I can actually see a difference in the leopard blushes on your cheeks, particularly mood exposure (which looks almost prune-colored on you vs iridescent rose (which looks gorgeous on you IMHO). I do think the snake palette looks really good on you. Better on you than me and I'm a true tan shade. Oddly, the leopard works best on me.
How interesting that the leopard suited you better than the snake (since you’re tanner than me). Must have something to do with the undertones maybe. Thanks for sharing!
Hey do you have a olive skin tone ? I have a medium somewhat light olive skin tone. Would you recommend the leopard palette for my skin tone?
@@monicafaustino4002- it's difficult to discuss my undertone as I'm olive but ruddy in the cheeks. But, yes, the leopards will probably look good on you. I tried to respond but msg kept getting erased. I have both leopard and snake. Leopard blushes are rose toned or plum. Snake Palette are corals and light copper and stronger in shades.

I was lucky to have my Ulta put out these palettes before they were supposed to and I jumped on the jellyfish one. This was actually my first ever hourglass purchase. I love it! But I couldn’t stop thinking about the color story of the snake palette. Last night I got on my Ulta app ordered the snake palette, Natasha Denona I need a nude palette ( have never tried any of her palettes either) and the two faced holiday hangover lip balm trio. Hi! Welcome to my channel! That’s an epic Ulta haul, you are going to loove the ND palette. When u said Hourglass at Ulta I was like, wait Hourglass is at Ulta?! Totally forgot about that *brain fart*. I went on the app just now, the Hourglass phantom glossy lip balms are calling my name. I gotta see if I I have points.
So what do u think of their powders niw that u have the Jellyfish?
Also, some of my older videos are cringe-y. At least to me. I’ve experimented with different ways of editing… anyways, you’ve been warned lol🙈
@@FabiMadeup hahaha! I’m sure your older videos are just fine. You have to start from somewhere! It was a great Ulta haul! It actually came out to $18 because I paid for expedited shipping. I actually love the hourglass powders! I do have to build the bronzer a bit and I’m a light medium complexion. I figure if I can’t use all the colors from the snake palette on my face I could certainly use them on my eyes. But I think I could make them work with a light hand and fluffier brushes.
Yeah, with the jellyfish bronzer i had to build it up quite a bit, what is incredible about these powders though is that even if you pile on several layers, they don’t look cakey like other powders would.
Totally, if any of the snake shades are too much on your face, they’ll at least still work on the eyes. When I did the demo I’m wearing the bronzer and highlighter on my eyes and it looks so good😍

Hi 👋 When I recorded this video I thought Snake was my favorite in part because the Leopard bronzer wasn't showing on my skin, but in a later video I used the Leopard bronzer with a denser brush and I really, really liked it. So def both Leopard and Snake work for me.

Such a detailed review. Thank you! Is the lighting powder in the snake palette too dark / shimmery on your skin?
Hi! Which powder do you mean? If you're referring to the finishing powder, no, it is not too dark for me. It doesn't give me any coverage, it's like a translucent powder on my skin tone. It doesn't have any shimmer particles either. It gives you that very soft (almost undetectable) radiance that Hourglass finishing powders give, if you're familiar with the brand.
If you were asking about the highlighter, it's a shimmery gold color. I prefer wearing it on my eyes because I find it too intense on my cheeks during the day. But for an evening look I can pull it off on the cheeks. Hope that helps!

Hi! Oops, sorry I didn't mention the brush names in the video. For both timestamps I'm using the same brush, the Sigma F10 Powder/Blush brush. Hope that helps!

I have a medium olive skin tone. which palettes would you recommend? my shade in Dior is 3wo warm olive or 4wo warm olive. which is similar to my skin. also, just one more question can the shades be layered. thanks for the video it's really hard to find people with medium skin in the makeup field so I'm always happy when I find someone I can relate to.

I think out of the holiday releases I’ve seen so far this might be my favorite.
Although, the Charlotte Tilbury sparkly eyeshadow palette looks great too. I’m picking that one up today. I’m curious to see how it compares to other sparkly formulas like Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona.

The sunbeam can be eyeshow, I think it would be pretty. I struggle to get leopard or snake, I am afraid it would be too dark, but I am kinda light medium golden skin tone. Maybe it would be ok with light hand.

Hi! I'm thinking that both the Jellyfish and Leopard would work. Because there are only 3 palette options, I initially thought that the depth range would be drastic. That one would definitely be too light for me (suited for fair skin tones) and another one so deep that it would be unwearable for me. But that's not the case. Turns out I could make all 3 work. Hope that helps :)

Hey Hayley, yikes, sorry for the late reply! I think both the leopard and snake would work for you... but it really depends on how "punchy" you like your makeup. For ex, now that I've had the palettes for a few weeks, I find myself reaching for the Leopard one for quick, everyday makeup because it's easier to use in the sense that it's hard to over do it.
I reach for the snake when I have more time to do my makeup since I do have to be intentional about using a light hand.
But in your case, since your skin tone is a bit darker than mine, you won't have to be as "careful" as me with the snake. Leopard will still work for you IMO. But yeah, it's a tough one.

I am an Asian, light medium skin. Do you think the snake palette will be too dark for me? Due the new shades, wanna get the snake one but not so sure it would be too dark.
Hey Emily, I’m a light medium too. Just to give you a better idea, foundations that match me include Pat McGrath light med 9, Mario 5N, NARS Punjab, Haus Labs 270, Hourglass Soft Glow 8.
If my skin were any lighter I think I would deem the snake too intense for my taste. I like my makeup to be more focused on the eyes, not so much the cheeks. But it depends on what effect you like and are going for. You might like it if you’re into more blush-focused looks. Hope that helps 😊

You mean the leopard and snake? Really depends on the skin tone. Since you’re an mua maybe the leopard will be more versatile if you work on a wide range of skin tones. Have you decided which one to pick up?
