    The video before The Real Thing. Loved this back in the day. Huge fan of Ben and Jerry. I once saw Ben in the Camp 4 parking lot. He had his dreads still. I was staring at him, like “ omg it’s the legend!!” He smiled and nodded. I was stoked lol. Still wish I would’ve spoken to him, but that’s ok. Great and classic video!

    This was OG for me. In 1996 I had an old (even then) betaMAX video cassette player and ONE tape. This was it. So happy I can watch it again!!

    Such an iconic video. Thanks for posting this! One of my greatest climbing memories was having a session on Deliverance with Ben after CWIF one year and Jerry coming out to heckle, great times!

    When Deliverance was 7C+

    • @senorblondie
      @senorblondie Месяц назад

      Didn't realize it was ever rated 7C+ but the credits have it listed in the film as 8A 50:11 I did it in '99 and it was 7B+ then I believe, but heck I'll take the 8A 😂

      @@senorblondie Good man 💪👍..Take the mats away and whats the grade?

    • @senorblondie
      @senorblondie Месяц назад

      @@jbradbury2 The grade stays the same without mats, it's a flat dirt landing like Fontainebleau, nothing sketchy about it and it's a relatively short drop. Honestly I can't recall if I even had a mat when I did it, most people in England at that time didn't have mats but maybe there was one around that day...

    Love it! Bouldering up to 12 feet above the ground without 20 crashpads and a team of spotters/hangers-on shouting "allez"!
    Back when men were men, and so were the women and the sheep ran scared! 😂

      You're still free to risk your health for climbing up a rock, so please refrain from judging others because they care about their life more than an ascent. But, yes, the 'allez' cheerleaders are annoying, even if some people benefit from being encouraged in such a way.
