Great series ty. 2 questions please. 1. After taking out the donation - what did you cost of goods end up bring? 2. Love to see how ur storing these shoes in ur inventory. Thx so much. Nancy
Hi Nancy! GREAT QUESTION! I wish I would have thought of this and put in video. When. I back the pairs I am donating, COG moves to $3.48 per pair. Still not bad at all...less than my regular Goodwill and less than each pair in a ThredUP rescue box. I would love to do a video of my office/storage space someday. I can describe for now though. Most shoes I store in the free USPS shoe shipping box. I leave open and stack against the wall on top of each other to about 8 boxes high....a "shoe wall" if you will. I store larger pairs in the USPS medium or large flat rate boxes. For these, I do shut the lids and tape on corner down with a small piece of tap. I stack them and mark the front of each box with a little stickie with the brand/style name of shoe. I sit tall boots on a double rack I have attached the wall.
hi nicole! i am so happy to see you back and i'm glad that you took time for yourself and to enjoy your favorite holiday season! :) i l love those steve madden playy pumps, so cute! i think this was a great deal and that you're going to make a NICE profit. although around 25% was donated, there were still THREE HUNDRED pairs where you'll earn something from them, whether that's from BST, consignment, or listing yourself. that's awesome you already earned over $100 back on just those three pairs. thanks for doing this series, it was so fun to watch. i wish you all the best always, girl!!
I enjoy watching your videos no matter how long it takes. I think we all figured you were busy with the holidays, so no problem there. Society needs to get over their insistence for instant gratification. I think you will make a large profit! Also I am not shocked about how many you donated. Many people cannot afford nice quality shoes and you have helped fill this niche. Think of how many shoes that are just thrown away that could still be worn.... so yes, I am happy with you donating so many. It has been fun watching what you shoes you got and I have learned many new brands. Thank you for including us in your journey!
Aw, thank you so much Christine. You are very understanding...and kind! About donations, what I did not say in the video and should have is that I LOVE the place I donate most of my excess to. I say "Goodwill" throughout, but I use that out of force of habit as a random word for donation. I donate to a small mission thrift store. I have gotten to know the owner. Her main customer base are those that are homeless or well below the poverty line. She sells EVERYTHING for $1 each. It's not that Goodwill or Salvation Army are bad to donate to, but I feel better donating to this small thrift store the majority of the time. It's much more meaningful for me and I know the clothes/shoes go to really good use.
As a nurse myself that just stepped away from floor nursing for a while, C took away my ability to work full time on the floor. Bless you!!! I hope you and your team are doing well. An extra thank you for serving during this mess! I have learned so much from you about reselling shoes! Thank you!!! This series has been so fun to watch.
Congrats on getting through all of these boxes! Was fun to watch your journey and you definitely will make some money on these. You got some great pieces! Keep us posted as time goes on.
EEEK so excited to see the final unboxing! I do agree this box was not as good as some of the others but still you got some great stuff! I would consider wiping off the bottoms of those ASOS shoes and listing them, believe it or not that brand flips really quickly for me and thats a great on trend style. Same with the size 12 - someone needs those for sure! I think its strategic to donate as much as you did. Low hanging fruit in this case can get really time consuming and take up a lot of space. You will make a significant profit even with that amount of donations.
I have enjoyed following your journey. I was wondering how your nurse life was going since the numbers have been increasing. Look forward to following your channel.
You missed a pair in the high end category, the Barbara Bui. I hope you list them and do well, I’ve never found that brand but see it listed in the Luxury item party on Poshmark. Good luck with the listing, this was fun to watch! 🥰🤑
Awesome, you made it!! Thanks for sharing this huge shoe haul. At least with the donated shoes you can claim it in taxes under donations, so that helps. It's been a great experience watching you and with the thoughts and what you learned can help all of us so much. I might one day get a pallet myself (when I have a large space for them). Happy New Year and thanks for all your hard work😄
Switched gears to some TU Partner boxes. Just easier and I am hoping at least the same return as BST, except TU credits vs. shopping credit at BST. I will take it!
Don't be sad about donations! I know the name of the game is to make money. I get it completly!!! But KARMA is KARMA & seems to fit you beautifully!!! 😃 YOU do amazing things for your family & your community from the tidbits you tell. Many more good things will come your way!!!! THANK YOU!
I subscribe to people still who haven’t posted in two years. Don’t worry, you can take a few weeks off. You had some cute things. I sell bags and shoes the best but getting this many would be overwhelming!
just a recommendation.. walmart has rolling shoe racks that fit 60 pairs..They are 39 bucks , I have 6 of them with clip on display cards to number them for inventory. They work really well and don't take alot of space
@@SoulInspiredSeller doesn't work for boots or large men's shoes but they can store 90% of your shoes. They are awesome. I think they are just Mainstay brand or whatever the Walmart house brand is called. I wouldn't pull them behind my car at 30 MPH but to move around for photo taking and storage...they get the job done.

Oooo....thanks Barb! I still have them and will pull them out of BST box. :)
I’ve sold a pair of shorts for $40, The RealReal takes that brand. Good luck!

Tatiana…coming within next week or two! 🥰 I know! The pallet unboxing was so fun and worth it, but very long. Back to regularly scheduled for a bit. 😉

I would probably just roll the dice and send the donations to ThredUp.
Good thought!
