      How to Get Your Shit Together :-D no problem, when I picked it I knew it might be hard to pronounce, but I liked the story so much I picked it anyway :-D

    • @HowToGYST
      @HowToGYST  7 лет назад

      The story?

    • @TheBaucis
      @TheBaucis 7 лет назад

      How to Get Your Shit Together the story is called "Philemon et Baucis", part of Ovid's Metamorphosis. If you like stories about Greek or Roman Mythology you might like it. It's really a lovely story. In case you want to read it yourself I won't tell you what it's about, otherwise just tell me and I'll give you a short summary ;-)

    Oh.. The Never Ending Story... Dear oh dear... Nightmares for weeks after I watched that as a child. But I gave it a go again when I was older and the camp and charm of it won me over. That's some heavy shit for a kids film!
    Anyway, I am off to download Sarah's books to my kindle. (Even though she stole your site name for her title... ^_^ ) Thanks for bringing it our attention.
    OH!! And thanks to Sarah of course for taking the time out to film for us. I hope she is back to full health.

    Hurray and thanks to you for getting my question to Sarah. And thanks to Sarah for answering! I've definitely started to put that calendar blocking tactic into effect. I've actually got a full day of no meetings on Monday that I've managed to block off to work. *dances around*
    Also, sorry my name's so hard to pronounce. Cari's fine. :)

    HI Laura, I was wondering if you red "the subtle art of not giving a fuck" and if so, could you review it and tell us the differences with Sarah's book, please?

    • @HowToGYST
      @HowToGYST  7 лет назад

      I actually just finished reading it last week. Don't have enough to say about it to do a full review but, in short, I don't think it's a patch on Sarah's first book. Sarah's is funnier and much more practical, in my opinion. I found "The Subtle Art..." to be a bit more "motivational storytelling" than anything. Honestly, it didn't do much for me. Then again, I read it on a plane so maybe it wasn't the right environment for me to fully appreciate it. I'd still recommend Sarah's over it though, purely for the practicality.

    • @TheYgernependragon
      @TheYgernependragon 7 лет назад +1

      thanks for the honesty. if you indeed found Sarah's book more interesting and "on point", I guess it's for a good reason. If "the subtle art.;" had done anything better for you, you would feel it without a doubt!!

    • @HowToGYST
      @HowToGYST  7 лет назад

      I did highlight quite a few sentences in the book but, overall, I didn't feel particularly inspired or motivated. I'll go back over it soon and see if anything changes.
