Wow! That was a fantastic insight into the Hammond organ. It really shows how much goes into playing these fantastic instruments. You have to “drive” them as well as play them. Huge respect to the virtuosos out there. Thanks Marine.
Hi Marine, love this lesson! I'm thinking Hammond Organ with a good drawbar setting could replace the synth solo in Van Halen's 'Jump', switching that Leslie on/off slow & fast could embellish the sound. Would you consider teaching the synth part ? Love you're guided practice song lessons.
@@Kouros-t6d Yeah synth is great ,but it's already been done & Hammond is even better !(IMO) Hopefully Marine will be the FIRST to do it on Hammond. Rock & Roll !
Laurens Hammond ' didn't have a musical bone in his body'...by his own admission... ...but still managed to creat the most incredible ' Texture Machine' ,ever made... ..he also hated Leslie speakers.. ..he actually tried to buy out " Leslie" ...and shut them down... 80% of Hammonds were sold WITH Leslie's...
