Broi graduated high school in 85 so we come from the same generation .I've hade the pleasure of seeing in concert 3 times in high school my friends older brother turned me on to a bunch be of black Sabbath album's ( yes album's ).thats when i
This track is my definitive version of Paranoid. I play it whenever I need to get psyched up. Bought the album in the early 80s when I was a young teen. I'm in my mid 50s now & I still love it!
To this amazing person who found this !!!! Thank you so much !!! I was 17 when I bought this just the black sabbath songs on cassette !! I'm 52 now ! Lost that great cassette tape through the years ! I have searched for years to find it but no such luck ! Now amazingly this night running through you tube I've finally found this holy grail !!! Can't thank you enough !!!! 👍🤗😎. GOD BLESS YOU !!!!!!!!
Pretty damn good version, and BIG respect for Brad Gillis. His playing on this album was phenomenal. I actually cant imagine Randy doing "Speak of the Devil" because he absolutely hated the Sabbath songs. He detested them. Randy was a pro, and im sure he wouldve played all of the songs to the best of his ability, but his heart wouldnt have been in them
Ozzy Osborne recently confessed that all of these "speak of the devil" songs went so bad that they had to re-record Ozzy's voice in post-studio and some arrangements as well.
Ever notice that Gillis does the same little lick into the first verse that Randy did from the Montreal show? I always throught that was interesting. Have to believe it was by design. BTW this was THE song I would invariably blast after 2 a.m. when the bars had closed and I was back home looking for trouble at the Beta house. :) They eventually would disconnect my speakers and hide the wires.
I can't find this live video!!! I like this live, u can hear the bass and the lead guitar is.... wow!!!! The total sound and the tempo is great! Anyone have this live video??? I mean specifically this live!
He got that sound by tapping on the bar of his Floyd Rose whammy. Doing so creates a wickedly fast vibrato. In the 80s we called it making the whammy "cricket".
Who in 2024?? Sabbath, Ozzy forever !!!
Best version of this song ever and the bass player is fucking killing it
The best paranoid with Brad's solo
This is Brad Gillis playing.
Totalmente cierto. El mejor solo de Brad Gillis de su historia.
Hell yeah
@Tamir Hall nope this one is the best
Bought this at 14 in ‘83. It’s still so ingrained in my heart.
Dude. I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS TODAY. I'm 37 and had no idea it existed.
Same here. I was 13 when it came out and I would take to school here in Brazil to shock teachers. lol.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Brad killed this!!! And don’t forget Rudy’s masterclass
They were 2 bassist
Yeah good musicians hopeless artists except for Ozzy. Actually worse version I heard of the song
Brad breathed some kind of new life into these songs kind of hard to believe he went forward with Night Ranger after this.
Back in the 80's all of us metal heads knew Brad Gillis was good. We had no idea how good he was... Amazing work on this album. He is amazing
@@corneliushuxtable Ozzy didn't treat him very well, plus he didn't want to be a sideman in Ozzy's band

Brad Gillis and Rudy Sarzo... What a team.
The first song I ever performed live! I did this version at my Jr. High School for two assemblies and was hooked for life!
Haha, @ 2:20 we have a quick blast of Guitar, Ozzy yells, bass slide ended with a pop on the snare. Love it
These guys went unnoticed as gods of heavy metal awesome musicians. And of course Ozzy will always live on ❤awesome one of a kind music
I bought this album when I was about 12. Just listened to it again after 40 years, but it's all coming back to me!
Bought this record when I was 15 - still the best Ozzy ever! Brad Fucking Gillis! Says he didn't regret heading to Night Ranger but damn, what if??
AWESOME ALBUM, AWESOME LINE-UP!
Greatest lp on sabbath songs ever!!!
Everyone learns Smoke on the water first, then it’s Paranoid. This solo rips!
It's the best album I've ever heard
Holy shit that bassist is slaying!
That is the one and only Rudy Sarzo this was just before Quiet Riot!!
This will always be my favorite party song, man. I can just never get over the absolutely disgusting riffs.

40 years later still no idea how he gets that warbling sound in the silo
