Moscow property became very expensive... some old moscow folks have their garages since soviet union times... where they fix their cars, or just have it as a lockout locker for things... that they own.... companies came to tear it down.... and build something there... a condo or a plaza.
Private companies wanted the land of people already living in this compound. The company brought a dozer to tear the buildings down before the courts decided what to do with the property. They hired thugs to pretend to be police, and harass the residents until they gave up.
This lot was a garage park for veterans and other injured people. The district is trying to demolish without proper legislation or agreement with the community. Russian's be fightin' back!

That doesn't fly in most of the world actually, not even in the US for the most part. Only 17 states allow for that. As long as rent is paid on time, without problems and with no violations by the renter, then they cannot unilaterally nullify it and need consent. That's why places that want to demolish to rebuild something else, often have to pay quite a bit of money in order to get that consent. It's the basis for why you at times come across houses that are literally, right in the middle of the street, even if the majority of such cases are on the basis of the house being owned rather than rented. Point is simply that it's not as simple as just saying that they'll have to leave because the owner wants their property back. The owner is just as much bound by the rental contract as the renter is.

Moscow property became very expensive... some old moscow folks have their garages since soviet union times... where they fix their cars, or just have it as a lockout locker for things... that they own.... companies came to tear it down.... and build something there... a condo or a plaza.
Private companies wanted the land of people already living in this compound. The company brought a dozer to tear the buildings down before the courts decided what to do with the property. They hired thugs to pretend to be police, and harass the residents until they gave up.

That doesn't fly in most of the world actually, not even in the US for the most part. Only 17 states allow for that. As long as rent is paid on time, without problems and with no violations by the renter, then they cannot unilaterally nullify it and need consent. That's why places that want to demolish to rebuild something else, often have to pay quite a bit of money in order to get that consent. It's the basis for why you at times come across houses that are literally, right in the middle of the street, even if the majority of such cases are on the basis of the house being owned rather than rented. Point is simply that it's not as simple as just saying that they'll have to leave because the owner wants their property back. The owner is just as much bound by the rental contract as the renter is.
This is so disgusting, you guys are actual heroes.
