Minato's face when his kunai slips through Madara is one of my favorite details in the episode. You can literally see him asking himself 'what the hell is happening'
These two episodes were some of the best episodes in the entire series by far. This to me took Minato to another stratosphere. To me, Minato is stronger than Hashirama and would beat him especially later on but people will never acknowledge that. Minato made a quick work of both Kyuubi and Tobi without breaking a sweat. He is so humble that he handles opponents effortlessly and still make it seem like he has time. When he told Naruto his fight with Tobi, he said he barely won when you can see he did so effortlessly. The reason why I say Minato is stronger than Hashirama is because unlike Hashirama whose power is made to battle the Bijuu, Minato didn't have that luxury, he had to rely on his own mind and Nirmal ability to defeat Kyuubi. If he wanted to, he would've survived this attack, but he wanted to split the Kyuubi in two because Naruto wouldn't be able to handle the full Kyuubi as an infant so Minato used the Reaper death seal. If Minatk had survived, he would've been the strongest Shinobi to have ever lived...until Naruto and Sasuke of course.
The fact that he can assess situations as fast as he does definitely makes the difference. Him and itachi is the youngest to graduate the academy because of how quick they grasped concepts, situations and jutsu
@kurltonfalconer9353 His calmness in every situation is something that gives him the edge over the others. He assess every situation and acts accordingly and like Nate said, its like he was seeing the future. He made Tobi look like a joke effortlessly and he was able to assess Tobi's jikukan ninjutsu, find a weakness and counter-attack after just a few minutes of observation. Remember how long it took Naruto and the others to achieve the same feat.
Spoiler: I’m not gonna lie minato is not stronger than hashirama. Hashirama was fighting a susano coated Kurama and prime madara and defeated him. Minato fought a less experienced obito who was not near madaras strength and a non armored susano Kurama huge difference. But respect to minato.
@constantdreams7918 Hashirama may have raw power but Minato has the skills to render them useless. The Shinsu Senju and the Golem would be casually removed from battle and Hashirama would have to rely on his hands and henis not very good at that. Minato is a killer, his moveset is made entirely for killing and maiming. He is way faster than Hashirama and he was able to casually blitz Juubito (whom Hashirama outright stated was superior to him), he almost blitzed Juubidara with 1 arm. Minato and kushina death is the most emotional scene in naruto for me. We have many sad moment or death like asuma, jiraya and itachi, but for me minato and kushina is the saddest. Nothing can be sadder than kushina last words to naruto❤🩹 and naruto after meeting his parents and knowing that he is so loved all this time, it feels so greatttt😭😭😭❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
The teleport Minato does right after catching baby Naruto is just peak art direction. The background fading and the world turning and the scream distorting. Hell the fuck yes. Also, I would like to add that the rendition of this scene in the Ninja Storm Games is handled just as well, maybe even a bit better.
I read somewhere that Kishimoto wrote this during his anniversary or honeymoon or something like that and that he got lots of advice for the story from his wife..aka a romance specialist and would know what a mother would say.

And this is why Minato is my favorite character my man handled the fact that his son and wife were in extreme danger, he deflicted an tailed beast bomb, man was against Madara and he still didnt care he went for the fight and tricked him with his technique and beat him, yall can say anything but Minato is one if not the coldest mf in the whole naruto show
its been many years since I saw episode 249 for the first time, ive re watched it so many times, and it still hits as much as the first time, it always makes me cry so much.
People tend to forget how good a show is as time passes and Naruto is the best example of this. Absolutely amazing show
The teleport Minato does right after catching baby Naruto is just peak art direction. The background fading and the world turning and the scream distorting. Hell the fuck yes.
Also, I would like to add that the rendition of this scene in the Ninja Storm Games is handled just as well, maybe even a bit better.
Bro i watched this episode like 3 years ago and still crying every time seeing this episode 🥹
yooo brother congratulation on 1 million subs ... you are really the best ....
Bruh, I've seen this episode a million times and said to myself I'm not crying on this in Nick reaction... I failed.
The parallels between Naruto and Gaara continue to pile up!
the crazy part is, it arguably gets a little more emotional later on near the end
This episode and Jiraya's death left me in shambles the first time I watched it, and they still do to this day 💔💔💔
That's why Naruto is the best anime of all time...❤️
I read somewhere that Kishimoto wrote this during his anniversary or honeymoon or something like that and that he got lots of advice for the story from his wife..aka a romance specialist and would know what a mother would say.
RIP Shinohara Emi, japanese voice actor Kushina🥀
tell you no other anime had make me cry so much in different stages of the story like naruto is so heart warming felling and connects with the soul and heart like no other
I think he is the only good attention to story reactor who doing old anime reactions and getting recognized a lot
3:15 you got some vocals bro gawd DAMN
"i prefer this over boom boom pow pow anyday". TRUUUUEEEE. Boom boom pow pow is nice but backstory ❤
Kushina/Naruto story kills me everytime. It was so heartbreaking. Naruto all his life never felt love but he was loved dearly by his parents.
