In this eye-opening episode of Mum's True Tea, I dive deep into the emotional toll that motherhood can take on mental health, including how it can lead to PTSD. I explore the backlash I received for speaking this truth, especially as a single mom. Society often paints motherhood as a joyful experience, but for many, it’s far from the truth. Single moms face intense financial, emotional, and physical burdens, often with little to no support from partners, family, or their community. We discuss the harsh realities of absent fathers and the lack of understanding from those who fail to recognize the struggles single moms endure. Plus, why men who despise single moms often have unresolved issues of their own. Let’s shed light on these tough truths and call for the support and empathy single mothers deserve.

I came to your channel after watching the podcast with Koryelle. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I too was a teen mom, 13 at that! I’m here to say motherhood is challenging! I also had my daughters listen it the podcast as well so they can hear that raising a child is wayyy more than playing dress up & taking cute pictures!
Some women that claim it’s just the best thing since sliced bread, aren’t the great parents they think they are & do no self reflecting
I love my children, however if I had of know what motherhood ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE, I would have made different decisions!

Thank you for speaking the truth and having a platform for us moms who have the same sentiments! I also thought that the comments were amazingly judgmental!!! SMH!!! I don’t know why women are so mean towards other women!

Thank you so much! They’re mean because they’re miserable and often times projecting or not ready to be honest

I Believe being a parent is 100% overhyped/overrated imho I am Childfree myself I don't ever plan on having kids for serveral reasons but mostly I don't want to become a father and have the responsibility of raising another human being. I 100% appericate your honesty and vulnerability. Thier is no judgment from me. Being a parent especially a mother is extremely difficult sweat Blood and Tears laterally. Then add on the stress of your body changing and many other changes aswell. Thank you for telling us your story.

Came here from that very podcast you spoke on. Baby where is the lie. Well said. Good on you babe! ❤ I love being a mom but nothing you said was wrong about the reasons why you had a different feeling. All true.

I believe we really need to start having conversations with kids/Teens and even young Adults aswell that if you don't want to have kids or even get married then that is completley ok. Thier is no shame in it I think it would be beneficial in the long run. Just letting them be more aware of that choice.

You got to understand also that there are some single mothers out here that actually keep there child away from the other parents when they actually want to be involve in their kids life. They put themselves in that situation to try to prove to the other parent that they can do it by themselves without the other parents support. All I hear is the other parent being absent like they choose to be than single mom keeping their kids from the other parent because they are bitter. There are actually good fathers out here. They get mad when they see there ex child father moved on and start a new family with somebody and being in the other kids life and is happy. Not saying he don’t want to be in the other child’s life but just to see that the first single mom making it harder for him to be because she not happy

Did you not hear me say “I know they’re are bitter baby mommas and that my husband has experienced this”?
I need people to really listen and not just hear.
      But thanks for tuning in.
