1- Imam Ali (AS) said: "We negate the use of personal opinions (rational thinking) because the truth, according to us, lies in what we have mentioned regarding the matters that Allah has prescribed for us, and the evidence He has established for us such as the Book, the Sunnah, and the Imam of the time. Creation cannot be devoid of these aspects that we have mentioned, and anything that contradicts them is false." He was the first to measure when he said, 'You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.' So, leave personal opinion and analogy.

Imam Ali (AS) states that it is necessary for appointment by Allah, and it is not permissible for anyone to engage in personal opinions, under the pretext of "need" or the ignorant's need for the scholar or rational thought, and other similar matters. [Source: Tahaf al-Aqul, An Aal al-Rasul, by Al-Harrani, p. 122]
6- Ja'far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (AS) said: "O Nu'man! Beware of analogy (qiyas), for my father informed me, from his forefathers, that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Whoever measures anything from the religion with his personal opinion, Allah will join him with Iblis in Hellfire. He was the first to measure when he said, "You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." So, leave personal opinion and analogy. And whatever a group says without having evidence in the religion of Allah, indeed the religion of Allah is not based on opinions and measurements.'" [Source: 'Awalim al-'Ulum wa al-Ma'arif wa al-Ahwal, Vol. 20, p. 491]
7- Imam al-Sadiq (AS), referring to Imam Mahdi (AS), said: "His enemies are the followers of the jurists who exercise rational thinking, for what they see fit to rule contrary to what their Imams have established. Then he continues to say that when he emerges, he will have no clear enemy except the jurists, especially. He and the sword are brothers." 8- Sayyid Khomeini said after a long discussion about the affirmation and negation of the authority of this narration: "Any narration that is weak in terms of its chain of narrators and confusion in its content is not suitable for authority, as you can see. Thus, the narration, despite its weak chain of narrators and confusion in its content, is not suitable for authority." [Source: Al- rational thinking wa al-Taqleed by Ayatollah Khomeini, p. 97]
9- Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr said about the attribution of the interpretation to Imam Hasan al-Askari (AS) and the narration containing this: "For the common people, they may follow it. It is also attributed to him (referring to Imam Hasan al-Askari) in an unreliable manner, the famous interpretation attributed to Imam al-Askari. It contains the interpretation of Surahs Al-Hamd and Al-Baqarah... It is not by the pen of Imam al-Askari but a report from some of his students about his teachings. Imam Hasan al-Askari used to teach the student according to what he deemed appropriate in his understanding, and the student would receive from him and write down what he understood. Thus, the level of interpretation is far below the level of the Imam. However, the narration is weak and is not suitable for historical proof." [Source: Mawsuat al-Imam al-Mahdi Tarikh al-Ghaibah al-Sughra, p. 197]
10- Sayyid Khoei, in his book "Al- rational thinking wa al-Taqleed" (Jurisprudence and Emulation), when discussing the evidence for taqleed, says: "Speaking about the concept of taqleed hardly yields any juristic benefit, Allah willing, except in exceptional cases. This is due to its absence in any narrations. Yes, it is mentioned in the narration of al-Ihtijaj (a book attributed to Imam Hasan al-Askari), but as for those among the jurists who preserve themselves, protect their religion, oppose their desires, and obey the command of their master, the common people may emulate them. However, this narration is weak and cannot be relied upon." [Source: Al- rational thinking wa al-Taqleed by Sayyid Khoei, p. 81]

Creation cannot be devoid of these aspects that we have mentioned, and anything that contradicts them is false." Then Imam Ali (AS) mentioned a lengthy speech in response to those who advocate for personal opinions. 2- The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "Allah never sent a prophet except that he had disciple’s followers. The prophet stayed among them and acted according to the Book of Allah, His command, and the Sunnah of their prophet. When they passed away, there would be people who would mount the pulpits, saying what they do not know and practicing what they deny. So, when you see that, it is the duty of every believer to confront them with his hand. If he cannot, then with his tongue. And if he cannot, then with his heart. And there is no Islam beyond that." [Source: Al-Nizam Al-Siyasi Fi Al-Islam by Baqir Sharif Al-Qarashi, p. 272 - Bayan al-A'imma, Vol. 2, p. 469]
3- Ja'far ibn Muhammad (AS) reported that his father, Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS), narrated from his forefathers that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Whoever uses his personal opinion to measure anything from the religion, Allah will join him with Iblis in Hellfire. He was the first to measure when he said, 'You created me from fire, and You created him from clay.' So, leave personal opinion and analogy. And whatever a group says without having evidence in the religion of Allah, indeed the religion of Allah is not based on opinions and measurements." [Source: Al-Irshad, Vol. 1, p. 89]
4- The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "People will form their own opinions, seeking worldly gains and leadership. They will interpret the Qur'an according to their desires, and thus religion will be based on personal opinions." [Source: Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 52, p. 257]
5- In his will to Kumayl, Imam Ali (AS) said: "O Kumayl, if there had been no Prophet and a righteous believer existed on Earth, he would be mistaken or misguided in his supplication to Allah until Allah appointed and qualified him for it." Imam Ali (AS) states that it is necessary for appointment by Allah, and it is not permissible for anyone to engage in personal opinions, under the pretext of "need" or the ignorant's need for the scholar or rational thought, and other similar matters.
He and the sword are brothers." [Source: Mustadrak Safinat al-Bihar by Ali al-Namazi al-Shahroud, Vol. 1, pp. 142-143 - Majma al-Nurayn by Sheikh Abu al-Hasan al-Namardi, p. 344-345 - Yawm al-Khulasa by Kamal Suleiman, Vol. 1, p. 274 - and mentioned in Fathat al-Makkiyya by Muhyiddin Ibn 'Arabi]
8- Sayyid Khomeini said after a long discussion about the affirmation and negation of the authority of this narration: "Any narration that is weak in terms of its chain of narrators and confusion in its content is not suitable for authority, as you can see.
