Fossils of trees that date back to the Cretaceous Period have been found in Antarctica, which had reached a polar position by that time. This indicates that the climate of Antarctica was once warm enough to support entire forests.
I've lately grown interested in the mesozoic era and loved this video it's very entertaining and informative, may I ask what did you study to learn about this in college maybe?
I've never seen a long documentary on it but there have been some great series. Walking with Dinosaurs, which aired in 1999, is a good one. I've never seen Prehistoric Planet but I've heard it's very well-done too.
Nice video But I would have loved seeing other animals like some therapsids(like lystrosaurus) pseudosuchians (like saurosuchus and ancient crocodylamorphs) temnospondyls(like koolasuchus) and archosauromorphs(like tannystropheus and drepanosaurus) Speaking about crocydylamorphs there’s a myth saying that they haven’t changed in millions of years even though during the Mesozoic era they were extremely diverse inhabiting almost every ecological niche there were duck billed crocks(anatosuchus) herbivorous pug nosed crocks(simosuchus) and even marine crocks (like metriornychus and thallasosuchus) anyways great video
I love how well you explained them thanks! ❤
This is the kind of content I need to feed my brain with

There were even some dinosaurs discovered there like cryolophosaurus and antarctopelta
Love your videos

Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I actually did a lot of my own research for this using different encyclopedias.
@@WildlifeChronicles434 are there any long documentaries about the mesozoic era that you'd recommend?

Thank you! I actually plan to make more Mesozoic videos so I will definitely keep those in mind.
