew this all of the beatbox community I bet most would support Madox and not help swissbeatbox anymore. I hope this change is coming. Mad respect for you guys ❤️🙌 thank you for finally sharing
I've been questioning myself about the terrible quality of gbb 2021 videos compared to 2019, now I understand. Thanks for all your supports and contributions to the community Madox, huge respect

I’m not a beatboxer (at least not professional by any means) and haven’t really been involved in the community, but I’ve been keeping up with channels like SBX and Beatbox International for over 10 years now and this is massive. I understand this is sad for a lot of people, myself included, but this is also the beginning of something awesome. I wish everyone had the energy for their communities that Spencer, Bart and Madox have and I’m really looking forward to where this news takes beatbox.
I am Japanese. I was very shocked when I saw this video. And I felt that pepouni has a responsibility to make some kind of statement about this deliberation. I am honestly disappointed in Swiss Beatbox, which is deeply involved in the beatbox scene that is growing all over the world. I am not even sure if I will go to the GBB in Japan, even though I have already obtained the tickets. I love beatboxing!!
This is what I always wanted to bring out since I joined the community 2 years ago, but I wasn't big enough nor be the right person to start this exposure/movement....I'm happy you guys could do it with the fame and followers you guys have inside the community, especially together with Spencer! The things we now hear from madox is ridiculous and the fact that it's not even everything is insane... Appreciate you guys alot doing this and if you guys need any help.. Let me know! 🔥❤️
I stopped supporting swiss just after the tomaz sh*t because of how they handled it, but Jesus. i didn't know it was this bad. Its genuinely disgusting.
I can bet the swiss beatbox intro will change very soon 😜 Big up to you guys for not remaining silent! I hope that, all the community together, we will be able to make this unfair and unacceptable system change
As a non-beatboxer this saddens me greatly. I went to GBB 2019, and had a blast with my now wife. We were sad that we couldn't go to the 2021 but somehow Im glad we didn't. The production quality dropped, beatboxers having issues on stage due to only having
This is insane to hear as an aspiring artist and beatboxer... Not only do they sweep important accusations under the rug, but they don't pay anyone and actively work to suppress artists' voices. I hope this situation improves soon, I would love to dedicate more of my time to learning and practicing beatbox but I simply cannot guarantee that I will be able to get anything out of the work I put in.
I'm still relatively new to beatboxing and the community. I didn't know about SBX until around 2020. I actually used to watch Hikakin and Daichii way before discovering SBX. Then when I found SBX, I learned just how big the beatbox community was. My first impression was a really large community that's like a family. Never knew that it was a facade for something leading up to a monopoly on content creation. I also noticed the large drop in video editing quality and content quality before 2020 and nowadays. Now I know why and it's so upsetting because it's just not the same anymore watching the videos. I'm glad you guys brought up these stories and behind-the-scenes information within the community. It's definitely hard to talk about because a lot of the things that have happened are so difficult to recover from, like recovering the right to your own content and actually getting the earnings you deserve from the content you directly contributed to creating. And Spencer has a point about how if this stuff happened in the bigger entertainment industries like music and sports, it would be huge controversy. Really wish more light could be shed on the beatbox community/industry as well.
I've looked at the recent video's that Swissbeatbox made and there viewer count have dropped a lot with out Maddox making them anymore. It's good that you left Swissbeatbox because now your able to make money I'm happy for you bro
Love this whistle-blower episode. Never realized Swiss beatbox is the Disney of beatboxing. It's funny how the whole time B-Art is like the kid listening to the adults have a conversation waiting for his turn to talk. This is something that needs to be known.
I would love to hear what babeli would have to say with how long he's been around. I had a suspicion because babeli should be loaded after all these years.
I appreciate you all so much for this. I look forward to building an industry that supports these incredibly unique and talented artists. It’s the least we all deserve. Sending love to you all! Can’t wait to see you!!
What's more ridiculous is that this matter has nothing to do with Spencer. Whether Swissbeatbox wants to pay artists who have created millions or even tens of millions of views for them or not, he will not get any benefits. I think he is really worried about this community. Respect bro❤ Thank you guys to speak out for all of the beatboxer. And sorry for my bad English and Google translator.
So happy you're back and instantly such a big topic. I'm happy this finally comes out and hopefully there is going to be change in the future Men of culture
I'm interested in the beatbox scene for around 15 years. And now someone has formulated what I was feeling for all those years - Swiss Beatbox is the talent conveyor. Some sort of "America got talent" for beatboxers. After it, the majority of beatbox content makers got burned out and do not want to spend so much energy anymore without getting any possibility to make beatbox their main source of income. And SBX just does not care, as they always can catch the new talents from the conveyor. I think there should appear several competitors to SBX on the beatbox youtube market, which would be more honest with its core team and the main beatbox stars. Only then things will change.
I was listening to the podcast while playing Rocket Leauge and i got shocked. It's sad to see the truth behind Swissbeatbox, but it's good that someone finally said these things and all people can know now. Also, Spencer grew big in my eye because he told you his story with Swiss. I don't like his content that much, and i don't know much about him, but it's clear to see that he is also a great guy and wants to do something to make things better at the beatbox scene. Love you all guys and hope after this part of the podcast we as a great community can make things change. Stay safe everybody!
I started beatboxing and I found out about the beatbox community and learned everything about it last year! You guys can make it! I am positive about this! And I am glad you finally decided to not let it go anymore! People who take action are people who will always succeed! Mad respect to all 3 of you, Vocodah, HerShe, River and all the people who took action about the issues! You can make a huge change about this! Love you guys! Hope you'll gain the success you deserve! ❤️❤️🔥💪
I’m loving that this stuff going on is finally coming out, thank you guys this needed to be said. Another thing is that all that drama with tomazacre… they said something like, if he was proven innocent they would put his gbb legacy back on. Well from what I gathered (this could be wrong but what I heard was) that he was innocent and they still canceled him. I’m glad that this is being said and things NEED to change.
Thats so f…d up man :( sbx changed my life like almost 10 years ago, when i started watching the first gbb videos. I became a looper and i couldn‘t imagine my life without beatboxing, even im just at a casual level. Hearing stuff like this just breaks my heart, honestly. Hearing things about artists that inspired me a lot that are got treated like sh*t is sickening me, and i really consider to just watch my favorite artists on their platforms and not support sbx anymore, as long they dont make a change. Thank you Madox for the great work and effort you did on sbx and you have my full support on your further way. Even the topic hitted me really hard, im glad you did this, thank you ❤
What a earthquake. I mean, nothin' new when we talk about of something that goes around the money. The story River told was already enough to understand what the mechanism of Swissbeatbox was. Artists not considered as such and not remunerated. Of course the new revelations coming out of this episode add more fuel to the fire. This year for the GBB, if I am not mistaken, the artists are covered partially or totally for travel. Some change seems to be there but still too little given all the years spent earning over artists' performances. Thanks for this episode.
when you connect the dots.. you're right!!! not watching as much swissbeatbox since you left, the videos are way less interesting, the channel looks submerged in mid content, you were doing SO MUCH for swissbeatbox omg i hope yall get your money someday, or a least a part of it, its INSANE
Damn that's really really bad. Well they are just doing business and not caring about the artist. I think all artists should come together and oppose this bs as Swiss is being a bs. Respect to both of you guys for putting it out
Doing some snooping. It appears the claim of Pepouni's retirement is already a straight-up lie. He is currently registered as the CEO and sole person in Swissbeatbox Gmbh's management. The company was published in the St Gallen state records in February 2017. I can't seem to find any annual company results (Jahresergebnisse). I wouldn't be surprised if you're not obliged to share those publically in Switzerland. It's a funny little country for that stuff. I'd like to know :p it lists the only capital as 20,000 CHF (about 20,400 euros) in 100 shares all owned by Pepouni. But I'm assuming that was the amount needed to set up an LLC.
I really miss that guy on the scene. He should be blowing up... If beatboxers are able to somehow take their power back collectively that would be amazing and for sure it would inspire a whole new wave of awesomeness from guys like him.
I ALWAYS thought of Pepouni as a guy who is very presentable and nice but PURELY a business man behind the scenes, no friends or family, just business.
Madox even tho Im not an official beatboxer or anything let me give you an advise Do a thing you just colab with the most popular beatboxers and hold some parties, shows whatever you know just start something like swissbeatbox and conduct shows this way you can get a lot more money and views. I honestly think that you can make the beatbox society a much better place. Love you bro
There were tons of crazy things revealed in this video, but I was totally baffled specifically by Pepouni's messages to Spencer. Imagine being the face of a company and showing such low professionalism, especially to a kid who's displayed nothing but positivity and passion.
That shit was wild, SBX has done a lot of shitty stuff, but I wouldn't have thought that Pepouni himself the CEO of SBX someone who's supposed to handle himself professionally would say to a young aspiring beatboxer "fuck your country." Even more ironic given that that's the country where beatbox originated. That took me by surprise.
41:27 Imagine is SBX actually was hosting competitions every 3 months where the top prize was a quarter million dollars! Think how much more competitive the scene would be, the art form would be far more progressed, beatboxing would be mainstream, and it would become a real career that people could do! So much more talent would exist and be inspired!
I honestly felt this already long time ago and which is why i stopped being part of the community back in 2015. Even had multiple people reaching out to me to get my videos to upload on their own channel which i already despised... cause it only gains them clicks and money. I never cared about clicks or money... all i wanted was to be respected and appreciated... not just as a beatboxer but also as a person. Did any of those ever reach out to me to make it possible for a younger me to participate at the championships? Nope. But did they reach out to get some free content? Yep. Unfortunately i had this feeling early on.. before most of the people.. and i started to keep this hobby for my friends. The truth is: There are a lot of people who wanna learn from you or want your attention and do whatever they can to get there. First you think they have a interest into you... but later on, you realize they only did that for themselves. I remember a handful of people that kept staying real with me and one of them was B-Art. Always gonna remember our talks and jams we had via Skype back in the old days. Glad to see you open up on this channel. Much respect & love. - iKey
Congratulations to Madox for speaking up. ❤
After podium at BBWC, WBC and GBB 18 and 19 and tens of millions of views, I was still just investing on it.
I miss you bro. Still hope you'll come back to the stage😢

Dumb pork like them want money quick and never think that long term business is valuable
Anyway I'm so glad to ear something from you NME I hope everything is going well in your life and I don't worry beatbox will stay wile sbx will vanish and yoou will be able to enjoy your passion again!
OMG NME! I never expected it to be this bad 😢 Thanks for letting us know 🙏
Called this so many years ago and got so much pushback lol
Love your content bro!!
Of course man. Hive mentality of supporters who don’t even think about there being 2 sides
Excited for the future of beatbox.
Keep up the good stuff guys you're killing it
Dkoy and Scott Jackson are other lames that will get exposed, y'all are trashy people. Hope you both rot
Yes!!
Man, the deeper I dive into a community I always dreamed of being a part of, the more I want to stay away; it's sad
I really hope it doesn’t put people off beatboxing. I wish more fans would support beatboxers on their own channel, so there’s not felt this need to participate through the big competitions, but just everyone is free to collaborate with who they want.
The community should not depend only of one big company

As a beatbox lover, my world got turned upside down
Also, good on Chezame and Sxin for rewarding the Top8 in their tournament. It was honestly the best non-GBB event we had in a long time 👏
Best event for sure, i enjoyed that shit so much, not even the gbb was that fun and i would love if they make it regularly maybe yearly or every two years.
@Finncho it should be annual or bi-annual for sure, its such a good concept.
If i remember correctly oniichan even paid a small amount to the people that lost round 1.
They really showed us how amazing beatbox tournaments could be.
Same in ph bbx community
@@finncho8198 It's not sustainable though, sadly. They paid money from their pocket and lost money on the event overall, so they would need sponsors for the next one
That's where the GBB model won in the past. They underpay everyone including the staff, which is ethically and morally terrible but gets the things done. But with the best staff members leaving, it's biting them back again
If Madox would build his own swissbeatbox, i would 100% support him
Mad-box😂
Did you Listen to the discussion?
There should be no „giant“ controlling the bbx content. So another platform controlling everything is counterproductive,
Even though it could be more fair…
I agree

@@finngleitze5712 no one said, that madox should build his own monopoly. just a company/beatbox org in competition to swissbeatbox. and within this, collaborate with artists, use your spotlight to give others publicity instead of devouring all the IP

This video made me gain a lot more respect for spencer than i ever had before... hes a very smart and sympathetic guy, well spoken and very thoughtful.

Yeah... but let's not forget that this guy who sits here, saying he doesn't care about the views, is the same guy who posts fake-ass pre-produced beatbox videos, with him lip-syncing to it.
change is coming.
YES!!!
I hope so
Why does inertia still want to compete and win gbb if he doesnt get anything out of it?
❤
Woah it's misfire. Haven't seen you in a long time
Ive heard from several people that working with SBX is very irritating and a struggle in itself, with someone having already left the team because of that. There have been loads of situations that just proove that SBX is not what people think on face level
Having been someone affiliated with them in 2021 for the GBB, my experience was pretty good as i have been around mainly Jack and Rachel (two super great people) but the entire team was super stressed and i got to know a lot of stuff that went TERRIBLY wrong behind the scenes, its insane.
The main video production guy Madox - quits. The main social media manager Chezame - quits. I can see a pattern
Great video, really hope this shakes up the scene
Ayy i know you ❤❤
I strongly agree that it's weird Beatland asks for a better production level leaving the cost to the artists. Given the high prize awards they could have distributed better so that at least something went to the elimination battle videos
@@pabloverdaguer8251 the artists who get invited to an island aren’t realistically getting it all for free. They are paying with full production music videos.
@@pabloverdaguer8251 also their sponsorship seems a lil suspicious for me. They gain money through the snowball-system, which is highly problematic.
@@deimam2859 what's snowball-system?
The whole situation is just ugly. I wish you the very best mr Konrad! You’ve always been the kindest guy 💜🫂
I just brushed it off thinking "Oh it's the venue" or "Oh it's the lighting"
Now that I actually compared the videos side by side, it's pretty much apparent lol. Worse camera angles, worse focus on the beatboxer, meaningless camera cuts that make no sense, no more cool sweep shots and just worse quality in general. As someone who is not educated about audio/video production, this isn't directly obvious at first too
This podcast is vital for change in the beatbox scene. 🙏
I didn't know how shady it was behind the scenes. Thank you, guys. Big fan of Bart and Madox. Also have to say that Spencer X is very articulate for his age, nice.
Spencer is over 30, what do you mean by "his age"? lol
@@hisokabeatbox9053 my bad, he looks very young.

D-Koy and Vocodah were the first to air their concerns, but they never got much traction. Good that Madox and B-Art are sharing about their experiences now.
Lmfao, they use family and community language to make you less materialistic
Good for your Maddox. You're much better off without SBX in your life. You have enough skill and connections in the scene to do your own thing!
correction Madox
This was dope hearing from Spencer X about this, I wasn’t anticipating him to be so familiar with the scene. Although some of the things he said were off color, like “GGB” “MB12” etc 😂 he’s clearly not into it like most of us are but that’s fine cuz he’s focused on making his own content and making money lol so big up. I have grown a lot in my respect for Spencer X over the years
Maybe he stated it like that to avoid potential claims🤔
i thought he came across amazingly on this podcast tbh, although mb12 absolutely killed me 😂😂
Ngl "GGB, MB12" got me😂
The community needs to expand beyond the bottleneck of beatbox battles and world championships, and start hooking up with talent managers to organize beatboxers to do music festival tours.
Thats where were at, thats the next evolution... its an evolution that should have happened years ago.
It takes a lot of respect for the community to share this information publicly, I appreciate you guys.
Nice pfp
@@sohamsengupta6470 yeah probably
It'd be nice to see Codfish speak to you guys about this problem, I believe the reason why Codfish left is because of the right of content, prizes and ownership. Enjoyed hearing some of the inside works of SBX...
I second this
Yeah, ofc it had nothing to do with the toxicity around him xd.
(my biggest example of this is believing Helium should have won against Inertia in BBU, and perhaps even GBB, but I wasn't there to hear the live sound or feel the vibe so that's debatable)
Thanks again for your perspective, I love the scene and history/culture surrounding it, just wish there was more love in the yt comments sometimes.

I agree. Don't sign your rights away. Get legal advice. I think they profit off the fact most bbx are young and naive about this.

Never worry guys we are with you.
This video needs at least 1,000 times more views... I started boycotting SBB after the whole Tomaz incident, but this is nuts
Honestly at this point, it seems to me that an apology is not nearly enough for all this…
I'd love to hear the crowd shouting "PAY BEATBOXERS" during gbb23 would be my dream
37:00 thats very interesting, since Rachel only just recently joined SBX in 2019/2020 but left in early 2022 i think, because working with Pepouni is...a struggle
What Spencer is saying is the truth ..... i remember searching for Codfish's songs from his channel thinking that there's probably a lot of em and i did not see em , apart from the previous ones
Madox thank you for opening my eyes , i didnt think that would be possible👀you and B-Art(thats my heart healing)
What did River said?

I hope the community as a whole speaks up for this and that improvements happen soon!!!
OMG!!!!
I'm so sorry for you guys.
Hope you will get on top of that and show SBX and Pepouni, what can you do without them.
Great job guys, I know it’s scary releasing a video like this but I’m super proud of you and I know many others are as well. Kings.
🙌🏻
I've looked at the recent video's that Swissbeatbox made and there viewer count have dropped a lot with out Maddox making them anymore. It's good that you left Swissbeatbox because now your able to make money I'm happy for you bro
Love this whistle-blower episode. Never realized Swiss beatbox is the Disney of beatboxing. It's funny how the whole time B-Art is like the kid listening to the adults have a conversation waiting for his turn to talk. This is something that needs to be known.
B-Art said that he felt sleepy in the beginning of the podcast.
Competition is bad and this don't gonna end because some people know the secrets behind.
Holy fuck this is sad AF
Everybody should just not send wildcards to GBB for one year and watch SBX fall apart
What's more ridiculous is that this matter has nothing to do with Spencer. Whether Swissbeatbox wants to pay artists who have created millions or even tens of millions of views for them or not, he will not get any benefits. I think he is really worried about this community. Respect bro❤
Thank you guys to speak out for all of the beatboxer.
And sorry for my bad English and Google translator.
So happy you're back and instantly such a big topic. I'm happy this finally comes out and hopefully there is going to be change in the future
Men of culture
Great video! Hit all the points perfectly
I hope this video is gonna go viral ! The community needs to know.
I'm still shocked of the message Pepouni sent to Spencer
I wonder if D-Koy would do an interview with you guys on this subject..
Bro that was EXACTLY what I was thinking, that would probably expose the rest of this kind of stuff about SBX.
2:33 It's funny to see how respectful b-art wants to be towards the name of Hisoka not knowing it's the name of a pedophile charachter from hxh hahaha
😂😂😂
密か (hisoka) just means "secret"
@@hisokabeatbox9053 it was just a joke haha i know Hisoka means secret :3
Madox even tho Im not an official beatboxer or anything let me give you an advise
Do a thing you just colab with the most popular beatboxers and hold some parties, shows whatever you know just start something like swissbeatbox and conduct shows this way you can get a lot more money and views.
He's just a pure piece of shit Swiss cheese and chocolate!
This!!! This isn’t even half of what has happened with Swiss. This is why I’ve gone down different avenues where they can be money at the end of line.
